Avatar m tn Is this due to kidney stones? and will having sex irrate the kidney stones and cause the blood and small blood clots in my urine and pain in my groin.
Avatar n tn Other causes of blood in the urine are urolithiasis (bladder stones), kidney stones, bladder cancer, or kidney disease, bleeding disorders and others. It is best to take her the vet first thing tomorrow for a urinalysis, X-Ray of the abdomen, and complete blood work. If she has bladder stones thay would have to be surgically removed. Bladder cancer is sometimes visible on abdominal X-Ray, or ultrasound, and is of course serious.
Avatar f tn Just go anyway your insurance will cover anything back to 3 months! So if you go when you get your bill just mail your insurance info to the hospital or take it up there.
231903 tn?1281482584 Stones in the urinary tract can cause blood in urine in form of clots. What was diagnostic laproscopy done for? Stones? In that case maybe there is a bleeding point inside bladder or kidney or ureter that is resulting in clots. It could also be due to polyps in bladder. What was the result of laproscopy. It is difficult to comment beyond this without further details. Please discuss this with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
161647 tn?1280608163 I had my first lithotripsy yesterday to remove a 5 mm kidney stone. I was told to strain my urine to collect any "gravel". Can anyone tell me how long after the procedure I will see any "gravel"? I am passing small blood clots but I don't see anything else. Do I save the small clots? How will the "gravel" look? Sorry for so many questions and thanks for any info.
Avatar f tn As of yesterday, he has been presenting with blood in the urine. Is it likely that the stones could be causing this blood, even without pain? He has no pain in his sides or back, and urination is not painful either (thus not likely a bladder infection). He has already been to the doctor who has done bloodwork etc., but I am just anxious about it and hoping it can be possible for this to be simply related to his kidney stones, rather than something more sinister.
Avatar f tn I have had a slight amount of blood after the procedure you had, but I have never had the amount of blood or the blood clots that you are describing AFTER the procedure. Prior to having the procedure, YES I have had the symptoms you are describing, but never afterwards. I'd suggest you contact your physician if those symptoms are still continuing.
Avatar f tn today i woke up with sever pain in the lower side near my back on both sides, my urine is bright red, and while straining for stones( none yet) i found blood clots ( apox 5mm x 3mm) the morphine is not controlling the pain anymore, and im not due to go in for stent removal and lithro again until the 21st, is what im experiencing the passing of a stone or should i go be seen again by the ER ( my uroligist is 2 hrs away and my GP is not im until wed, so that is my only option.
Avatar f tn i am pretty sure i am passing a kidney stone. i went to the toilet and almost immediately after going i felt a sharp pain in my left side. I got a ct scan last week, showing 3 in my left kidney and 2 in my right. i'm now passing little blood clots (no obvious blood in the urine), and what looks like tissue. could that be from the stone moving? i can't go to the hospital cause then it's a pre-existing condition and my insurance won't cover it...
Avatar m tn I just had one come out of my system a few days ago. After that I had a few blood clots. It did seem like there was tingling leading up to the clots coming out. It also seemed odd that there was a main part of the clots and then they kind of had tails on them. Even after I rinsed them with water, it remained the main clot and the tail.
Avatar n tn ve been passing these things, whatever they are, probably blood clots- that look suspiciously like worms- for 2 days steady now- I must have over 20 now- plus a bunch of what is clearly blood clots- small round clots, about an inch or so in diameter- something is not right- I just don';t know how concerned i should be over it- I don't even know if the kidney stone is still there- woulda been nice to find that out at least so i could say "Ok- just the stone causing the bleeding and t

Avatar m tn I had Renal Colic which lasted about 30hrs,pain but amazing pelvic pressure, constant peeing, blood in the water and small clots on whiping. I know l passed a stone or stones as at one stage on peeing l felt really strong contracting like feeings in my uretha and looked down to see brown stains/streaks in the toilet. After that the pain and pressure to pee stopped, was only left with sore back/side like l had brusing which has since gone.
Avatar n tn First off, I have a long history of kidney stones. During the process of passing a kidney stone, I ALWAYS experience a few hours of intense pain. Once the pain goes away it does not occur again and I pass the stone within a week. This time was different. I had that initial few hours of intense pain, but then a day or so later I experienced the pain again.
440941 tn?1243648084 I have been told that testing in only about 75% accurate. Then we see people pass small blood clots or in my case a piece of cellular material that we assume is part of my biofilm infection. Either way it won't show on the test but it shows in the pain levels LOL> The big reason for testing is to make sure that the kidney is not being obstructed for a long period of time which can cause kidney damage. The ultrasound should have at least told them if the kidney was enlarged.
Avatar f tn I had kidney stones with my first and never peed blood..got kidney stones again this pregnancy was peeing blood they said bladder infection but I ended up in hospital 3 days later with kidney stone attack so I either had both or was trying to pass stones..I would call my doctor so they can get a urine sample while you are peeing the blood out..
Avatar n tn I may not know much about kidney stones, but I've had multiple bladder infections and risked kidney stones before when I was 18. One thing I can say, I'm not going to be 100% positive on it, but if your son drank cranberry juice (lots of it) check into the effects of the oxalates(in cranberries) and the calcium(in your urine) building up to possibly form kidney stones, the last question on the linked page will be helpful if that's the case. http://www.uti-cleanse.com/faqs.
Avatar f tn I was in the hospital aboit a week ago for some pain i thought was my appendix or kidney stones i find out its a uti but im bleeding heavy like if i was having a miscarriage now i been taking my medicine i was prescribed but nothing helps my pain and stops my blood so everytime i have pain in my lower right side i get up to pee and a blood clot comes out the size of my palm and my side feels swollen when its in pain whats wrong with me?
Avatar n tn Some of the substances in urine (uric acid and calcium) may crystallize and form kidney stones. Kidney stones may be as small as a grain of sand and may be smooth, round, jagged, spiky or asymmetrical. Most stones are yellow to brown in color, but variations in chemical composition can produce stones that are tan, gold or black. The smallest, smoothest stones may pass out of the body with little resistance and minimal discomfort. It is best to dIscuss this with your doctor.
Avatar f tn I'm so frustrated with this whole pregnancy!!! Don't get me wrong I can't wait to hold, kiss, love and smell on my new princess but this pregnancy has been rough. So for past 5mths I kept being told I had reoccurring UTI's when I've had kidney stones for who knows how long. I took my raspberry tea looking urine in to ER today like "Look something is wrong!" Indeed blood was in my urine just like it was Monday when I went into the ER an they said it wasn't.
Avatar n tn Family history of stones. I have 1 family physician, 1 urologist, and 1 kidney stone specialist at UAB. I stopped counting # of stones a long time ago. I have had 3 lithos and 1 other procedure but I forget the name. I and an older brother are taking Urocit-K. In January a CT scan showed 12 stones. An ER trip in late April showed 1 stone. Another ER trip in May indicated blood in urine and CT scan showed 3 stones, no stone was evident outside the kidney.
Avatar f tn Most often it is related to urinary tract problems like kidney stones, inflammation of urinary tract, renal vein thrombosis, certain kidney tumors and polycystic kidney disease, blood coagulation disorders and anticoagulants. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
