This is day 3 of suffering really bad sinus pain in the left side of my face I've tried sudafed, panadol, saline nasal spray,Vicks inhaler, steam from hot showers, controlled breathing and now I'm at a loss as to what else to try,I'm flying in 3 days and don't want to be suffering the way I am and have cabin pressure too. The pain is so bad I'm struggling to eat (pressure affecting my jaw) and sleep (due to having to blow my nose so frequently) I'm 35 weeks today.
I'm a 39 year old female. I have been through a lot of surgeries and pain. but at least then I knew what was going on. I have been suffering from some kind of spasms of my facial muscles or tissue. It hurts very bad. I draws my up to one side, one eye will get blurred, and closed more than the other, there is tightening all the way down into the front of my neck and inside my mouth. My teeth throb, my gums swell. the wierd thing is that it changes sides or is both sides at one time.
There are a lot of explanations for this i know i mainly just need some reassurance, i do have braces and the orthodontist is straightening my jaw at the moment with elastics. My doctor says it is sinus pressure which im sure it is, but even with sinus meds it doesn't seem to go away. My vision is also weird, it is not blurry, just unfocused.
For about a month now I have been having chronic neck pain and extreme upper jaw pain. The pain is also in my nose. It feels like pressure like when you have a sinus infection. I wake up in the morning with drainage in my throat then it goes away as the day proceeds. I have been to the doctor too many times. They did a mri on my head and everything was normal they also did a CT scan on my face and that was also normal.
There are many cases where individuals that suffering from sinus congestion also experience pressure in the ear, with earaches and even jaw pain. The earaches you are having may be an infection in the ear due to blocked sinuses. Other causes of aw pain can be due to infection of salivary gland like parotitis, infected foci, osteoporosis related jaw disarticulation or fracture.
It was occasional problems such as mild sinus pain/pressure and headache with mild eye strain. Each year it has gotten worse. Over the course of the past 5 years I have seen multiple doctors across different specialites: Ears, Nose & Throat, Neurologist, Allergist, and my Intern. I have had MRI's and CT scans. This year has been the worst so far. I have already gotten 2 sinus infections.
I am having all of these symptoms - started with the neck pain, then the eye pain, then severe migraine headaches, and now I have jaw pain. My husband thinks I am a hypocondriac! And the migraine pain I swear started in my thigh one night showed up in the side of my chest the next night and then the back of my head!
No it is sun and the pain is only bad if I push directly don on that tooth--HOWEVER---my entire jaw hurts on that side now, I have pressure in my sinus on that side and i think I feel a bit of a lump (which is sensitive to pressure) on the bottom of my jaw directly under that tooth. I will go back in the morning but to get a second opinion will take a few days and a couple hundred mile round trip. Any thoughts? I am tired of the pain and even more tired of the pain medicine.
I was having head aches, neck/head aches, jaw pain, ear pain, and stabbing pains behind the eyes. Been on antibiotic, seemed to help alot, my eyes seemend like they were hazy even. Going to ENT doctor in early June. Oh by the way, I also had facial tingling for 6 years, this is why I had MRI done, everything was normal except for sinuses. Hope this helps. Take care.
I have been getting a ton of congestion in my sinuses and I find the extra pressure causes mouth pain. My friend is a dental hygienist and says its very common to feel mouth and jaw pain when your sinuses are acting up. Especially if you have a sinus infection.
The second surgery was to remove excess scarring that was causing pain. Since these operations I have had severe headaches behind my left eye and above my jaw (in the sinus cavity area). I sometimes have blurred vision out of the left eye and it feels like there is pressure in there. The last surgery was in May of 07. Is it normal to still be having all this pain. I have had numerous CT scans, 2 MRI's 1 MRA and they can't find anything wrong.
Does anyone know if sinus and neck pain are connected. I havs chronic sinus, especially with all the pollen and have recently began having pain in my neck, mostly on one side running up to the hairline.
When I closed my jaw, my teeth didn't fit comfortably, as if my jaw had shifted. There was more pressure on my right side. Then, I noticed one night that I was grinding my teeth in my sleep. Not sure if this has reoccurred. Since then, I've been waking up with a dull head ache, and the feeling of misalignment has been constantly bothering me. I would clench my teeth during the day.
I have pain inside both ears with vague dizziness, sinus headache and pressure. It hurts when I touch behind my ears. I am tired of my ears constantly hurting...been to pcp she cannot see anything in them. She did see infection in nose and gave me antibiotic...did not work. I believe i have lost some of my hearing capability.

This can make sinus pressure worse and may be the reason that your sinus pressure gets worse when the weather is damp or really humid. The most common cause of sinusitis is an infection, especially when the mucus is green. Sinus infections can be difficult to treat since they respond slowly. When a bacterial infection is the cause you may need to take an antibiotic for at least 3 weeks.
The pressure will sometimes start in the temple area, move along the right jaw line to the cheek bone. Just on the right side. Left side is fine - which is funny because the left side is where my ear infection was, not the right... There is not always alot of pain - just a slight headache and pressure. Anyway, just frustrated of having a slight headache and pressure on the right side of my face for a week and a half and tired of the nausea and off balance feeling.
right arm weakness, sore shoulder blades., and sinus pressure without sinus problem,s extreme fatigue. Can anyone give me a clue?
