Avatar f tn I've been dealing with sinus issues for the past 3 months. I haven't been able to see an ENT due to Covid-19 until later this month. I was treated with 2 rounds of antibiotics after a sinus infection in Feb/March (maybe, or could have just been viral, I had a horrible virus in February). This has been unlike anything else I've experienced sinus wise, I've never had sinusitis other than a normal infection that goes away with antibiotics.

659608 tn?1318289366 I have recurring pain in my jaws, mainly the left side. I have been having it in the day and at night. It starts right at my ear, and extends down toward windpipe.Lately it is little sharp pains lasting just a few seconds, but really bothersome. I have been reading that women may have that kind of symptom before a heart attack. I had Rheumatic fever as a young child, and have never been told I had any heart damage.
Avatar f tn I have had jaw pain for many days, only on one side, now i have ear and throat pain on the same side, and my jaw hurts so bad, like I had been punched (or so I assume) really har din the jaw. It hurts to eat, and I have pain in my ear and a sore throat.....can anyone give me advise? Bad sinuses? Time to go the Dr?
Avatar f tn I had a severe sinus infection on one side of my face, which was fixed in sinus surgery. However, I also had severe swellin on the right side of my face which was still evident after the sinus surgery. As follow up work, I asked the doctor to look at any gland damage that may be a result of my previous jaw surgery, which may be causing the additional swelling in my cheek.
Avatar n tn I have exactly what is being didcussed under jaw pain tooth pain. I can't hardly stand the pain. A month ago it was on the other side of my jaw. Had it xrayed & got 2nd opinion. They said it could be a sinus infection. I can believe the pain can possibly be that bad. It left. Now I have exactly the same thing on the other side of my mouth. It is in the lower jaw/ bone/tooth. They said it normally is in the upper teeth. Has anyone got any answers?

Now there is another "bone piece" coming thru gum and I can not get to it to pull out myself, this whole thing is driving me crazy. Please Help. Advise is welcome. Avatar n tn How do I know if this is a sinus infection - which I am prone to getting - or possibly a tooth abcess (the pain is mostly centered over one of the molars)? It does not hurt any more when I bite down. What does increase the pain is if I lay down on my left side any amount of time, whether it be to rest or sleep. Help???
Avatar m tn After x- rays, probing, and visual inspection, the dentist made an occusal adjustment to a tooth (second from rear, bottom right side). One day later, the pain still persists. Also have sensitive scalp on right side and intermittent earache. What could be causing this?

Avatar n tn Can someone have a sinus infection but not have the soreness around the face? I get headaches (pressure) every so often around the left side of my head...every so often runny nose. I also notice that my left side of my neck, behind the ear, bottom base of the skull and down my neck hurts. soreness. When I move my neck to the right side, it's sore....can this also be a sign of a sinus infection? I'm tired of feeling this way.
Avatar n tn I then went through 5 days of Augmentin. There was no drainage and no change. I was also experiencing tooth and jaw pain. This mainly on the right side. I went back to the P.A, who put me on 7 days of Levaquin and ordered a sinus x-ray. The sinus x-ray came back negative. The tooth pain continued and even got worse. I then had a CT scan of my face which came back negative for any issues in my bones, clear for sinus issues. I then went to my dentist yesterday for an exam.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else had just one sided face pain with sinuses? My right side of my face ,right eye,jaw cheek ear and neck are driving me crazy........ENT says i need surgery.Im so scared.Im also going off some anxniety meds and wondering if thats casuing it.........
Avatar m tn It sounds as if you may have TMJ.Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome is hard to diagnose and will cause excuriating pain. Here are just some of the symptoms... Pain in the facial muscles and jaw joints may radiate to the neck or shoulders. Joints may be overstretched. You may experience muscle spasms from TMJ syndrome. You may feel pain every time you talk, chew, or yawn. Pain usually appears in the joint itself, in front of the ear, but it may move elsewhere in the skull, face, or jaw.
Avatar m tn I have had a nagging pain in the back of my mouth for almost 3 months now. The pain is located in the hard palate area above my molars on the right side. Dental X-rays have revealed that nothing is wrong. My wisdom teeth are still intact, but 3 dentists and 2 oral surgeons have assured me that they do not need to come out and would not be causing the pain. The pain is like a sharp pressure in that area of my mouth. Almost feels like a sinus infection in that palate/gum region.
Avatar f tn If someone cannot perform then find someone that can I think many of you might want to find a dental CAVITATION expert, this is different then a regular dentist , They located hidden jaw bone infection that are leaking infection into your system. Read , Root canal cover up there is also a large support group on line to help you. Here a just a couple of other ideas, endocrinologist to make sure that your glands or hormonal .

Avatar f tn On a daily basis I get pulsing and sharp pain. The top of my head on my right side is really, really sensitive to the touch and it goes all the way down to my face. Around my cheek bone and jaw area. I'm not sure what this is but any help I can get would really be appreciated. Thank you in advance for taking time to respond to my question.
Avatar n tn Upset stomach---barely able to eat---some pain, sinuses severely clogged on one side, burning saliva getting even worse. Fever persists. I've lost all confidence in dentist here (says he has never seen anything like this---cannot even guess what is going on) Any suggestion I could point another dentist too would be most appreciated------If no improvement I will head to hospital tomorrow---afraid f infection spreading elsewhere.
Avatar f tn This sounds like the pain from a severe sinus infection as well. A sinus infection can be VERY painful, and the areas you are describing are all part of the sinus tract. I would see and ENT as soon as possible.
Avatar m tn s been about a month now since this whole thing started, and there are many factors that I think may be relevant. First off, the pain starts on my right side just where the head meets the neck, and radiates forward. I had a sinus infection that I was on antibiotics for - it was focused behind my eyes. I missed a day but finished the last three pills after that - I woke up out of nowhere with a headache radiating from that area, but all the way across the back (not on only one side).
Avatar f tn I assumed I had an abscess but an xray revealed the sinus in my lower jaw was blocked due to infection. It is painful and theres a dull ache all the time.
Avatar n tn AT THE END OF APRIL, THE PAIN RETURNED. MY ORAL SURGEON CHECKED ME AGAIN, AS DID MY REGULAR DENTIST. IN ADDITION TO THE JAW PAIN, I WAS HAVING EAR PAIN, AND THE GUM AREA (WHERE THE TOOTH WAS) WAS VERY SORE. THE ORAL SURGEON REFERRED ME TO A GUM SPECIALIST WHO SAID MY GUM LOOKED OK, BUT I MIGHT NEED AN INPLANT. THE EAR PAIN CONTINUED, SO I WAS SENT TO AN ENT DOCTOR WHO SAID MY EAR LOOKED FINE.
Avatar n tn You may have a sinus infection but judging from your description, it sounds like you may be getting a toothache possibly. Are there any other symptoms such as cold sensitivity, biting pain or anything else besides just the radiating pain from that area? You may have what we call an irreversible pulpitis in which the pulp of the tooth is dying.
Avatar n tn I do have TMJ but right now I have a sinus infection and now that combined with the everyday facial pain is really making me go crazy.
