I have been wearing bite guard for last year and it got better but started hurting again this week really bad and having spasms in jaw and now my neck is killing me on the left side. Pain is going up the left side of neck and down left shoulder into arm. Have not had chance to go to doctor yet but am wondering if anyone with cervical disc problems has ever had it to affect temple and jaw area of face??? Am thinking maybe this isn't TMJ at all....
As long as i can remember i have had pain in the left side of my chest and get a cramp in the left side of my jaw. What is this and what type of doctor should i see, is it serious? Lately it has been more intense lasting all day usely, I exercise regularly. Im confused please help 31 year old male, 6'1 195 lbs and i smoke. I also recently was laid off and don't have insurance at the time is this something i can put off for a few months until my new inssurance kicks in?
My leg and foot now feel numb and stiff. I am beginning to feel the stiffness in my hand and shoulder. It is all on the left side. I have had all of the tests. Everything has come back positive. My nuerologist doesn't know what's wrong. My only surgeries have been a hysterectomy and a hear ablation.
I know my TMJ disorder causes problems with migraines, ear problems, as well as neck pain. This is also central to the left side of my head. I know my jaw is slightly uneven and my left side hangs a bit lower than the right, this probably causes strain and pain. I would see a dentist to check it out for you.

Left shoulder pain and chest can be cardiac related. Heart or "Cardiac" pain does not have to come in the commonly know "crushing left-sided chest pain." Cardiac pain can be shoulder, neck, jaw, arm, hand (EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT) or just show itself as extreme fatigue. You need to be evaluated asap.
3. what else could be causing the heart pain that i feel in left side of chest that radiates to left jaw and left arm and hand? is it possible for someone my age and test that i have had to have CAD, that causes my symptoms? thanks, also sometimes i feel a fluttering sensation in my chest that feels like my hearts not beating right and i get kinda weak and hot, i also CANNOT reproduce the chest pain by pressing on the area.
For the last month I have had nonstop numbness on the left side of my head. My left jaw, neck and armpit get very sore and I have tightness or pins and needles in my left arm at different times.
I get dizzy moments and night sweats some nights. I experience tinnitus in my right ear twice a day.
I have been to a few doctors and had an MRI or my head and neck, X-ray of my chest, EKG, blood testing, and still nothing.
I also have what looks like an enlarged artery in my left hand.
hi, i had infection in my left jaw a year ago without any decay so i had to change my cap of three back molars. now i have an infection in my right hand side jaw and there is a lymph node which you can feel it when touched. the pain was too much and and the dentist put me on an antibiotic for five days. he says the pain will go away in ten days. but i am worried about the lymph node will it actually dissolve?
During this last week I have had severe pain in my jaw on and off, and starting on one side of my face and then going to the other side the next day. Jaw is flexible, movable, does not lock. Major pressure from my cheeks to the jaw. My wife has had similar symptoms as well. The only reason i even mention this is during the last3 months I have had three injuries to fingers on my left hand.
Since July 2013 I have noticed swelling on the left side of my face. It is there every day but sometimes it is far worse. It is always swollen just along the top of my jaw/bottom of my cheek. I had thyroid cancer 5 years ago and had a complete thyroidectomy. 14 lymph nodes were removed and 3 had cancer. I was on levoxyl but was switched to synthroid when levoxyl was no longer available. I noticed the swelling around the time of the med change. My thyroid Dr. says there is no relation.
Now after two days of feeling okay, I was laying down and started having a pressure/ pain feeling in my chest on the left side, after me relaxing trying to let it pass for 10 minutes, my left forearm started feeling a little pain or numbness. An hour and thirty minutes lasted the feeling is still here in my forearm wrist and hand and I can't make a fist... any ideas?
One time the muscle spasm was so intense that it literally traveled up my back, thru my left neck side and pulled the left side of my face down. After that it developed into neck pain, front and back, and excrutiating arm pain frequently. I felt and now feel all the time that something is pulling my mouth down. It feels like my neck muscles and then my mid back pulling everything down. It is painful, embarrassing.
ve been having some pain in my jaw (not affiliated with a tooth) and today I noticed a swollen bump right on the jaw line on the right hand side in between the chin and the back part of the jaw near the ear. The pain has been throbbing and has radiated all along the right side of my face, primarily including the inner right ear, the right temple, and of course the right side of my jaw.
Feeling of a pulled muscle but I dont think that is what is because of other pain and discomfort that started as well. I have pain in my jaw (feel tense,tight, dull pain in sides of jaw), I have the pain sometimes dull sometimes a shooting like pain in my knees, elbows and then i have this pain that comes and goes in my left lower calf on the side. My shoulders achy, lower back, and forearms feel sore. Today is when all of this pain started to increase. It isnt tearful pain.
It it in certain spots on my left side of shoulder blade, back side of left arm, ball of shoulder, back side of fore arm side of left hand under thumb on palm side below pinky on palm side of hand and elbow.
I was not checked for ehlers-danlos. And I am not sure about the operation but I am trying to locate missing information on my procedure.. I know a shunt was put in.
