Well the gall bladder hmmm I am not sure. The right kidney 7mm... where is it located? The 5mm in the distal ureter can be removed via cystscope easy procedure.. no biggie. Ok to go with meds you need to analyize the stone to find the composition and possibly meds. You are not in need of open surgery called a "PERC" you are not a canadite for open. Please at all costs try to avoid the laser as this will leave much dust and fragments that will than make even more stones.

I have to call tomorrow to see what the next step will be. I had the laser surgery last time and it is the most degrading surgery i have ever had. When it was painful it was like a knife in my back straight through the abdomen with increased pressure 'down there'.

Later I learned that somehow it is not that easy as we would assume to open the kidney and look for stones inside. Plus 2 weeks after my surgery I was producing stones and sand in my kidney (the only one left). It is too soon for any type of surgery and I would not think you are ready for that.

I feel for you dear! I before pregnancy is prone to kidney stones...which puts me s high risk! I know kidney stones are painful enough but to add pregnancy on top of it...its so much worse! I do hope the best for you and a fast recovery!

Hi there, I've recently had a cystoscopy with laser destruction of some kidney stones to my left kidney. I wasn't warned about the severe pain that came to me after the operation. They gave me morphine to numb the pain whilst in hospital but nothing to come home with so it was very sore indeed in my left side and back also the pain when I urinated was quite severe aswell. I had 11 stones that had to be recovered from my kidney and my urologist chose to do a ureteroscopy with laser since he was concerned about damaging my ovaries. my husband just had surgery on Monday .laser procedure was done several stones were into several pieces but while the procedure was taken place the ureter took a hole and started a lick with urine so the doctor stopped and left the stent without the string .My husband could not tolerate the pain so was taken to emergency.He was admitted and has been urinating with blood. very much discomfort on the kidney and has not eaten since Sunday at midnight.

I never experienced anything like this in all my years of endless kidney stones. I gave my Urologist my 6 stones I had collected f5ir the year. They are calcium stones. I went from having 1ir 2 a year to several since 2013. They did a cat scan U think it was and that's when the cyst was found. I've had no symptoms for that either. i am used to the pain and can deal with it, what scares me is the kidney pain. normally i dont get kidney pain with the stones. i had to have only one stone removed surgically, it was stuck in the lining of my urethra, total pain on that episode before and after! Does anyone have any knowledge on preventing calcium oxalate stones that i havent tried already? i cant take diuretics because of a sulfa allergy, the potassium citrate does nothing, and i have slowed down on tea and cheese.

Hi. I'm 24 and have a history of kidney stones since the age of 10. I have had the laser ureteroscopy done twice before with no problems other than pain while urinating for a first couple of days. However, 2 months ago they placed a stent in but were unable to break the stones and just 5 days ago they removed the stent and broke the stones with a laser. At first the pain while urinating was awful. Much painful than previous surgery. It have eased now but hasn't disappeared.

I have Sjogren's syndrone and develop kidney stones often and they usually pass on their on. I had one crushed three years ago. Removing of the thyroid glads does involve leaving the parathyroids un touched. Or as Ive heard they can move them,Been to urologist many time and had four surgery to romove large stones,shock treatment and laser removel, I'm looking for damaged parathyroid glands.Only the urologist can do is put me on water pills and drink drink drink.

Hi I have removed my kidney stones by laser & stent last month, but frequently bleeding is occur and waves pain in stomach and back pain. Kindly let me know if u have know the root cause.

I would think that stents would be part of the procedure. When I had my stones removed, a stents was placed from my right kidney to my bladder. I had a stone blocking the ureter and the ureter needed time to heal. I hope this helps.

In apr of last yr i was dx bya CT in the ER w/ kindey infection, hydronephrosis and 2 small stones at ureterpelvic juction. Tx w/antibiotics for a couple weeks. f/u w/pmd and he rec f/u CT in 3-6 mos otherwise no other tx needed.
