1166205 tn?1263076852 Often times when PR is misdiagnosed the patient may have Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus SLE. Especially with Lupus TMJ and jaw pain are definitely involved. Do get the the pains when you breathe checked out as that could be a result of lung or heart involvement.
Avatar n tn I have SLE Lupus so I have had symptoms I believe are related to that, arthritis, joint pain, fatigue to name a few. I originally went to see the ENT because I had swelling from my upper jaw down the side of my neck. I was pretty sure it was a tooth that had been capped the previously year since that's when it all started but wanted to rule out anything else. She said it was probably lupus related and suggested I get physical therapy.
Avatar n tn I have been in sever pain for 5 weeks now. It started with shoulder pain that was so bad I hyperventilated and they called the ambulance. The ER doc said it was frozen shoulder. It is not, this pain has since traveled all over my body affecting all my joints. It is debilitatingly painful in my hands, fingers, elbow, shoulder, hip, knees, ankles, and even my jaw. It affects different sides of my body at any given time.
Avatar n tn How can I know whether the pain I am experiencing in my elbows, knees, ankles, jaw, neck is truly joint pain vs. parasthesias? The pain is there at rest and movement, there is no redness or swelling (just a feeling of warmth, though not literally to the touch), and there is nothing in particular that helps with the pain. It is very random. How can I tell if this is true joint pain/arthralgias vs. parasthesias?
Avatar f tn All the symptoms you mention - eye movement pain, muscle pain, headache, jaw pain, rash and urinary incontinence are all symptoms of a lupus flare up. Of course, I'm sure they're symptoms of other things too, or could be a variety of things that have all come together at the same time but aren't really related.
Avatar f tn I noticed you are on both this site and the lupus site. It makes me wonder if you have Sjogren's Syndrome, which will give you Lupus symptoms, and also destroy your gums and jaw. Have the dentist or rheumatologist test you for that as well. Heck, all your symptoms may be just from some virus in that bump!!! That's very possible!
Avatar f tn I forgot to add, when pain is in chest it shoot up side of neck into back jaw,ear and head, but think it maybe reaction to pain. If you ever had a terrible painful abcess tooth, thats the best way to describe, but its in my torso.
Avatar m tn I'm a 32 year old MALE who is at his wits end. i think its best just to start with my symptoms and then i will follow up with tests i have done. ok I have a butterfly rash on my face that gets particularly bad when i sweat. today it actually started bleeding a little. I have the same rash across my knuckles on my hands. My hart rate typically stays around 120 t rest while my blood pressure is completely normal. I have problems when i stand up i sometimes start to pass out.
Avatar n tn Since October, I have had inner ear pain, neck and jaw pain, and sometimes shoulders and facial pain as well. I also get headaches and sore spots on my head at times.
Avatar f tn I am also getting especial tingling and occasional spasms around my jaw. I have no other symptoms. MRI last week negative, electrolytes fine, no B12 deficiency, kidney and liver function normal, blood pressure fine, do diabetes, no thyroid problems (all recent tests). Neurologist said its not a motor neuron disease or Bell's Palsy. Also don't have any pain, so Neuro doesn't think this is trigeminal neuralgia, and that would explain the occasional traveling paresthesia.
Avatar m tn i am an 18 year old male and in the summer of 2007 i noticed that i had stiffness in my back and neck and with the stiffness there was severe pain. i also noticed that my back and neck crack alot. i went to my doctor and got xrays done on my back and neck and he said he found nothing wrong. he did no other tests other than the x rays. over the last several months ive noticed pain and cracking in all of my joints, including fingers, toes, back , neck, ankles, wrists, hips , elbows and knees.
Avatar m tn I have been having sudden and severe abdominal pain, some diarrhea, shoulder pain, Mussle pain in my back, as well as chest mussle pain, pain on my heels, etc. I have had a few migranes, nausea, and feelings of being disoriented, or choppy or slurred speech at times.. I described it to a friend as almost like I am coming out of annestetic. I also had a lump on my back, as well as a clump of mussles that formed a knot rather quickly.. I have begun itching.

Avatar f tn At this time, the lymph nodes on my neck swelled up, which I didn’t think too much of since those lymph nodes (the ones at the back of the jaw, under the ear) swell up any time I get even a minor cold. The major flu symptoms lasted maybe 2-3 days, and then dissipated, but instead of my lymph nodes receding, they swelled even more. I now have swollen lymph nodes in my neck (front, back, under jaw and under ears), groin, and armpits.
Avatar f tn ve had enlarged lymph nodes for 6 months, nodular thyroid, aching swelling joints, pain in right jaw and neck not including sore lymph nodes everywhere, pain in navel and surrounding, severe insomnia and vivid dreams, unable to cry because it causes physical pain like I am choking. All blood work is normal for everything (CBC, Thyroid, Lupus, Herpes, STD, Mono, etc...). What can this be, any suggestions?
1132574 tn?1271672466 Well, my brain MRI came back completely normal. Though last friday my neuro called saying I "might" have lupus. However, both my Lyme doc and primary looked at the lab report and also gave me a copy of my lab report where it says"findings inconsistent with lupus". My symptoms also do not sound much like Lupus. They both think he mis-read the report!!!! I did see an LLMD for her opinion. I did Lyme disease testing thru Igenex. Awaiting results... Should be here in another 2.

Avatar n tn Hi, I had 3 wisdom teeth removed on 4/1. They were able to remove the teeth intact without cutting my gums or breaking the teeth. I know some swelling is normal, but I'm having slight pain on the glands under my ears. Is this normal? Mainly, the glands feel swollen, but I have no temperature and the clots are still in place. On one side, the clot looks black like it was blood and on the other side, the clot looks greyish. Just want to be sure nothing is wrong and this is normal.
Avatar f tn m noticing more and more that everything starts to feel numb when my legs or jaw gets really numb, and the pain in my legs are intense. I was told that they (the docs) thought it was neuropathy, but then my doctor said that the type of pain isn''t consistant with neuropathy. Also, at times they get really, really heavy like I can barely lift them to walk. Is there some kind of neurological disease that fits this profile?

Avatar n tn Symptoms include one sided headache pain in the temple and jaw that may be triggered by chewing. This condition can be diagnosed by a blood test called an ESR and a biopsy of the artery. If the ESR is normal, this diagnosis becomes unlikely. It is treatable with corticosteroids. I recommend continued follow up with your neurologist. If a vasculitis is suspected, evaluation by a rheumatologist may be indicated.

She also lost a lot of weight and no doctor can tell her what it is . She is trying so many treatments but nore are working. One thing is sure, it is not cancer or lupus . There are times when she can barely walk and the pain is always there.
