However, I started getting terrible migraines -- it lasted about four days before I went to the ER. The pain is located at my temples and radiates down to jaw and there is a numbness sensation. Also, I have left body pain mostly. My chest, my arms, my back, everything ache. I was told that I had a kidney infection via urinalysis and they gave me fluids / medicine. I felt a little better for a day, but the last day of medicine I relapsed and feel even worse now.

I don't want to write a book, but here are a list of my symptoms below. My grandmother has MS and Lupus and my 4 yr old is complaining of joint pain, low grade fevers, and rashes. I will wait and see what the labs say, but I am optimistic that after 4 yrs I will finally get a dx bad or not, I just want to know.
My pain decreased in intensity, but I continue having pain. In other side, I continue to be very confused I want to know if I really have lupus, because there are some doctors that said I don't have it and other said yes. The last one said I have lupus in low intensity. Best regards!!!
Often times when PR is misdiagnosed the patient may have Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus SLE. Especially with Lupus TMJ and jaw pain are definitely involved. Do get the the pains when you breathe checked out as that could be a result of lung or heart involvement.

I chew gum often to help me make saliva but it aggrivates my TMJ (or Lupus in my jaw maybe), so I can't chew it ALL the time. I can't tell my Lupus from my Fibro. I just hurt all over.

Hi Carol, did you find out what was going on with the rib pain? I sometimes get these when I am having a bad lupus flare. I thought it had something to do w/ my ballooned out kidney. But I believe the ribs can become inflammed and cause this pain. It is extremely painful when it happens. The sun exposure would just cause an inflammatory response. (that is if you indeed have lupus). This would result in an extremely elevated ANA. What was your ANA amount and pattern?
Because like I said, my joints HURT so bad for two weeks, and now I have hardly no bone or joint pain. OR will my joint pain come back if it is lupus or another autoimmune disease? Q. Karajo knows her stuff and will likely post the diagnostic criteria for lupus. I do know that light sensitivity occurs with both lyme and lupus. If you want to learn more about lyme come on over to the lyme board... But just a note about the disease (Lyme is my current diagnosis actually) many people do not see a rash nor have flu like symptoms with it, so lacking those symptoms does not mean it can not be Lyme.
I suffer from non swollen joint pain, lower pack and neck pain, inflammatory chest pain, non itching rash across my chest that gets more pronounced in the sun and when I am feeling bad, my joints pop and crunch (almost all of them), chronic fatigue, dry mouth and dry eyes, frequent and various infections (UTIs, Sinus, Ear, BVD ect), swollen glands, numbness in the tips of my toes, hammertoes and I have a red/purple ring on my left wrist (that no one has been able to tell me what it is - have h
Chest pain, pain in my ribs, neck and jaw pain, pain in my left elbow, pain in my left shoulder, pain in the center of my left chest and right chest, and constipation( now I always thought that once the gall bladder was gone that you did not have that problem). So another EKG (4 so far in total) has showed up perfect. Another round of blood work ( have not gotten results yet ). and a Stress test scheduled for Nov. 5th.
I have had chest pain with breathing also off and on (when my other pain is high). My symptoms appear very lupus like and I have had complement C4 drop very low from time to time. I have gone to 3 different rheumatologist over the years and they all have spoke of lupus but not diagnosed because I am ANA negative. They say I have 'lupus like symptoms'. I will be meeting with an endocrinologist in a few weeks to see what is going on with the thyroid.
About a month ago, I had a sudden red "lesion" (for lack of better term) right below my color bone. It was about 1mm and pinkish. It looked like an allergic reaction. Then everyday after that, I notice a few more scattered on my abdominal area and and one on my lower back. These ones were the same color as my skin. These lesions only itched when I touched them and they never hurt. All these lesions came right after an ezcema came on my back. I've had excema before.
It makes me wonder if you have Sjogren's Syndrome, which will give you Lupus symptoms, and also destroy your gums and jaw. Have the dentist or rheumatologist test you for that as well. Heck, all your symptoms may be just from some virus in that bump!!! That's very possible!
Five years ago I had an autoimmune disease strike me down, it started out suddenly in my muscles in my upper back then it progressed into my shoulders, neck jaw, then down my back into my hips and legs, it also drastically altered my behavior, I was doing things that I would never consider now, or ever.

My thumb knuckles are starting to pop out to the side. I have a bad back (no cushion between 4 and 5 + more) and have experienced pain like no other. A Baker's Cyst also popped up last month at an also bad knee (torn ligaments never corrected).

I also have ucerative colitis and have had joint problems in my fingers and jaw. I regularly go to rhumatology outpatients for this - I've had positive ANA results in the past but more recently this has been negative. I take hydroxychloroquine which seems to really help the joint probs and things are generally settled. Lupus has been mentioned but I haven't been diagnosed. My question is about the symptoms I'm currently experiencing.
* Heart Palpitations and periodic chest pain * Glands always swollen for no apparent reason and severe ear and jaw pain * Severe allergies * Lack of energy- usually about 20 days out of the month or more (sometimes I'm VERY immobile!) * Horrible memory loss (also from lack of concentration- no matter how hard I try!) * Confusion, which can be severe! (spending hours on making one simple decision!) * Low blood pressure since I can remember * Severe sensitivity to the sun!!

I have chest pain, sternum pain, rib pain, and right above my breast. My jaw hurts, my neck hurts. I have ONE cold hand and ONE cold foot. Both on the right side. No rashes, no sores...... Wat else? Ocassional eye pain like if I move my eye, something behind it is going to pop. I'm getting slight headaches. I had a blood test done with my PCP, she referred me to a rheumatologist but that appt. isn't until February. So, I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of what it may be.
Mild weight gain even while dieting Extreme fatigue/napping GERD/Heartburn/chest pain Mostly constipation mixed with diarrhea Depression/anxiety/forgetfulness/brain fog Abdomen swells for no apparent reason Neck/jaw pain/swelling/pressure Scratchy voice Migraines, dizziness and back of neck/head pain Very cold feet and hands and sometimes a feeling like ants are biting my feet Endometriosis (2 years ago – cured after one year of birth control) Irregular/heavy periods and menstrual-like cram
How can I know whether the pain I am experiencing in my elbows, knees, ankles, jaw, neck is truly joint pain vs. parasthesias? The pain is there at rest and movement, there is no redness or swelling (just a feeling of warmth, though not literally to the touch), and there is nothing in particular that helps with the pain. It is very random. How can I tell if this is true joint pain/arthralgias vs. parasthesias?
