Avatar n tn Hi, It does seem to me like you are having stones in the kidney. The symptom of pain you have described is very typical of it trying to be expelled from the body. Symptoms of kidney stones include colicky pain: "loin to groin". Often described as "the worst pain ever experienced." Other symptoms could be blood in the urine, due to minor damage to inside wall of kidney, ureter and/or urethra. Pyuria: pus in the urine. Dysuria: burning on urination when passing stones.
Avatar n tn Hi, Renal calculi can vary in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. If stones grow to sufficient size before passage—on the order of at least 2-3 millimeters—they can cause obstruction of the ureter.
Avatar m tn All through the next two weeks i had constant pain in my left groin area but also had bursts of travelling pain from my kidney to my groin. Passed two smaller stones and several fragments. pain was increasing in my groin and started having nausea. Seen doctor on August 5, he was surprised to see my collection of stones and fragments and sent them off for analysis. The +4mm stone is stuck at the entry to my bladder.
Avatar f tn I had the same symptoms last year and it turned out to be kidney stones. I didn't want to take the time to go for the tests (I had the exact same symptoms (I can sympathize with your pain)). It took intolerable pain and severe flu-like symptoms (back pain, abdominal pain that traveled down my right leg, nausea, vomiting, severe headache, high fever) to finally get me to go to the hospital. They found the 100% blockage in my right ureter via CT Scan with contrast.
997798 tn?1250089433 Hi. I have had stones for over 30 years and only over the past 5 years had the symptoms you describe. Is the stone exiting the right kidney? <<<<"along with the pain I now have on my right side" = FLANK PAIN. Please google it and see if it matches up to the pain on the side. Is this your first stone? You need to do 24 hour urines and have the stone analyized, VERY important. DRINK DRINK DRINK ALL THE WATER YOU POSSIBLY CAN FORCE IT.
Avatar f tn If there were kidney stones, then together with other symptoms, you'd experience burning during urination. Kidney stone can cause really strong and sharp colic pain on one side of abdomen (going elswhere from the kidney area in the back or by (usually) one side of abdomen down to the groin. This pain usually causes constipation. Gas, bloating, diarrhea...this goes more with diverticulitis. Temperature means infection, you should get antibiotics (probably according to stool culture).
Avatar n tn Hello, These can be the symptoms of kidney stones or nephrolithiasis. Kidney stones have pain in loin. Kidney stones are usually associated with decreased frequency of urination. You should go for ultrasound abdomen. Please consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn my husband has pain in his groin area. We have been to urgent care, the ER and his regular doctor, not one of them can tell us what's wrong. They say there is no detectable hernia, not kidney stones or bladder stones. He can't walk or move without a whole lot of pain. The ER gave him oxycodone and it isn't even touching the pain. My husband has a very high tolerance for pain and I'm scared he may have over looked a symptom because he doesn't notice it.
Avatar m tn m figuring that kidney stones take a while to form and that, if I have kidney stones and possibly an infection, it's likely that I had the kidney stones first and they contributed to the infection, rather that having an infection first that contributed to the kidney stones (sorry if this sounds confusing).
Avatar m tn Is this due to kidney stones? and will having sex irrate the kidney stones and cause the blood and small blood clots in my urine and pain in my groin.
554628 tn?1362777919 Hi, nausea, headache and kidney pain can be related with nephropathy (kidney disorder), urine test and blood urea and creatinine are usually done for diagnosis. Kidney stones do cause similar kind of symptoms; ultrasound is quite diagnostic for stones.
Avatar m tn About three weeks ago I started to have some painful urination. I quickly noticed i was passing small seed like things in my urine. 472139 tn?1211332563 Hi, Renal calculi can vary in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. The resulting obstruction with dilation or stretching of the upper ureter and renal pelvis as well as spasm of muscle, trying to move the stone, can cause severe episodic pain, most commonly felt in the flank, lower abdomen and groin (a condition called renal colic).
1528126 tn?1291768301 •burning or painful urination •pain in the back, lower abdomen, or groin •cloudy, dark, or bloody urine •foul-smelling urine •fever and chills •vomiting To confirm the diagnosis, the doctor may order an x ray called an intravenous pyelogram (IVP). In an IVP, dye is injected into a vein. The dye travels through the blood to the kidneys. As the dye is filtered into the urinary tract, it makes urine visible on the x ray and shows any blockage in the urinary tract.
Avatar m tn I have stones in my right kidney and also a stone my bladder and also a pain at groin after medication I got rid from groin pain now my problem is when I mastrubate I sense to *** but I can't *** sum times I able to *** but most of the times I can't *** and also a small pain in right testis????
Avatar m tn Sorry I have never had kidney stones only Endo. Some of your symptoms could be associated with Endo or the scar tissue from the 2 C-sections. There would be no way to know if all your tests are coming back negative you would need a laparscopic surgery to diagnose. Maybe this is something that you can talk about with your doctor. Have you ever tried the BCP? Most doctors will have you try that first continuously without a break to see if it lessens the symptoms of the period.
Avatar n tn This could turn out the be a kidney stones. I have MSK many of us with MSK, have lots and lots of stones. I have heard over and over of test being done, and show nothing only to pass a stone a few days later. There are also some kinds of stones that do not show up on test, often referred to as ghost stones or Uric acid stones I believe. No matter what is going on you need to pursue looking for an answer! I hope this passes quickly, literally!
Avatar m tn You might just be the newest member to the Kidney Stone Club. If it is not unbearable now it will be. If the pain radiates down to your groin that is a pretty good indication of a stone. The pain is from when the stone leaves the kidney and attempts to travel down the VERY small ureter that connects the kidney to the Bladder.
Avatar f tn i am a 31 year old male healthy dont smoke dont drink exercise daily love to do thing i have had near 30 kidney stones from the time i have been 18 close to 20 surgeries for stones on both sides but over the last year chronic pain on left side feels almost as if someone has fingers under rib cage and pulling constantly trmendous pain constantly to the point of tears pain worsens when riding in a car or laying down anyone have any ideas???
Avatar m tn If you feel colicky renal pain, you should do a renal color Doppler ultrasound to check your kidney and ureter to see if there is kidney stones or ureter stones, impaction of a stone at any of these sites causes severe pain, known as renal colic, usually felt in the abdomen or side, and often tracking down to the groin
Avatar f tn How are you? Kidney stone pain is often associated with low back pain and abdominal pain. Kidney stones, especially those in the left kidney, can also cause significant amounts of nausea and even vomiting. As the stone moves further down the ureter toward the bladder, the pain often radiates in the groin and genital areas. In men, the pain may radiate to the scrotum. In women, the pain may radiate to the labia or even the vagina.
Avatar f tn One cause of lower abdominal pain that radiates down to the groin and leg are kidney stones in the ureter or some other disorder that causes spasms in the ureter. Certain liver disorders (hepatitis) are associated with ureteral stones.
Avatar f tn I am new to kidney stones. I passed my first kidney stone about 2 months ago and I know I have two more. A 2mm on one side and a 4 on the other side. The first one I had happened at night, so I woke up in pain. I am just wondering is there symptoms you can feel when you are awake. Just 4 days ago, I had 4 very sharp pains in the right side my back over a 2 hour period. Today I am hit with a wave of nausea.
Avatar m tn Hello, This groin pain can be due to epidiymitis( which is inflammation of the epididymis), hernia, kidney stones( ruled out in your case), orchitis( infection of the testicles), testicular torsion, superficial skin infection or pinched spinal nerve. I suggest you to consult a urologist and get evaluated for these causes specifically. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
