Avatar f tn I had severe back pain, between where butt starts and back of ribs. but knew it wasn't a muscle/bone that hurt. also, spotting/blood when wiping after pee. they are a bladder infection left untreated, I get them ALL the time when I'm pregnant early on. I lost 2 early babies after I had kidney infections. I had one this last pregnancy I caught when it was just a bladder infection at 5wk, but ended up losing the baby at 17wks. not sure if there's a connection.
4476664 tn?1361632949 I was told I have slightly elevated nitrate, which could mean a bladder infection, but it was caught early enough for me not have any symptoms. Doc is prescribing me some meds that I will be taking for seven days.
Avatar f tn Is it too early to know if you are pregnant at 3 weeks? I feel some pregnancy symptoms.
Avatar f tn ive been put on antibiotics for uti ubtil i gwt my results but im worried its a kidney infection...I knew kidney infections can be deadly in pregnancy...is this true? Im freaking out...
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for anything besides kidney infections? Like possibly a kidney stone. Do you have any blood in your urine? Do you have any other symptoms. For example - fatigue, body pain, sleep problems or anything out of the ordinary?
Avatar f tn I went to UC for kidney infection/kidney pain in my lower back rt hand side. The symptoms were severe the night before. Left a urine sample and was told i have a bad bladder inf. Dr prescribed macrobid. Then next morning my lower back was hurting again, same spot. Will macrobid help clear up a kidney infection?
Avatar f tn Hi, Usually, the signs and symptoms of kidney infection begin to clear up within a few days of treatment. Take the entire course of antibiotics recommended by your doctor to ensure that the infection is completely eradicated. Recurrent kidney infections may result from an underlying medical problem, such as a structural abnormality.
11020738 tn?1414617945 I did let my doctor know, and the worry was that I had a kidney infection and they put me on an antibiotic which has made my uti and kidney stop hurting. Luckily I have no cramping or contractions besides regular braxtons. My vagina hurts very often but I can't tell if it is just nerves down there or if my baby is very low and kicking me low maybe I'm not sure. Hopefully it just grows right back and baby continues cookin!
Avatar m tn The first symptoms of HIV infection, sometimes called acute HIV infection or primary HIV infection, occur about 1 to 4 weeks after the virus was transmitted.
168077 tn?1200231377 I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but any helpful responses would be greatly appreciated. This morning I woke up and my left side below my ribs in my back is aching pretty bad and if I tap it with my fist it hurts worse. A few years ago I went to the doctor with what I though was a UTI but when they checked my urine there was no sign of an infection so they gave me medicine and told me if it happened again that I may have to see a urologist.
Avatar f tn Even if you think you have a urinary tract infection or kidney infection the best thing to do is call your doctor all they need is a urine sample when tou get there
Avatar f tn So I have been in agony all weekend in my lower right back and lower right abdomen. It has gotten progressively worse and now I actually can't even move it hurts that bad. :( I have a Drs appt in half an hour to check what it is. I really don't want it to be a kidney infection. But whatever it is I am in complete agony. I feel sick and the pain is so bad. Is this really bad for my baby girl? I'm 22w today.
Avatar f tn A kidney infection is just the result of an untreated bladder infection. I had a kidney infection two years ago and it was awful. The medication you get should knock it out if it is an infection, or stronger ones if it doesn't work.
Avatar n tn He had a stomach virus and he was getting treatment and then it went to a bladder infection and from the bladder it turned into a kidney infection. He got got treatment and he got better. About 2 weeks later he is back in the hospital with the same problem and they cant figure out where the infection is coming from. I am very grateful to you for replying, Doctors in Trinidad aren't very liable.
Avatar m tn I have looked at symptoms of kidney infection and the only part that fits is the throbbing back pain. No fever, no nausea or vomiting, chills. I am fatigued, but I haven't been sleeping well because if the throbbing pain. I have been drinking plenty of fluids, cranberry juice and lots of water. I hate to waste the money on another doctor visit if they are just going to give me a muscle relaxer for back pain.
Avatar f tn Hi , I am 22 years old male and for about 2 months now I have been having urinary frequency no bad but just the feeling of always having to go pee , and my lower back has also been hurting these past weeks , I've had 3 urine cultures done no infection and no blood present in my pee doctors have also did blood work and kidney ultra sound... Avatar f tn Had a chest CT scan for shortness of breath which incidentally showed a 4mm left renal stone. I have no symptoms and my physician's nurse simply advised me to follow up the chest CT scan in 1 year and never mentioned anything about the renal stone. Does this sound correct - I shouldn't be worried about it unless I have pain?
Avatar f tn I am SO sorry to hear about your little Rico. If he's already been diagnosed with kidney failure, these odd symptoms could very well mean you are looking at the end. When the kidneys can no longer do their job of filtering toxins out of the blood, those toxins eventually get high enough to cross the blood-brain barrier. That means you'll see some very odd mental and physical symptoms including loss of sight, hearing, physical coordination, etc.
Avatar f tn pain is colicky I guess. She mentioned a kidney stone but seemed to think that the lack of blood in the urinalysis suggested no kidney stone. I haven't had any tests other than the urinalysis. But, again, the pain isn't unbearable as I would think it would be in the case of a kidney stone or even a kidney infection. It does seem to be radiating a little lower down my back than it did yesterday though. I don't know, the doc is calling me tomorrow to check on me.
Avatar f tn ve finally been hospitalized with a kidney infection. The doctor said the good news is I caught it early despite none of the typical symptoms. She said the baby is fine but I can't help but worry. I'm here for a few more days connected to IV fluids and antibiotics. Has anyone else who's been through this have any advice for getting through it and making sure it doesn't happen again?
