Avatar f tn Has anyone had kidney stones during your pregnancy and what did the pain feel like. I went to the hospital earlier and was sent home and told I was just experiencing round lig pain but I'm a bit skeptical of that verdict because it lasted for hours and the pain was so intense. I didn't test positive for a uti either but idk what to think. I dont have bloody urine but i swear i peed out something resembling a small pebble earlier too.

Avatar n tn t do a CT scan so he ordered one and I find out I had two kidney stones a 3x2mm in my left kidney and a 5x3mm in my right kidneys. Non obstructive and still in the kidneys in the lower pole. I was told I was at risk for them getting bigger. I got prescribed hydro's and sent home. 8 days later I was in even worse pain to the point I was in tears and so nauseous I couldn't eat. The pain was now in both flanks.
Avatar f tn So painful i know i had to stay at l and d a couple days for them to manage my pain via iv till i passed the big stone and was discharged with many small ones. Try a shot of lemon juice and olive oil....it basically lubes your kidneys and ureters to help pass. I have dealt with tons of stones even outside pregnancy, but its worse being pregnant bc you cant have surgery to have stents or litho.....
Avatar n tn Just sharing some info that I got from another forum. Lemon juice, olive oil, and chanca piedra are the most common remedies to flush out kidney stones. You can Google them for more information.
Avatar f tn My fiancée has had a lot of problems with kidney stones he has blood in his urine and his back hurts like they are bruised quite often what can we do to help this he has passed 4 stones in the last 8 months and we don't really know what else to do... any advice?
Avatar f tn Simon, I tried a lot of the stuff I saw online. Olive Oil , Lemon Juice (like 20 fricken Lemons) nothing "shrunk" it. Your urologist will tell you if it's "passable" or not and if you have any blockage. What did help me was sleeping on the opposite side of the stone those days I felt the best when I let gravity help . Set a timer for an hour and have 8oz glass of water ready and drink it, if you feel up to it work out. Dont sit around.
Avatar m tn I have two kidney stones one in each kidney, 2.3mm and 2.8 mm diagnosed by Ultrasound. The doctor advised me to take plenty of water. 3-4 liters a day.
Avatar m tn I have both GB stones and Kidney stones (well, the Kidney Stones come and go) and I would never do that type of regime .. not ever. The consequences can be fatal. How are you doing? Did you have your surgery? Please stop by with an update and WELCOME to our Community!
Avatar n tn Your sister can change her eating habits to try to prolong another gall bladder attack by excluding all diary, fatty meats (only meat without skin is okay and no red meat), vegatable oil (olive oil, omega 3s from fish are okay), and highly processed foods. Wishing you and your sister the best. Take care.
Avatar m tn Nigella sativa oil can be taken to get rid of kidney stones. It is very good for you. I take it regularly and I don't get sick.
4296693 tn?1352377027 at 10pm, take a half cup olive oil or sesame oil w/ a half cup of fresh lemon juice, mix it well and drink it. the oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage. the next morning, you will find green stones in your stools, usually they float. by: Dr. Lai Chiu-Nan please try this.. after this treatment I feel so great! and yet I saw a lot of stones in my stool.. and now I have my regular exercise 6times a week, w/ vit. and supplements, liveraide, vit.C and multivitamins.
Avatar f tn No, I don't think it will affect kidney stones, but.. Slim fast has horrible ingredients, and I would not feed it to my dog. From their website, they list Hydrogenated soybean oil, High Fructose Corn syrup, etc. Soybean oil will make you fat, and so will high fructose corn syrup.Suffice to say, stay away from Slim Fast! Eat whole foods instead. At best, these drinks may cause rapid weight loss, but they are not healthy and usually the weight comes back later.
Avatar f tn Back when my pain was consistently on my left over the course of a year and a half I had three CT scans done. It was determined that I had kidney stones in my left kidney and that my pain was being caused when I was passing them, outside of that no abnormalities were found in my scans. I have seen two urologists since the discovery of these stones and was dismissed by both. They claimed my symptoms are not consistent with kidney stone pain.
Avatar m tn My daughter since her pregnancy 5 years ago gets kidney stones and for the last year they are getting more and more frequent and now are about once a month and are getting bigger and unable to pass. She also has major back problems and is in need of (2) back surgeries but cannot get them done because her kidney functions are too low. She is only 25 years old. So she is not able to work and has TennCare for her health insurance. She has a stone right now that is 8.3 mm and too big to pass.
Avatar f tn 7 Bun 16 Alkaline phosphatase 55 Still no stones Vitamin d results not back yet....but I take 2,000 I u daily, fish oil daily and I am in the sun often without sunscreen for at least 15 min.   So I'm thinking it should be fine. What is this looking like?  I'm concerned about this being the beginning of Kidney disease or failure even though my creatinine and bun are fine.  Oh and I don't drink alcohol and I'm not a recovering alcoholic.
Avatar n tn I had a stone that blocked my kidney and even after blasting would not come out without being scooped out. This was in my left kidney. Kidneys were both checked out thoroughly for damage and other stones - neither of which was found. Questions are...Since it has been two months and I haven't passed any stones are they likely to just stay put? If the larger one gets stuck after I have my surgery will they be able to go in and get it out without cutting me or screwing up the TVT?
Avatar f tn Hi mommies and mommies to be, as of Saturday I was 22weeks and admitted to the hospital for a reoccurring kidney issue. ( about 2.5 years ago I almost died from ecoli in my left kidney and was in the hospital for 12 days with Iv anti biotics and 3 months out of work and on meds by mouth) I came in 3 weeks ago for kidney pain and was found to have a bacterial infection, was given bactrum in a very high dose for 3 days...
Avatar f tn Has she had a CT Scan w/o contrast in regard to the stones? What has it shown? I have an uncommon kidney condition called MSK (Medullary Sponge Kidney) along with having had out 1/2 my thryoid bcz of nodules that were atpical but my parathyroids were fine and all tests were A-OK that both my Uro and Endo have run inc. a 24hr urine test. Avatar f tn I wonder if anybody else has experienced diarrhea with kidney stones? I have had upwards of 40 kidney stones in the past four years but somehow still have no answers as to why my body is producing these or how to relieve them. And i never fail to turn up new symptoms or troubles. I have been having dark urine and a lot of kidney pain lately and I'm sure I have another stone working its way out of my kidney...
Avatar f tn How unusual is it for the stones to be in this meaty part of my kidney and since they are still in my kidney aren’t they just going to continue to grow larger? Are these stones causing damage to my kidneys? They don’t seem to be causing any blockages based on the ultrasounds that have been done, but I still have had frequent flank pain and blood visible in my urine prior to the surgery. Is there any hope that I will be able to be stone free and prevent more stones?
739632 tn?1454261272 I had my first stone last year. I didn't even know I had one until the intense pain sent me to the ER. Like others I got pain meds and a ct and told it was already in my ureter and it's 2mm. Didn't know what that meant of course. Was sent home with pain meds and passed a little bebe stone the next day and it was over. This time around it hasent been anything like the first. Had on and off dull pain since Xmas.
Avatar m tn m 19 years old and I have been having intense pain in my kidney area on both sides for about 4 months, and I have been to 2 urologists. While they have diagnosed me with kidney stones and they said that I have a couple of small stones in each kidney, but they are not blocking anything so they are not the cause of my pain. I have also been to a physical therapist who said it is not musculoskeletal. I have also been having hematuria for at least 2 months.
Avatar m tn Has anyone here with kidney stones tried vitamin B6 and magnesium to prevent new stones from forming? I read a study that concluded that taking 50 mg of B6 daily with 300 mg of magnesium oxide (one of the least absorbable forms of magnesium) will prevent future kidney stones. I also read that potassium and B6 does the same. Perhaps the magnesium works because potassium is better absorbed if there is sufficient magnesium.
Avatar m tn kidney stones can be very recurring and can start very young, although ive never heard of someone getting them in their early teens.. usually early 20s, but that doesnt mean it doesnt happen earlier. it sounds like you will have to sit in some pain until you get insurance again. you can try to seek out clinics, but theyre not very good at helping. get your insurance back and go to a dr, because if you have them so often, you might have something else going on.
