Avatar n tn I have had kidney stones since 2001. Currently (as of May 1) I have had a 15 mm and a 10 mm (as well as several of their babies) in my kidney. I have been scheduled for a systoscopy but when I went for my pre-op, I had extremely (dangerous) high blood pressure. I have never had this high blood pressure in my life (even when I went to the emergency room for kidney stone attacks).
Avatar f tn Have high levels of blood and protein in urine. Glucose levels and blood pressure are fine. I'm about 41 female About a 10 days ago I was surprised when I went to the restroom and noticed I had red bloody urine. At that time I had no pain only the urge to go to the restroom more so but no other symptoms.
987242 tn?1335490770 The surgeon that preformed this task found either uric acid or protien in the kidney that may lead to kidney stones. I have an appointment with him in a couple of weeks, but was curious if this new info will help shed light on what is causing my kidney issues. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn I had kidney stones with my first and never peed blood..got kidney stones again this pregnancy was peeing blood they said bladder infection but I ended up in hospital 3 days later with kidney stone attack so I either had both or was trying to pass stones..I would call my doctor so they can get a urine sample while you are peeing the blood out..
Avatar n tn If your husband has persistent proteinuria additional tests must be done to evaluate his kidney function. In addition to blood glucose and blood pressure control, the National Kidney Foundation recommends restricting dietary salt and protein. The extent of the damage to the kidneys must first be evaluated by his doctors. An oral steroid may be prescribed for his proteinuria proteinuria.
Avatar n tn I may not know much about kidney stones, but I've had multiple bladder infections and risked kidney stones before when I was 18. One thing I can say, I'm not going to be 100% positive on it, but if your son drank cranberry juice (lots of it) check into the effects of the oxalates(in cranberries) and the calcium(in your urine) building up to possibly form kidney stones, the last question on the linked page will be helpful if that's the case. http://www.uti-cleanse.com/faqs.
6850426 tn?1385499085 Sometimes microscopic blood can be detected in the urine if there is a kidney stone anywhere along the urinary tract. Kidney stones do not cause pain or problems until they start to move or press on tissue. Kidney stones come in different sizes and can sometimes be very small like a grain of sand, but can still do damage if they scratch the linings. Some stones (like grains of sand or sediment) can pass through the urinary tract without you knowing that you have had a stone.
Avatar f tn Has anyone been successful using natural remedies such as lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in lowering urine calcium and uric acid levels? After several episodes of gross hematuria it was determined that I have bilateral stones. A 24 hr urine test showed elevated calcium and uric acid. I was placed on potassium citrate and hydrochlorothiazide but the medicines have horrific side effects.

5650943 tn?1374112808 Then you either have a bladder infection or kidney stones or kidney infection..didn't you post earlier that you thought you had one of those?
11610581 tn?1419814808 If they did a urinealysis and found that your urine was clear (your words) then they probably meant that you had no blood in your urine and therefore you did not have a kidney stone. Usually with a kidney stone, although many times you can't see it with your naked eye, there will be blood in your urine. That is probably why they didn't do a Cat Scan, as they felt there wasn't a kidney stone causing your pain and problem.
Avatar f tn In February I underwent two surgeries to get rid of 10 stones. Stones sitting in your kidney can cause kidney infections. Your best bet is to see the urologist and take care of those stones. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn I'm 25 weeks I'm high wish due to me recently getting kidney stones in February this year n steady getting kidney infection I'm due August 10th
540521 tn?1221699706 s a urinary tract infection, or it could be kidney stones as well. The kidney stones could be hiding, i have heard of that. Has your doctor given you anything for the pain? I hope everything goes well on Wednesday and hopefully they will have more answers for you. I know it's frustrating, and i am frustrated as well but i just take it one day at a time and i would tell your doctor just how much pain you are in, maybe he can help or give you a stronger medication.
Avatar m tn Everything was fine until about last week when I began to feel a slight pain in the same kidney as before. My urine (like last time) had some visible blood in it, but would go away once I began drinking a lot of water like in December. I also notice every once in a while when I urinate, I see a very small, red tissue/speck in the toilet. So, since I had many small calculi, I figure I just have another stone coming but the tissue threw me off/is worrying me.

Avatar f tn He recently lost weight after having an angioplasty with stent in late July (blood work shows normal range for cholesterol- blood glucose elevated at 117, blood pressure is normal, pulse 50 to 60). His cardiologists were surprised about the need for angioplasty He is also on meds for Atrial fibulation. He has been eating a healthier diet, sticking to low fat/fat free foods, more fresh fruits and vegatables, whole grains, drinks mainly water (8 to 10 glasses a day) and herbal tea etc.
Avatar n tn Nurse talked to me about the symptoms and said it might just be muscle/ligament pain or kidney stones. She told me to take Tylenol and they would check me out at my next appointment, next TUESDAY morning. (they did offer an emergency spot for me today/thursday but it was during class that I couldn't miss even though it meant that I was sitting there in tears during the test). She told me if it got too bad to go back to the ER. Anyways. tylenol isn't touching the pain.
Avatar m tn I did low carb diet since 2 months ago and have lost at least 12lbs with average blood glucose 80-90mg/dl and post meals (2hours) below 120mg/dl. However, my urination is still frequent. Can frequency urination become an indicator of our actual glucose level?
1534233 tn?1523388856 Sine this afternoon my urine had a red/ping tint to it. I and my wife both think its blood. I've had kidney stones before and when I passed then there was a little blood but this could be seen in the urine clearly, today it seems all mixed. Its the bank holiday and no doctors for another 4 days, I'm not going to A&E but wonder if I should visit the local walk in center or not.
Avatar f tn The last surgery I had was in 2006. I also have had/have kidney stones in my left kidney, I passed a 13mm one in June 2006. In the past year I have not had any reoccuring problems with my obstuction and stones, although I still have 6mm stone in my left kidney. This past week, I did however urinate large amount of blood, my urine was cola colored. With my history I decided to go to the emergency room cause I was very concerned.
