Avatar n tn Low blood pressure as long as it is not TOO low is generrally better for you than dangerous persay. 120/80 is textbook normal, but 110s/70 is better. sbp under 100 thinks get grayer. A bp with the top number under 80 gets to be problematic. A dangerously low bp is when there is not enough pressure to perfuse organs and that is fairly variable.
192055 tn?1263555537 IVP, blood tests, and going to send a microscope through me to see where the blood is coming from About 2 weeks ago I went to the ER since I couldnt stop shaking and my stomache kept spasming. My blood pressure was 140/89- my usual is about 120/60 (21 y/o Female) They didnt know what was wrong... gave me saline and sent me on my way. The last 25-26 hours, I have had a constant, low fever... ranging from 99-100.
Avatar f tn both low blood pressure and low blood sugar, passed out a few weeks ago because of it
Avatar m tn Your mother's blood pressure is in the high range of low blood pressure. If and when it gets to about 50/33 it is considered dangerous. Regarding sepsis most individuals survive severe sepsis and recover completely and their lives return to normal and hopefully there is no permanent kidney damage. Sometimes drinking 5 to 7 glasses of water per day can help normalize blood pressure and heart rate.
Avatar f tn s then it may be getting low. The 145 is actually high. My husband has high blood pressure, so we all take our blood pressure a lot.
Avatar f tn My blood pressures been normal, well according to them. My blood pressure is usually reallllllly low. But today it was 130/64 and last week it was 138/90. So its still normal.
Avatar f tn I went to urgent care the other day because I was having really bad pain in my low back and could barely walk. The doctor said I had a Kidney infection and prescribed me antibiotics. My question is I have been taking them for 3 days now twice a day and been drinking lots of water, but my pain is still there it hasnt went away. Also when I woke up this morning I went pee and my right side hurt really bad for atleast 10 mins.
Avatar m tn Well it certainly appears that your diabetes and hbp are affecting your kidneys. Your GFR isnt horrible but you don't want it to continue dropping. Are you seeing a nephrologist? Make sure you see a kidney dr and that he knows all of the meds youre taking-even over the counter. Avoid any ibuprofen or any anti inflammatories as these are hard on the kidneys. You really need to make sure your diabetes and hbp are under control also. Your creatine is slightly high but not horrible.
1916673 tn?1420233270 No, and then my vet put my dog on medication for high blood pressure, saying it would help slow further kidney damage..
Avatar m tn I do think that continued high blood pressure can cause kidney problems. You've had this going on for quite awhile now so it's time to do something about it. Most Drs will do nothing if ***'s below 139/89, because it's pre hypertension and they want you to try and control with it with less stress, diet and exercise. But 160/100 is hypertension. Solace gives you great advice. Get more reading so they can take an average.
Avatar n tn In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography , thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis. I sincerely advice you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made.
Avatar m tn With fever and anemia, kidney should be reassessed for infection. Kidney infection cause anemia. A urine examination should be done and if RBC are detected in them, then complete kidney function panel should be done. Leukemias, liver infections, parasitic infects of gut like amebiasis and giardiasis and SLE can all cause anemia and fever. Do discuss this with your doctor and get your father examined in this line. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Try to exercise and eat low fat and low salt diet to help prevent any increase in your blood pressure I hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I am also wondering about if your dog does have low blood pressure and as you stated low BUN, read up on Low Thyroid. I mention this because I have a dog that most vets thought that he had Kidney disease and wanted him on special food, will about 4-6 weeks later he had a siezure and I called several vets, none seemed that concerned except one did suggest that I get a thyroid test done, as he said often it is a low thyroid that cause this problem.
212161 tn?1599427282 if you always had great blood pressure, but than it starts going up could that mean you have a blockage ?
Avatar m tn A patient developed kidney infection and high blood pressure. The kidney infection was diagnosed and treated through IV, the high blood pressure failed to normalize after kidney treatment, the kidney were still passing some proteins in the urine after treatment. His legs started swelling and he was diagnosed with heart problems as indicated below.
471949 tn?1236904026 m now taking lots of prescription potassium supplements (8meq-6 tablets per day). I actually now have low blood pressure because of the change in blood pressure meds (now on spirolactone)....but once again, doc told me not to worry about the low blood pressure (even though I'm dizzy alot). If they reduce my blood pressure meds, I swell very badly. I can't switch docs...not an option at this VA.
Avatar f tn m 23 weeks pregnant and I just got out of the emergency room a couple days ago for a kidney infection while I was there they held me longer because I have low blood platelets that really scares me have any of you experienced low platelets? How do I raise my platelets count?
5889951 tn?1380316047 It coukd be a UTI or kidney infection because you are earlier on. Also could be from dehydration. Here is other causes: There are many other possible causes of protein in urine. Emotional stress, being exposed to cold or heat, fever, and strenuous exercise are some of the temporary conditions that can cause this problem, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Avatar f tn he tested my urine he said there was loads of blood in it so asked if i was on my period (im not) he said possible kidney infection or kidney stones. was given anti b and told keep my sample in fridge overnight and take back to docs in morn for test . if it comes back clear of infection then request scan on my kidneys. im just confused on that part as i thought blood meant infection?
Avatar n tn Generally, a high serum creatinine level means that the kidneys are not working well. Causes include kidney failure (acute or chronic), kidney infection, drug toxicity, dehydration, high blood pressure (hypertension), and high sugar levels (diabetes). It is possible to have acute renal failure and still have normal-sized kidneys. Renal atrophy may result from chronic renal disease or infection, as well as other conditions such as narrowing of renal arteries or obstruction of urinary tract.
Avatar f tn gfr measures your kidney function.. low filtration rate is suggestive that your kidney has not been working very well.. creatinine is fairly reliable indicator of kidney function.. so the high value of your creatinine may be because of your kidney.
Avatar f tn That really is not too low, I run that low at times myself. However, for you, this MIGHT be too low. I suggest you take the herb, Licorice, this herb helps to strengthen the adrenal glands, you see, if the adrenal glands are tired, you will have the symptoms you are experiencing. Also, add a good food-grade multi-vitamin and mineral to your diet and extra B-5, B-5 is an adrenal supporter too.
Avatar f tn My mom and both grandmothers have/had diabetes but they also were overweight, had big bellies and ate horribly, smoked and never exercised. I have low blood pressure sometimes too...never had high blood pressure. I would think diabetes would be highly unlikely.....???
