560857 tn?1216129322 I am not lactating. I stopped breast beeding when he was 1 month old. I do have kidney stones. Would that be the cause? Like I said before, it doesn't burn to pee just itches a little and smell's.
Avatar n tn I have urine that feels sensitive after urinating and sometimes at random various times I feel tingling in the urethra up into the bladder. My urine smells kind of acidic. I have diffficulty with constipation from IBS and that makes the symptoms worse when it occurs. It doesnt burn but feels sensitive or different when urinating. I'm a 25 year old female.
Avatar f tn A few days ago, I went to use the bathroom and when I urinate it burned like I was on fire. I did per blood but afterwards I was dripping blood and when I wiped it was pure blood, so much like I was on a heavy cycle. I did feel the urge to urinate a lot. My symptoms just disappeared after 2 days of this. My urine smells bad of ammonia for months now. Just not sure if it's a UTI or what. I had no pain other than burning.
Avatar n tn Other causes of blood in the urine are urolithiasis (bladder stones), kidney stones, bladder cancer, or kidney disease, bleeding disorders and others. It is best to take her the vet first thing tomorrow for a urinalysis, X-Ray of the abdomen, and complete blood work. If she has bladder stones thay would have to be surgically removed. Bladder cancer is sometimes visible on abdominal X-Ray, or ultrasound, and is of course serious.

Avatar f tn From the symptoms you have mentioned, he seems to be having a serious kidney infection which may have been caused or aggravated by obstruction due to the kidney stones. Reddish and cloudy urine indicates that there is hemorrhage somewhere along the urinary tract, if not from the kidney itself, and this can be accompanied by pus cells in the urine.
Avatar f tn The treatment for kidney stones depends on their size and what they are made of and also if they are causing pain or obstructing the urinary tract. Small stones usually pass through the urinary tract without treatment. It is good advice to stay well hydrated as that should prevent the stones from getting any bigger or new ones from forming. For kidney pain you may take a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as ibuprofen or naproxen .
Avatar n tn eating a new diet like increased quantity of meat or asparagus, taking Vitamin supplements (specially Vit B), urinary tract infections, diabetes mellitus including diabetic ketoacidosis. As diabetes and UTI also cause urinary odor, it is good for you to immediately go to a doctor and get yourself checked for the above conditions. Both of them cause increased frequency of passing urine and so one ends up dinking more water.
Avatar f tn I had the same symptoms last year and it turned out to be kidney stones. I didn't want to take the time to go for the tests (I had the exact same symptoms (I can sympathize with your pain)). It took intolerable pain and severe flu-like symptoms (back pain, abdominal pain that traveled down my right leg, nausea, vomiting, severe headache, high fever) to finally get me to go to the hospital. They found the 100% blockage in my right ureter via CT Scan with contrast.
Avatar n tn I have a s/p catheter with frequent infections and I have had on for several weeks the urine smells like "swamp water" and docs won't listen because I had a urine c/s done just before and the won't listen to the fact that it has changed since the c/s I don't run a temp even when septic so it is ignored. any suggestions on getting them to list or treat.I regrect the day I let them place this so I am going to have it removed.
Avatar n tn Hi, Renal calculi can vary in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. If stones grow to sufficient size before passage—on the order of at least 2-3 millimeters—they can cause obstruction of the ureter.
Avatar n tn I had a similar problem and it was kidney cancer. I had surgery and all is well now. Have a CT done of your kidneys. If they catch it early its curable.
Avatar n tn I have a similar problem. It smells so bad down there I can't stand it. I use to get uti's quite a bit, I have had kidney stones and after my baby I now leak urine a bit. My urine smells so bad that after I go to the bathroom, my vagina smells. I take many showers a day but they have no idea what it is.
540521 tn?1221699706 s a urinary tract infection, or it could be kidney stones as well. The kidney stones could be hiding, i have heard of that. Has your doctor given you anything for the pain? I hope everything goes well on Wednesday and hopefully they will have more answers for you. I know it's frustrating, and i am frustrated as well but i just take it one day at a time and i would tell your doctor just how much pain you are in, maybe he can help or give you a stronger medication.
Avatar n tn Hi, Hematuria or blood in the urine may be a symptom of recurrent kidney stones. Are there other signs or symptoms present? There is an increased chance of stone recurrence with patients with history of stone formation. A urinalysis and ultrasound of the KUB may be able to help with the diagnosis. It would be best to see your doctor for furtehr evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.

Avatar n tn I have some bladder discomfort but I just cant get past the urine smelling like tuna. I do have kidney stones and drink tons of water. My urine is a very pale yellow. I dont have the urge to urinate frequently. So Im not sure what it is. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I just wandered if anyone has had kidney stones or bladder stones with NO symptoms, and also whether it is commonplace for people to have crystals in urine - does this necessarily mean stones? Should I be worried that this could signal something worse (like cancer), or would the blood work up have hinted at this? I'm erring on whether to wait patiently for an NHS urologist (could take up to 6 weeks), or whether to investigate this privately, which would mean borrowing money.
18533109 tn?1465640552 Get It but ,Usually, an imaging test and an analysis of urine are done to diagnose stones. Tiny stones may cause no symptoms, but larger stones can cause pain in the area between the ribs and hips in the back. Sometimes stone formation can be prevented by changing the diet or increasing fluid intake.
Avatar f tn Kidney-stones often cause a tolerable pain. They're not always excruciating, as I'm sure you've heard they are. I get kidney-stones chronically, and from time to time, a get one that causes intermittent (colicky) pain that's quite bearable. And another thing, not all kidney-stones cause hematuria (blood in the urine).
Avatar n tn t do a CT scan so he ordered one and I find out I had two kidney stones a 3x2mm in my left kidney and a 5x3mm in my right kidneys. Non obstructive and still in the kidneys in the lower pole. I was told I was at risk for them getting bigger. I got prescribed hydro's and sent home. 8 days later I was in even worse pain to the point I was in tears and so nauseous I couldn't eat. The pain was now in both flanks.
11610581 tn?1419814808 If they did a urinealysis and found that your urine was clear (your words) then they probably meant that you had no blood in your urine and therefore you did not have a kidney stone. Usually with a kidney stone, although many times you can't see it with your naked eye, there will be blood in your urine. That is probably why they didn't do a Cat Scan, as they felt there wasn't a kidney stone causing your pain and problem.
