Jaw pain panic attack

Common Questions and Answers about Jaw pain panic attack

jaw-pain

Avatar f tn IT does sound like a panic attack. It could be from several reasons. STress, fatigue, insomnia, your thyroid levels way off, also, you could be having adrenal gland problems. I know mine started when my adrenal glands were so weak, and also when I had an episode of med induced hyperT. It is horrible, and no one can understand, unless they've had one. Be good to yourself today and rest as much as possible. Watch funny movies, and laughter is good for the adrenals.
Avatar n tn I am a 53 yr old female. I have been getting odd symptoms. Pain that starts along my jaw bone and spreads quickly to my chest (Like a really bad case of heartburn) where I have trouble taking deep breaths without pain. I break out in a sweat and feel panicy. It only lasts for a short time but it is starting to worry me. I also have occasional left upper arm pain. Does this sound like heart attack symptoms?
Avatar m tn But when I saw that it was a heart attack symptom my heart sank and I had a panic attack and felt like I was going to die. After I calmed myself down and walked home and told my mum about it. She said that i should I should wait a few days until I go to the doctor. During these days I developed very very minor chest pains, that was when I knew I needed to see a doctor. The doctor did a ECG and a blood test on me the next day and all was fine. this helped me relax.
Avatar m tn I grind my teeth at night, have sinus problems in the winter, wear old glasses that don't fit much anymore and rest on my cheekbone, and have lots of anxiety. On Saturday, I had a small panic attack, most of it induced by way to much coffee (I had a date later that night and didn't want to be tired!). I breathed through the panic attack, but the mix of anxiety and coffee made me want to grind my teeth while I was awake!
1224562 tn?1274475633 It could be a panic attack, but pain in the jaw especially for a woman is also a sign of a heart attack. Shortness of breath is also a sign of heart attack. Not trying to scare you, just be aware and maybe give your dr a call in the morning. If you start to feel worse or have any other symptoms that seem out of the ordinary or life threatening please go to the ER. God Bless!
Avatar n tn It could be a panic attack. Are you having any chest pain, pain by a shoulder blade, in your jaw, or down your left arm that can't have been brought on by anything else?
Avatar n tn If you are having chest pain that goes to the shoulders, you should be evaluated by a doctor. These symptoms could be a sign that you are having a heart attack or angina (a pre-heart attack). The pain from this is usually a heaviness in the chest, sometimes associated with shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, and /or sweating. It can spread to the shoulders, the jaw, or the left arm.
Avatar f tn I smoked a couple of cigarettes and suddenly got a tingling feeling in arms which quickly turned to pain radiating to my neck and jaw with a tight feeling in chest. I experienced anxiousness and unable to be still and a heavy amount anxiety. Also my jaw and feet were clenching. I got really nervous and started to do physical activity and all the symptoms went away. What could this be?
Avatar f tn Generally, chest pain with a panic attack is short, quick, stabbing type pains that can be anywhere in your chest. Their never seems to be rhyme or reason to the chest pains, and they often are in different places. With a heart attack, chest pains are usually described as more of a fullness, or pressure on the chest. It may radiate to other areas such as the neck, jaw, arm (particularly the left), or even the back.
Avatar f tn In June 08 I suffered with my first panic attack and since then nothing has been the same. I had heart palpatations on a daily basis and was terrified of doing anything. My symptoms have changed a lot over time, I suffer with this strange bubble feeling inside my head that prevents me from getting on woth my life, i was so worried about it that i had a CT scan, it came back normal. Avatar f tn with anxiety and panic attacks chest arm and other pain is normal i have had chest pain so bad put me on my *** just do like i do blood test and doc keeps a eye on things bad side we may never know when its real but most often just another attack they can get nasty just watch the norm ones there habits etc and you will have a better chance of catching a real heart attack but also remember they change around
Avatar f tn I have to agree with crambone, depending on your age, and general health, the jaw pain might very well be enough of an indicator coupled with your epigastric pain to initiate cardiac testing by your primary care physician.
2071688 tn?1337430558 Once i get that tight jaw feeling i know its either the ending of a panic attack or just one of the symptons as its going on. Try to relax your jaw, dont bite or talk to hard, fast..just let your jaw loose, like let it go and relax. Try not to chew on hard things like hard bread or candy. I usually have the tension when i wake up, i have to like massage my face and neck. Try breathing excersizes even.
Avatar n tn For several months straight I was working out 6 days a week and often taking pre-workout energy drinks. Two weeks ago i had a small panic attack after taking a product I had been taking for awhile and came down from it on my own with no medication. At first i didn't know what it was because I had never had one before. I took a week off of taking any supplements before i lifted then took a product and had a panic attack and ended up going to the hospital.
Avatar n tn I have been having sharp pains in the middle of my chest. The pain goed up into my jaw and ear. What can this be? I have high blood pressure.
Avatar m tn (had a jaw infection due to wisdom teeth removal and had to go to a hospital an hour and a half away for pain as the hospital near me did nothing but give me a benadryl shot.) luckily not experiencing chest pain, but some abdominal pain if that has any relevancy. I feel very helpless. should I try to go anyway in hopes they take me serious enough?
Avatar m tn I am told I am having a panic attack but I panic once it starts because of the terrible pain that hits my brain when the traveling pain ends. It lasts until the next day sometimes and sometimes it is gone in the morning. I can't believe my body would be attacking itself in this way. Everyone else feels panic first and I do not.

Avatar f tn I am a 29 year old female. I don't smoke (any more), I don't drink caffeine (any more), and I consume absolutely no artificial sweeteners or soda (any more). I've suffered off and on with panic and anxiety for about 9 years. This past October, I started having panic attacks again, and they all felt like a heart attack. I had random pains in my chest and under my sternum. My arms hurt and my jaw sometimes feels tight.

18334296 tn?1464079397 ve seen numerous doctors and even called ambulances because of panic attacks I guess. Every day, i get strong chest pain, upper back, jaw, neck and teeth pain, drowsiness, dizziness, pins and needles, shortness in breath and headaches. Apparently all of those above are a factor from sever anxiety and the pins and needles, shortness of breath and dizziness are from hyperventilating.
Avatar f tn What could cause chest pain that has the symptoms of a possible heart attack but isn't that? Ten years ago, when I was 38, I was teaching a class when I got excruciating, constricting chest pain. My left arm tingles, and my jaw had the same terrible pain and it felt "locked up." The "attack" lasted 5-10 minutes. My jaw hurt for days, and my chest and ribs felt sore, as well. When this happened, a coworker took my pulse and it wasn't even fast.
Avatar f tn Odd intense body aches and headaches that come and go within 1 minute or so. Lower jaw and upper neck tight on both sides. Oddly paranoid but not panic attack like (I know the difference) Something is just not right with me, I feel it. Major problem somewhere. All happening and progressing over a period of 3 days now. Aspirin daily for her attck fear and 25 mg toprol for b.p. possible poisoning ???? Heart attack??? Stroke???? Fighting this every wake moment especially at work.
Avatar f tn all that is common in a panic attack. idk about the burp thing. go to your gp. there can be something medically wrong that may be causing.your symptoms, rule thise possibilities out and if nothing is wrong medically then see a psychiatrist to find out whats really going on. theres a lot of help out there. many peoole wont understand unless theyve been thru it themselves. and thats ok. because there are many other who do.understand and will help you. best of luck.
