Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones in gallbladder

Avatar n tn Well, you have confirmed kidney stones, you should solve that either. Ultrasound (special one) may work better in this case - it may actually break the stones down, so no operation is usually needed.
Avatar n tn 4 years ago I had one and they found polyps in my gallbladder. In this ultrasound, they were still there. However, he also ordered an abdominal x-ray and found calcifications. Unfortunately, when I heard calcifications, I was shocked and missed parts of what were said next. I heard "kidney or other causes" and "you need a CT scan". What is likely to be found? If it's kidney stones do I just tough it out until they pass? Is it still likely to be my gallbladder?
Avatar n tn Kidney stones can cause pain similiar to this, so you might want to check on that. Any gallbladder issues in your family - do you have gallstones?
Avatar n tn Hi, Hematuria or blood in the urine may be a symptom of recurrent kidney stones. Are there other signs or symptoms present? There is an increased chance of stone recurrence with patients with history of stone formation. A urinalysis and ultrasound of the KUB may be able to help with the diagnosis. It would be best to see your doctor for furtehr evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I have both GB stones and Kidney stones (well, the Kidney Stones come and go) and I would never do that type of regime .. not ever. The consequences can be fatal. How are you doing? Did you have your surgery? Please stop by with an update and WELCOME to our Community!
Avatar n tn you should get a ct scan of the area and see if anything comes up. do not let your dr send you for an ultrasound, as its not common for kidney stones to show up on one. many drs think they will, and occasionally they will, but it doesnt happen often. my family has a history of stones and theyve never showed up on an ultrasound, so get a ct scan to check.
Avatar f tn When she was finally diagnosed previously, after days of intense pain, the stones were still in the kidney, so her original stones caused pain for her before they ever moved out of the kidney. She has had no other symptoms, and for now she is feeling great. She was a bit discouraged when we left the dr, wondering what in the world could "mimic" the stones, if it wasn't the stones.
Avatar f tn It seems pretty extreme that they just removed your gallbladder so quickly. Was your gallbladder developing stones? They could have removed the stones with an ERCP. I would suggest drinking water, cranberry supplement tabs and a mixture of Natural 100% cranberry juice(NOT "cranberry cocktail" which has added sugar) with some pineapple juice. The above mixture of juices always relieves pressure pain in my kidneys.
Avatar f tn A few days ago, I started having a nagging right side pain and by the next day it was so intense I ended up in the ER. They did bloodwork, uralyisis, ultrasound of my gallbladder and ct scan to check for kidney stones. Everything came back normal and now I'm very frustrated. They sent me home with painkillers and told me it could possibly be my gallbladder, to follow up and get a HIDA scan. Now a couple days later, my side doesn't hurt as bad but is sore.
Avatar m tn its either kidney stones or gallbladder ..galllbladder stones cause pain that radiates from the front to the back..and a bit higher than you describe but everyones anatomy is different...mention gallbladder cause you say no difficulty or pain voiding.
1449510 tn?1407160429 had an xray yesterday and they said.I have no kidney infection or stones but that they think it is my gallbladder. The pain feels lower though, but it.does shoot up at times. I havr.had kidney infections and stones before but this.feels different. I also have lost 50 pounds and.i heard that can make your gallbladder go out. I am very bloated lately and gassy too. I see you say you did.end up having gallstones. What did the Dr end up.doing for you?
Avatar n tn When you get a stone stuck in your ureter it stops the colon completely which can cause nausea and vomiting and hellacious pain anywhere in from the kidney down. I had kidney stones and thought when the pain started it had something to do with where my gallbladder was removed the pain is almost in the same area and if you have a large stone stuck in the kidney you will feel awful.
Avatar f tn I just had my first experience with kidney stones last week...and let me tell you, theyhurt like hell!! Ive read alot of moms saying that they said kidney stones feels just like child labor. Anyone else eexperience kidney stones who already had a baby?? Just curious!
Avatar f tn I had an ultrasound done on for my gallbladder not long ago, and they said my gallbladder looked fine, but my right kidney had a small shadow on it. My question is what test should I have done for this? Should I be concerned? thanks for any answers.

5609583 tn?1373500339 Could also be a kidney stones or a kidney infection. I had kidney stones and it hurt right there too but mine was so painful I was vomiting and had to go to the er immediately. I would say maybe kidney infection? Def go get checked out asap though!
Avatar f tn I have just had surgery for three Kidney Stones and apparently Lithotripsy has left me with the condition of Costachondritis. My upper right side is very tender and swollen. I look like I'm three months pregnant! I have lots of burps and heartburn, some shortness of breath and constant pian. Sometimes the pain is so bad it cuts my breath off. My doctors have told me that due to having 28 stones now and 10 Lithotripsy procedures, the stomach is aggrivated. Could this be Gallbladder?
897773 tn?1256732220 going on there, no cancer or endometriosis so it was unexplained as to why this happened. CT also revealed that I had kidney stones. Further tests were done and it was discovered that my right kidney was very small, scarred and only working 11%, it also contained numerous small stones. So it was suggested that this may be the cause of my pain, my kidney was removed 6 weeks ago laparascopicaly and surprise surprise the pain is still there. I'm not sure where to go from here...
Avatar f tn I went to the er the first time and they gave me stuff to stop the vomiting and something for pain and they said I might have kidney stones but never found anything. The next times I just suffered through the pain which usually last about 6 to 7 hours and it is unbearable, like being in labor. I will be fine for a few months and then it will happen again. Please help.
18070169 tn?1463175914 I was checked for bladder infection, kidney infection, kidney stones and gallbladder stones - nothing. So, I am wondering if it is caused by my partial hysterectomy. My hormone balances are good (they left my ovaries) and so I don't know if my body is just a little wacked out right now.
Avatar f tn I have a kidney disease but never actually had stones but I notice lil stone have been coming out of me I was just wondering would my baby be okay I am in a lil pain
Avatar f tn sent me for an ultrasound official results not back yet the tech said she did not think she saw any stones. My question is could it still be the gallbladder and could the ultrasound have missed something. Also I have an oval shaped lump about the size of a walnut on my lower left rib cage which is movable should I be concerned about this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Avatar f tn Could be apendicitis, gallbladder, kidney stones................too many things to try and get an answer in here dear...............do to the doctor asap! If pain is bad and if you have fever.
Avatar n tn Has anyone who has suffered from kidney stones/kidney infections had any trouble with their periods? I had a long, painful period for three weeks and then the following month my period only lasted for two days but I still had a lot of pain - I was told that I could possibly have kidney stones as I had a urine infection and the pain could be linked to this.
