Avatar f tn When I was around 18, I frequently experienced mild joint pain in my knees and in my lower back. I used to be a dancer, and I assumed it was normal pain from getting older. Since this past November ‘07, I started experiencing extreme knee pain, especially when walking up the stairs. I also suffered from chronic sinusitis and frequent infections. I was going from 5 days to one week between finishing antibiotics to being put on another dose to help with my sinus infections.
Avatar f tn My doctor instructed me to wear braces on my wrists, even when asleep, because people often push their hands up under their pillows or lean on them while sleeping and this puts stress on the joint. When this happens, the wrist can be painful upon waking. I recommend having it checked by a doctor, especially if the pain lingers or gets worse.

2112219 tn?1334286044 Considering your symptoms of point tenderness and pain on opening the mouth, your symptoms could be due to temporomandibular (TMJ) joint arthritis. This is the jaw joint and inflammation of this joint can cause pain on opening the mouth and tenderness on palpating behind the ear. As you have had a recent throat infection, it could also be a lymph node enlargement. Please consult a dentist for assessment. He may even ask for blood test and an X ray.

Avatar n tn I too experience pain in my "kidney are" upon waking. Throughout the week I get minimal sleep; five hours maximum, and waking with NO pain, but when the weekend comes, and I am sleeping more than that is when I experience this horrible pain. So, I know for a fact that the pain is directly related to sleep (for me). I first went to my MD, and was told that it is muskuloskeletal, and that Motrin should help. No dice.
Avatar m tn I am a 48 year old female. I have a problem with total boby tingling upon waking, even my head and face, sometimes feeling like I have been breathing too shallow. This has been happening for about one yr. I occassionally have tingling throughtout the day in my legs, arms, and scalp. I spoke to my pcp about this problem and he said "That doesn't make since" and changed the subject. When sleeping I periodically wake with an arm, leg, or my side tingling.
