192055 tn?1263555537 I have every symptom of kidney stones and its runs in every female in my family. -For 2 weeks had extreme sharp pack pains -Then turned into a dull, constant pain in my lower right back (kidney) -Went to the doc, found blood, no bacteria, in my urine -Slowly both kidneys started to hurt... -All of a sudden, one night, i was sitting down, I got really hot, started to sweat, and felt nauseated. I felt something moving in my left abdomin... not a pro but felt like it could be a stone moving down.
Avatar n tn Pain (dull ache of 3-4 to stabbing pains upward of a 8-9), swelling (rt teste is now significantly larger than normal), hardening in the teste, radiated pain up the inner groin to the right hip socket, lower backache, slight nausea, and a "fluid" that seems to be just around the right teste, however there is NOT any temperature variation between the testes, and there is NOT any unusual redness of the scrotum. Has anyone heard/had all these symptoms?
Avatar m tn As per ultrasound report there is a minor hydronophrosis in the right kidney. Are there any more stones left in the kidney but not seen in the ultrasound? or there is any other reason of this pressure and dull pain?
Avatar m tn m figuring that kidney stones take a while to form and that, if I have kidney stones and possibly an infection, it's likely that I had the kidney stones first and they contributed to the infection, rather that having an infection first that contributed to the kidney stones (sorry if this sounds confusing).
Avatar n tn About 8 months ago I had a kidney stone. Since it didn't pass on its own, surgery was required. Upon further review, I was told I had another stone in my right kidney. Well, since the surgery I've had dull aching pain that was originally only in my right kidney, but now I quite frequently have the pain in both the right and left, but not at the same time. I first thought it was because I drank a can of soda once in a while, because I noticed right after I drank it there was always pain.
Avatar m tn So according to test results, I have no kidney infection and no kidney stones because according to my doctor, kidney stones will show some trace of blood in my detailed urine exam. Also note that during the episode of my back/kidney ache, my chest pain was very little to almost gone. Although they came back a little bit but not to the point that i would go crazy.
Avatar n tn I'm a nineteen year old girl. A few days ago, I started experiencing over-all mild, lower back pain. I have back problems, so I just got out the heating pad and didn't pay much attention. But the pain didn't go away and it's been getting worse. It had become concentrated in my lower back to the right side of my spinal cord, right over my hip. Sometimes it does hurt in the right side of my abdomen and in the middle of my back, too. I'm 99% sure it's my kidney.
Avatar m tn There are different of stones and some of them may not be detected readily. Kidney stones may contain various combination of chemicals such as calcium in combination with either oxalate or phosphate. It is good that you pass these stones. It may help if you can strain them and have them analyzed. A visit with a kidney specialist may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn How many here have dealt with kidney stones during pregnancy? I am 18 wks 5 days and have a stone that needs to pass. Hurts excessively. I had a stone with my last pregnancy at 34 wks. That time required surgery to remove. If this is not gone by Monday I may be headed that way again.
Avatar m tn ) ) He advised me to see a urologist and also that I may have a kidney stone. Kidney stones do run in my family, however, no one in my family has experienced these symptoms when passing a stone. I am making an appointment to see a urologist, however, wanted to ask for help from anyone that could enlighten me as to what this ailment could be. Thank you for reading.
192055 tn?1263555537 4 months ago, I had severe pain in my midback for two weeks (Both L and R kidney). After I explained all the symptoms to my sister, she told me that it sounded like I have kidney stones which she has had before... also my mother, grandmother, and G grandmother, etc. I went to the hospital... urinalysis showed that I had level 1 blood in my urine (just a little blood). Doc ordered me a CT scan... scan was normal, no kidney stones.
Avatar n tn It sounds like it could possibly be a Kidney Infection, or stones, but you would know, you'd more than likely have more symptoms. I would suggest seeing a doctor first. or, you could buy some AZO infection test strips at your local pharmacy. They test for nitrate and white blood cells in your urine and tell you if you have an infection or not. If no infection is present, I would suggest seeing a chiropractor. Hope I helped.
Avatar n tn m a 26 year old female with a family history of kidney stones. In Jan 09, I experienced a dull aching pain in my side that lasted for a couple weeks and then went away. I experienced something similar in late Feb 09 and after a week of this pain, I went to the clinic (I'm in the military). The dr couldn't find anything wrong and said I must ahve pulled an abdominal muscle. However, since I mentioned my dad has had over 40 stones in his life, he sent me for an x-ray.

Avatar f tn So for about the last 5 days I've had a dull annoying pain on my left side, kidney area. It feels sort of like a pressure almost gas bubble like, and sort of pulled muscle. Motrin seems to help but I hate taking it constantly. I also haven't been feeling 100% in general, more tired then usual and slight stomach issues, just all around not great. I'm fairly prone to kidney stones so I know what that feels like and I'm pretty sure that's not it.
Avatar f tn Have you had any fevers, painful urination, or blood in your urine? Perhaps you are suffering from a kidney infection or kidney stones. Is the pain sharp or dull? Does it come and go or is it constant? I would ask your doctor about doing an ultrasound, MRI or CT scan. Blood tests can be helpful in leading doctors down the right road to a diagnosis, but many times they are useless and other tests need to be done.
1139665 tn?1382710950 s own but i had ended up with a bladder infection because of it. What are the symptoms of a stone that is doing damage to the kidney? Or kidney failure? Also if one kidney fails does the other always follow? Would i be in more pain if it were a stone or maybe an infection? It's usually just a dull ache but sometimes i do get little shooting pains. Seems to be worse when i lift something heavy or bend down. No fever and urine looks and smells normal.
Avatar f tn Just an update... It was actually kidney stones.
