Avatar f tn Unexplained pain in the chest, ribs, shoulders, neck, and jaw are all on the symptom list for Lyme Disease. A classic sign of Lyme is that strange symptoms come and go or wax and wane, and there doesn't seem to be a good explanation for it. This document is intended for doctors, but it gives a great overview and a symptom list that might be useful for you to read to see if it fits. http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.
Avatar m tn Hi, Severe joint pains, Generalized swelling, Lymphadenopathy, Muscle pain , Abdominal pain and Diarrhea closely relate to Whipple’s disease. It is a rare systemic illness caused by the bacterium Tropheryma whippelii. Main symptoms are arthritis, weight loss, diarrhea, lymphadenopathy and generalised swelling. Diagnosis can be confirmed by small-bowel biopsy and endoscopy. Please consult a gastroenterologist for the diagnosis and management. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar n tn I have recently started having random joint pain, shoulder, wrist, hand, knee and have found that resting the joint in a splint or brace reallly helps. However, the latest pain is in my jaw - this happened last night. Anybody else had this?
Avatar f tn I have had fibromyalgia for at least 11 years. I have had 9 root canals and 5 absesses. 5 extrations and a bone graft and so far one inplant, which they put into my sinuses and has to come out. Not to mention the 1,000s of dollars I have spent on all this work to find out it was all the wrong treatment for someone with lyme disease. Which is the cause of my "fibromyalgia syndrome." My teeth and cranial facial pain are unbelievable and almost impossible to stand at times.

Avatar m tn This has been drug out for a month now and she has been in a lot of pain. Jaw pain, joint pain, aches, cramps, shortness of breath etc. The doctor told her its epstein bar and there is no treatment and it should go away in a few months. She believes that the symptoms are those of lyme disease. From my research epstein bar symptoms are not as severe. She has trouble sleeping and has taken a lot of time off of work because she is always exhausted.
Avatar f tn Hey, unfortunatly FMS is something that cannot be diagnosed that easily, its a process of elimination, so get them to test for EVERYTHING before they try & use FMS as a DX, it is a shame that you're having all these symptoms, just because it isn't Celiac doesn't mean that your body likes wheat, my boss has menieres & i got him to give up wheat as i'd read it on here & it has really helped!! Most supermarkets sell wheat & gluten free stuff! Its worth a go!
Avatar m tn I have fallen ill with Aseptic menigitis in May of 2014 with a spinal tap, which was suspected lyme disease due to the seasons by my infectious disease guy. I first felt it in my lmyph nodes as a sore throat, then couldn't move and I was fatigued, vision was blurred, woke up after a couple days with pain behind my eyes and fever all over my body. I was rolled off to the hospital.
Avatar f tn Could I have a pinched nerve from compensation of my jaw pain and ear pain or could this be Lyme. I have not noticed a bite or a rash. Just want to feel better. What are your thoughts.
Avatar f tn I have chest pain, sternum pain, rib pain, and right above my breast. My jaw hurts, my neck hurts. I have ONE cold hand and ONE cold foot. Both on the right side. No rashes, no sores...... Wat else? Ocassional eye pain like if I move my eye, something behind it is going to pop. I'm getting slight headaches. I had a blood test done with my PCP, she referred me to a rheumatologist but that appt. isn't until February. So, I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of what it may be.

Avatar n tn On January 1st I felt a tender/painful lymph node under my jaw, on the left side. The following day I discovered more swollen (but not painful) lymph nodes in my neck/jaw region. The lymph node was painful for 2 days. On January 5th I discovered swollen lymph nodes in my armpits. One lymph node, on the left side, was painful. The pain went away in 2 days as well, but they're still swollen like the ones in my neck/jaw.
Avatar f tn Because only the right side of my neck and head (such as pressure in my right temple, pain in right side of jaw) have become affected during this whole Lyme thing. I was in physical therapy, chiropractor visits, acupuncture, pain management for 7 months after the accident. But then, why after a whole year would I start getting dizzy? Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm desperate.
Avatar n tn could be lyme disease. Testing is completely unreliable for lyme, especially in the spinal fluid. Even if you have severe, neuro lyme the chance of it showing in spinal fluid is something like 10-20%. You might want to see a lyme-literate medical doctor for an evaluation. Most conventional doctors do not know much about lyme disease. The first screening test for lyme is the ELISA which is around 30% reliable.
Avatar m tn I have been having sudden and severe abdominal pain, some diarrhea, shoulder pain, Mussle pain in my back, as well as chest mussle pain, pain on my heels, etc. I have had a few migranes, nausea, and feelings of being disoriented, or choppy or slurred speech at times.. I described it to a friend as almost like I am coming out of annestetic. I also had a lump on my back, as well as a clump of mussles that formed a knot rather quickly.. I have begun itching.
1132574 tn?1271672466 I did see an LLMD for her opinion. I did Lyme disease testing thru Igenex. Awaiting results... Should be here in another 2.5 weeks. Uggh! The Lyme doc seemed to think Lyme is a possibility. She even gave me info on a special diet I'd need to follow along with taking antiobitoics if I'm Dx'd with Lyme. Another piece of the puzzle is that I was in Nantucket in Sept. which I learned from the Lyme doc is a hot spot for ticks.
Avatar f tn so bands 41 came up positive but that way the only band that did, so thy told me my Lyme Disease test was negative, and that I did not have Lyme Disease. Then I had another Lyme panel ran and it was a 0.98 liv with a reference interval of 0.00-1.20 so it was a negative test. So basically all of the health test that I ha had have came up negative, and I was diagnosed with anxiety. I went to various doctors and the last doctor I saw was my primary care physician and he gave me lexapro.
Avatar m tn It first started with a headache and one swollen lymph node on the back of my head, then it slowly progressed to neck pain and upper back pain pain in the muscles. this was accompanied by swollen lymph nodes in my neck and on the back of my head. I also have fatigue. since then I had an mri and blood tests. to which all came back negative. supposedly there was nothing wrong with me and I was diagnosed with anxiety.
