5211509 tn?1365183005 I assume that I am done with my period and am now just going through breakthrough bleeding. I am 17 years old. How long will breakthrough bleeding go on? Should I take anything to counteract becoming anemic? Is there a way to stop BTB? I'm weary of not being able to be intimate with my boyfriend of almost 2 years. And the constant bleeding and cramping is just annoying anyway.
8201329 tn?1397004442 ve read that sometimes the horomones in the pill a gal takes might not be strong enough and can therefor cause breakthrough bleeding. But I've also read that this brown discharge can be a sign of implantation and pregnancy. I am very concerned as none of this makes sense. I do not want to be pregnant, which is why I am on Birth Control in the first place. I have serious anxiety, so hopefully someone can help me pretty quickly! Do I need to get a pregnancy test?
Avatar f tn I'm thinking in experiencing breakthrough bleeding again . But it seem a tad bit lighter than the first time I got it.
Avatar f tn That happens when one miss Junel Fe for one day. Junel Fe usually take the body's bones and reduce the calcium. Using the reduction of calcium, Junel Fe then can make the baby's mess to be less (as babies are made from pouches and the bones). It's a dangerous and really effective drug. Stop the bleeding with ivory (plant) and ivory (mineral).

Avatar m tn I have been in Junel FE 1/20 for three months now. I had my period on Jan 1st. It was my regular period. 3 days of bleeding and the fourth day spotting. Then on February I did not have my regular period. The first week of February I had discharge that looked like it could be old blood, but I never bleed to the point that I had to have pads or tampons on. In March same thing happened. I saw a spot of blood in the toilet water, but I am not sure if this was my period.
Avatar f tn I am breakthrough bleeding during week 2 of birth control pills. Should I stop this pack and if yes, when do I start the new pack?
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced breakthrough bleeding at 8 weeks and then stayed pregnant?
Avatar f tn Breakthrough bleeding also depended on other factors like dose, potency, and activity of the particular progestin in the combined OC as well as the ratio of the estrogen and progestin in the formulation and other factors like missed pills and smoking. So this bleeding that you are having is breakthrough bleeding, but it is important to find out whether it is due to switching the contraceptive pills or due to pregnancy.
Avatar f tn For the first 3 months I had thrush exactly a week before I was due on every month as well as breakthrough bleeding. That went by the 4th month but the breakthrough bleeding still happened. It started slowly going so I thought finally I was getting somewhere but its suddenly increased again. The doctors are now putting me on a new pill called Gedarel which contains 30 mg ethinylestradiol and 150mg desogestrel.
Avatar f tn I was regular until October when I began having severe cramps and periods lasting 21 days with very heavy bleeding. I went to my doctor who put me on Junel (birth control) and the periods slowed some, but I had a lot of bleeding even on the birth control. Stumped, my doc referred me to an OBGYN that specializes in complicated cases. After a pelvic ultrasound (and a lot of blood loss, because by this time it was already January!), the doc saw a tennis ball sized cyst on my ovary.
Avatar n tn s something call breakthrough bleeding, that usually happens in the 1st trimester. Got an u/s and my baby/me is okay. But still see your Dr to be safe, and get that security.
Avatar n tn I recently changed my birth control pills from junel Fe 1/20 to Azurette. I had been on Junel fe for years, and was on Azurette before as well. I decided to switch back to Azurette because it helps my acne. However, I was advised to use a backup method for a month when exchanging. I finished my Junel Fe and got my period, then started Azurette on the Sunday after my period. I had the condom break the following Sunday after.
Avatar f tn I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly? Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn I am a 34 y/o mother of 1. I’ve been on BCP for 12 ½ years. In Aug 2007 I started taking Kariva 28 day and stayed on it until Aug 2009. A few months before this, I began having issues with my cycle. I wasn’t getting my period, I got my period early plus the full week I was supposed to, and then I was spotting several days a month. I then found out I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and started treatment hoping that would help. I didn't. I went on Portia 28 for 5 months, Junel 1.
Avatar n tn Every time I go to my pharmacy to get my BC, they switch me from Junel FE 1/20 to Blisovi FE 1/20. They always say they are out of whichever brand I am currently using at the time. I Googled both brands and they have the same ingredients in them. I was wondering if it is unhealthy to keep switching brands even though they have the same stuff in the pills?
Avatar n tn At 4 weeks it's possible it's breakthrough bleeding from your period. I bled for a few days at exactly 4 weeks with both of my pregnancies because of breakthrough bleeding, but it was fine. The only time spotting turned out to mean I had a problem was when I spotted at 11 weeks.
Avatar f tn I’ve taken 4 pills since the mishap and yesterday started experiencing breakthrough bleeding and agonising cramps!! Is this a ‘period’? Should I continue with the rest of the packet and have my 7 day break at the end like normal? I had sex on the Tues+Thurs after the missed pills, what are the chances I could fall pregnant from that? Thanks!
Avatar m tn Could someone infected by HIV experience breakthrough vaginal bleeding while on the pill? This is in combination to slight chest pains, nausea and weight loss. These symptoms occurred about nine months after possible exposure to the virus.
Avatar n tn It is common to have irregular vaginal bleeding or breakthrough bleeding while on Levlen between your periods. Irregular vaginal bleeding may stop after your body has adjusted to LEVLEN which may be after about 3 cycles.Brevicon can also cause breakthrough bleeding. Illness, medication, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal changes, stress or rapid variations in weight, disorders affecting the thyroid gland all can lead to irregular menstrual cycles. Take a balanced diet and a healthy meal.
Avatar f tn I was taken off ultra low dose birth control pills because of breakthrough bleeding, which i hear is a common side effect, and tomorrow I start the Generic version of Seasonique. I am going to New Mexico in August for a job interview , and don't want any breakthrough bleeding during that time, because heat, and bleeding and job interviews, don't work well together....
Avatar n tn Breakthrough bleeding is one of the top most common side effects of being on the pill. And also being on the pill will change the appearance, timing, and length of your period. Nothing in your post is any cause for concern. But if the breakthrough bleeding continues then you may have to switch to a different pill. Which is also not a big deal and a common thing to happen.
Avatar m tn Hi! I just started Minastrin about three weeks ago. I was off of birth control for several months and the doctor at the women's clinic I visited suggested this birth control. Since it has been so long, I did miss a pill in the second week, but as soon as I noticed I took it. I don't know if that's the cause of bleeding, but for the last five days I've had some significant "breakthrough" bleeding.
Avatar f tn Hi! Im 21...on the birth control "Junel" which is generic for Loestrin 24. I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred.
Avatar f tn I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding on ortho tri cyclen, between days 11 and 14 in my BC pack. The doctor syas it happens and it is only annoying but I really would like to not have to endure three or four days of breakthrough bleeding or spotting every month. It is messy and not very pleasant during inter course. What other pill combination would lessen this? I am open to a type and dose that will stop this.
