659608 tn?1318289366 I have been reading that women may have that kind of symptom before a heart attack. I had Rheumatic fever as a young child, and have never been told I had any heart damage. I have heart attacks in my family, my brother has had several bypass surgeries, and has a difibullar in place, and his heart is working at 20%. Is there a possibility this could be heart related, or is there some other cause? I would appreciate comments from anyone who has had this or knows someone who has.

Avatar f tn jaw pain has nothing to do with gallbladder,,,heart issues caould cause the center epigastric pain,,,and the jaw pain.
Avatar n tn The symptoms you describe are typical for a heart attack in a woman. Woman will normally feel pain n the back rather the chest and mostly radiating to the jaw. The fact that it only lasted 15 mins is a good sign, but given the nature of your pain along with the timing, 4 am to 9 am is the most common time for a heart attack, I would be getting checked out.
Avatar f tn I am mostly worried because of the jaw pain that is associated with the squeezing in my chest. Do you have any ideas on what this might be?
Avatar f tn Sierra343, I think you need to go to the emergency room. Symptoms of a heart attack CAN be shortness of breath and jaw pain!! Please go to the ER and get checked out!!
Avatar n tn So after dealing with a dentist induced TMJ and tooth pain for 2 months I visited the emergency room. Since Jaw pain is part of the TMJ and also may indicate a heart attack is brewing I wanted to play it safe. ER Doc. Said he believed it's all dental related until my blood work came with showing Troponin at .26 so I was admitted... X-ray, ekg, echo, CT Scan, BP, heart rate and blood work was all normal... after 4 days in Cardiologist basically told me he has nothing and discharged me.
Avatar n tn ve even had a mild heart attack, chest pain radiating from the chest to the lower jaw is a symptom of a heart attack, if you have any dizziness or feeling sick then see a doc straight away
370181 tn?1595629445 Thanks so much for your response, selma. I didn't think about the vagus nerve being a possibility and I'd never heard of the condition you called "silent reflux." I was just incredibly relieved you didn't immediately say "run to your cardiologst as it might be a heart attack!" That is what I was fearing someone would say.
Avatar m tn It usually lasts a few minutes and then goes away. I dont have any other symptoms other than sharp chest pain, pain in my jaw, and left arm. What could this be? Is it possible to have a heart attack at 25?
Avatar f tn Sometimes I have body aches that make me feel like I have the flu. I also have a dull pain in my left jaw and sometimes pain radiating down my neck. My doctor has run several tests including thyroid function, glucose, and some neurological studies. Everything comes back perfect, but I still feel bad. Could this be a heart condition? Should I be more pro-active by seeking out a cardiologist on my own? There is a lot of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease in my family.
Avatar f tn 35 year old female and have heart palpitations where it skips..also left jaw and shoulder pain with stomach burning that all started 2 years ago when almost passed out had terrible chest pain and tachycardia but the er said it was not a heart attack...since I've had 3 stress echos...2 30 day event monitor...a nuclear stress test and 2 ct scans plus my gallbladder removed still having these symptoms..
Avatar f tn While your young age, lack of co-morbidities associated with heart attack, and atypical symptoms are reassuring, given the potential other diagnoses you should be seen by a doctor to make sure nothing more serious is wrong. If you develop a change in your symptoms you should call 911, or go to the emergency department to be more fully evaluated. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn I have been getting rapid heart beats, along with chest pain, and at times trouble breathing and tightness in my chest. Should I go to the hospital?
Avatar f tn t tooth pain and it was deep, not surface pain. Shortly after the jaw pain started, within about 30min, the pain started to spread up behind my left ear, down the left side of my neck, and into the top of my left shoulder. I then recalled an article I read about common heart attack symptoms in women that are often overlooked (jaw, neck, shoulder, arm, and back pain).
Avatar f tn I have heart murmur.I have pain on my chest, neck, lower jaw and back of the ribcage area.pain on the chest hurts more when I take a deep breath. Are these a sign of a heart problem?
Avatar f tn "Jaw" pain can be a symptom of a heart attack in women, but your pain is constant and under your chin which isn't the jaw. Symptoms of a heart attack in women is jaw pain, nausea, severe fatigue and sweating, but we can also have chest pain, arm pain and numbness. Have you had heart problems in the past? If this really concerns you then it's best to go to the ER.
Avatar m tn Me being a pretty cautious dude, I searched the internet to try and solve my problems. But when I saw that it was a heart attack symptom my heart sank and I had a panic attack and felt like I was going to die. After I calmed myself down and walked home and told my mum about it. She said that i should I should wait a few days until I go to the doctor. During these days I developed very very minor chest pains, that was when I knew I needed to see a doctor.
Avatar f tn And even your heart can be involved with lower jaw pain. Here is an article to read. But the one that would concern me to immediately rule out is a cardiovascular reason. Women in particular can have lower left jaw pain during a heart attack. Now, I know this isn't presenting exactly that way for you but still is worth checking out. If you have any other symptoms with it like shortness of breath or chest discomfort, please go to the ER.
Avatar n tn I have been under a lot of stress, no question there. About a week ago out of nowhere and not having eaten I suddenly felt like I had a huge lump of something in my throat, felt lightheaded and odd and tingly and my jawbone started hurting like an absessed tooth....in a few minutes it started subsiding and after only another few minutes all was gone.
Avatar n tn Please act on it. Definitely heart problems need to be ruled out as along with carotid and jaw pain you also have fatigue and angina. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
