kidney stones and water pills

So sorry to hear this, gosh lately i have heard of more and more hear having kidney stones?? I wonder if this has anything to do with us taking too many pain pills? I don't know anything about methadone, but i wish u luck!!!

I have not yet passed the stones and i am still getting pain and the stones will not pass. The stones seem to bother me the most when i am standing and being active, Can kidney stones lead to kidney Failure? How much worse can this get? I don't know what else to do , I am at a loss, any help would be Greatly Appreciated. Thank You..

Each time at the ER I am prescribed pain meds and anti nausea pills and sent home. I am passing stones again and last trip to ER after cat scan I was told I have so many stones in both kidneys they didn't even bother counting. I finally have a appt with a urologist today at 2:30. My questions are....for the past 3 days I have been on a all liquids diet. Always two gallons of water by my bed to suck down. I have not drank anything but water.

i noticed if i would take one at night in the morning/ throughout the day i would get those pain in my left side. Could i have kidney stones? people say the pain pills might effect it because my kidney filters out the toxins from the pills.

Also, do not take calcium carbonate mineral pills since it could contribute to kidney stones because kidney stones are actually pellets of calcium carbonate !! Only drink water which already has dissolved calcium carbonate in it.

Because i still felt them through the pills. Water, water, water, lay off the caffeine and calcium based foods i.e., milk, ice cream, until you can find out what the stones are made of. I had one dr tell ask me if i eat alot of spinach, which i do, and he told me to lay off that as well, for awhile. Just q funny note....i had no medical insurance at the time and ended up paying cash when i ended up in the e.r., and i told the dr upfront b/c he wanted to admit me. I was like noooo way!!

For my first few months of treatment I probably didnt drink nearly enough water and too much caffeine, but for the last 2 mos have drank plenty of water and hardly any caffeine. Could the kidney pain be due to taking too many Riba pills and not drinking enough water? Has anyone else experienced this while going through treament? The pain is very intermittent and is not severe whatsoever, but I feel it. I will talk to my GI at my next appt about this.

The only advice I have is a heating pad, drink tons of water and orange juice and lemonade also lemon in your water. I know how you feel! And if it gets bad enough they can give you stronger than tylonel. Vicaden and percacet are perfectly fine.

If I have had kidney stones before and sometimes get back pain where the kidneys are which is a sign of kidney stones, but it goes away, is it safe to drink ionized alkaline water when you have had kidney problems before? Does it detox too fast for my kidneys or is it safe to detox that way?

I am 21 weeks pregnant and went to the hospital a few days ago in severe pain. Ultrasound revealed that I had water around my kidney and a blockage, which was caused by a kidney stone. I have only been on Topamax for my migraines since November 2010 and by January I had four kidney stones. One in my left kidney and three in my right. Now I have been taken off Topamax and it was so far the best medication for my migraines I was on 100mg of Topamax and went from having a migraine everyday to once a month. Worst pain everrrrr,, I get them with every pregnancy this is my 4th, I passed the stone and caught it in a cup thing my doc gave me, he sent it to the lab to test it and see what was built up in the rock, and to my surprise it was all the minerals from the prenatal pills, I quit taking them and have been feeling great, I am now 24w, I try to take one pill every 1 to 2 weeks because I feel the need to, but yes I've had them several times with my other pregnancys and never knew why, good luck

Went through having my appendix removed after a month of being in hospital even tjough they were adaamant it wasnt that (good job as it was close to bursting) then for the following year put this excruciating pain down to cyists on my ovaries then they found lut after having constant unrine infections that I had a cm and half kidney stone.

You may want to consider switching to percocet. Also, drink lots and lots of water. This will help you pass the stone sooner and prevent future stones.

For me, I'd get pings and pangs in my kidney as well as microhematuria (blood you cannot see by eye) in my urine when I have stones. ve been having difusse abdominal Discomfort and pain for months and after an ultrasound. My doctor said I had a small kidney stone and recommended me to put lemon juice on my water so it can dissolve it. How many lemons should I squeeze in a glass of water? I have been to about a dozen different urologists with each telling my husband and I they don't know what to do to help me stop forming stones and then labeling me a "pain drug seeker" so they don't have to admit they can't figure it out.
