Avatar m tn You asked about the relationship between kidney stones and urinary tract infections. In fact, the formation of kidney stones and urinary great links, in the continuous development of kidney stones, it is prone to urinary tract infections. If fever, back pain, pus in urine appears, it could be urinary tract infection. Recently, your symptoms increased and attacked frequently, you are recommended to see the urology physicians. In your daily life, please drink plenty of water, do more exercise.
Avatar n tn For me, it is the mental stuff right now as I have chronic stones and I keep thinking what if I have one and have nothing. I cannot think that way right now. To clarify I was on them prior to this hospitilization but was off for a week then ended up in the hospital with another one -- so I am hoping the 7 days cleansed my body enough to prepare for this time! It is so helpful for people to post -- thank you!
Avatar n tn After seeing a few doctors and urologists, ultrasound and ivp, they found nothing more than my right kidney out of place, down lower than normal and turned. I was also told i have a very mild epispadis of the penis. Are these related? also calcium oxylate was in my urine, what i believe are kidney stones, could they have caused the infection and the blockage of urine?
Avatar f tn She has been taking medication for it her whole life but constantly produces kidney stones and has frequent kidney stone attacks. We were told a few days ago that she is in kidney failure and will need a liver AND kidney transplant. This disorder is so rare that I have trouble finding answers to specific questions online. I am wondering if this is a risky procedure and/or there are any other options out there for her?
Avatar f tn m not a physician though and only know about kidney stones since I have suffered with them for well over 30 years and well over 30 plus stones. I hope you get the answers you are seeking and I would suggest asking a physician who would know for sure.
Avatar f tn I wonder if anybody else has experienced diarrhea with kidney stones? I have had upwards of 40 kidney stones in the past four years but somehow still have no answers as to why my body is producing these or how to relieve them. And i never fail to turn up new symptoms or troubles. I have been having dark urine and a lot of kidney pain lately and I'm sure I have another stone working its way out of my kidney...
Avatar f tn I was always told how uncommon it was for a girl my age (first stones were at age 19,I am now 27) to have kidney stones and also plus because I am a woman and women don't tend to get them. I was never ever offered any help even after asking for advice from many doctors on what should I do?? I have had kidney stones at least 3-4 Times a year. But this past month I have passed 10 stones so far and counting. Each time at the ER I am prescribed pain meds and anti nausea pills and sent home.
Avatar m tn I have had the intravaginal ultrasound which discvoered te ovarian tortion, I had a CT with and without contrast. I have a 3.5 mm kidney stone still in the kidney and I have blood in the urine with trace amounts of bacteria. What I don't have is an explanation to the pain I have. it is extremely tender to the touch. I am scheduled for additional tests with a urologist. what could this be?
Avatar n tn I have a few questions - Been diagnosed with multiple kidney stones in both kidneys - left side largest is 5 mm. I have a 2.5 cm solid mass in right kidney. I also have constant microscopic hematuria. I have a lot of pain mainly on my left side, alot of time enough to make be bend over . Urologist said can't be from kidney stones since they are still in my kidney. I may have passed something but nothing big enough to see since I have been watching when I urinate and have symptons.
Avatar f tn We did many tests and the findings were elevated urea and creatinine, elevated calcium and kidney and bladder stones. The vets disagree on her condition, one thinks that the seizures are caused by the kidneys and the other that the kidneys and the seizures are not related. So far she has not started antiepileptic medication. We changed her food to Hill's k/d and her blood tests are much improved. The stones also seem to reduce. However, the seizures insist and I am very worried.

Avatar m tn To me it sounds like possibly a urinary or kidney infection or even stones. You can definitely run a fever and feel shivery with a urinary or kidney infection. Have you ever noticed any blood in your urine during these times? Have you found anything (other than time) that has helped the sympotoms when they occur? You may want to consider a consult with a urologist just to check things out. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 16 years old and suffering from what I've been told is medullar sponge kidney disease. I have been to countless doctors, including the mayo clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, Children's hospital in St. Louis, and many local hospitals. Every doctor that I've seen has thrown around many ideas of what my disease "could" be, but none of them have ever actually diagnosed me.
Avatar f tn With the low complement, is it safe to assume this is NOT stones? How could it be stones if her urine is only showing pre-cursor to stones? We don't go back for several weeks, as he is buying us time to decide on the biopsy while we wait for the immune tests as well. Also, can she be vaccinated with low complement? Are there any risks to her taking probiotics? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Kidney stones. OK 3.5 weeks pass, thank gosh I held on to the oxycodone/7.5/325. Sent the oldest to the pharmacy to have it filled. Life saver! Go back to the Urologist today because of the last episode, x-ray will be read tomorrow to see if the stone has passed. The Dr. is puzzled because the pain is in my left hip area, hurts like no other and goes down my leg, the kidney stone is in my right kidney. Usually do not have transfer of pain he says but not all people are wired the same.
540521 tn?1221699706 I have not yet passed the stones and i am still getting pain and the stones will not pass. The stones seem to bother me the most when i am standing and being active, Can kidney stones lead to kidney Failure? How much worse can this get? I don't know what else to do , I am at a loss, any help would be Greatly Appreciated. Thank You..
Avatar f tn Lillyrose321, Stones can hit you at any age and the fact that you're having as many stones as you are would indicate that your own body likes to produce those little buggers. Age is not a factor in any of it! I'm in the same boat with you, although I'm quite a bit older than you at this point and didn't start having stones until I was about ten years older than you are now.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to have kidney stones hurt in the kidney before they move to the ureter? Is it normal to have extreme pain in the ureter and in the bladder from a stent? I have been to three urologists in the last 5 weeks and nobody will give me answers.
1010757 tn?1279441304 Hi there, I went into the ER today for suspected kidney stones, and the DR ordered a CTSCAN- The scan came back that I have a teratoma (dermoid?) cyst & stones (yay for me! lol). He sent me home with pain killers (enough for 2 days wtf!) and told me to follow up with my family Dr. I don''t HAVE a family doctor, so I guess I have to contact amy old gyn/ob to follow up with and pray he sees me because this pain is BRUTAL ON to the questions..sorry I know..
Avatar n tn Anyway, all my symptoms now tha I hav gotten home fit the Type 1 Diabetes list and it does run in my family. My questions are also--kidney involvement--they also told me my kidneys were not functioning too what they also should along with a number of tests with what could possibly be malignant bone marrow luekimia. I guess what I am asking is "can" blood tests be off when the blood sugar is so high?

Avatar f tn UTI can also be due to the polycystic kidney disease as well. Kidney stones and kidney failure are late-stage symptoms of the disease. I suggest you an immediate urologist’s evaluation. If the size of the stone is small, it’s usually treated with ESWL in which shock waves are given from outside and stone breaks into small pieces. On the other hand, if the stone is quite big, then the surgical removal of the stone is a better option. Also her renal functions need to be studied.
757137 tn?1347196453 Does any know of supplements that could prevent or cure kidney stones? Many thanks for any information you can give.
423714 tn?1214436023 Your gall pains hurt in the middle of your chest, towards the right side, (and yes your gall bladder is on your right side, I have scars to prove this!) Kidney stones and cyst pains are similar, but stones are much more painful. Anyways, I hope this answers your questions, but really, go and see your Dr.
Avatar f tn I recently had a CT scan of the Abdomen and pelvis. I cannot get an appointment for the results for two weeks but in the meantime I have asked for a copy of my results of the CT. I just want to know what "Pelvic Pleboliths, Cholelithiasis and benign sclerosis of the left femoral head" means. The report also reads " benign appearing cystic change within the right ovary - No free fluid".
231903 tn?1281482584 The pain that you describe in the flank region that also appears in the back and in the front can be due to kidney stones. You also have a past history of these. Hence there is a high chance of these. There could be an accompanying UTI. A kidney abscess too will cause similar symptoms but will present with a higher fever. The other possibility is that the ovarian cyst has got twisted. The third possibility of endometriosis can be considered if you have pain only around your periods.
