Avatar f tn I have been wearing bite guard for last year and it got better but started hurting again this week really bad and having spasms in jaw and now my neck is killing me on the left side. Pain is going up the left side of neck and down left shoulder into arm. Have not had chance to go to doctor yet but am wondering if anyone with cervical disc problems has ever had it to affect temple and jaw area of face??? Am thinking maybe this isn't TMJ at all....

Avatar f tn Here is my story in a nutshell. In 2005 I began have nerve pain and muscle spasms in my mid back. One time the muscle spasm was so intense that it literally traveled up my back, thru my left neck side and pulled the left side of my face down. After that it developed into neck pain, front and back, and excrutiating arm pain frequently. I felt and now feel all the time that something is pulling my mouth down. It feels like my neck muscles and then my mid back pulling everything down.
Avatar m tn It will worsen if I move my left arm around and I can also feel pain in my jaw. It usually lasts a few minutes and then goes away. I dont have any other symptoms other than sharp chest pain, pain in my jaw, and left arm. What could this be? Is it possible to have a heart attack at 25?
Avatar m tn I have pain in my left forearm and in my upper left jaw. I saw a cardiologist two weeks ago and my pcp 3 weeks ago. no symptoms like this. I assume if it was cardiac, I would have some sort of sob or chest pain, etc. could this pain be from the disc or from a pinched nerve caused by the bad disc?
7251241 tn?1389564212 For nearly two years now I have been suffering with constant pins and needles in my left arm, chest tightness, neck tightness, jaw pain and chest numbness. I have had 2 ecg's, 3 rays and bloods and nothing has shown. I have not had any heart attacks or no family history of this. I am 21, healthy and no previous experience of this. Can anyone give advice? I must add that I have a regular inflamed sternum.
Avatar f tn In additional to all of my other issues post baby, I am hav developed random shooting pain in my jaw. no chest or arm pain.....i went to my dentiist who thinks I am clenching...and apparently on the same side there is nerve damage to one of my teeth. could this be all it is?!? i am also getting panic attacks with post partum anxiety so am nervous this could all be my heart. i am a 29 year old healthy female, 2 babies....
Avatar n tn ve done that recently with my left arm and shoulder. The pain radiates up to my jaw, teeth and ear. Feels pretty rotten. But when I realized what I was doing (leaning on the left arm of the recliner while reading) and stopped, the pain went away in a few days. The fact that it's been going on for quite awhile, doesn't seem to be getting worse tells me it's probably not urgent. But only a doctor can diagnose this accurately.
Avatar m tn 3. what else could be causing the heart pain that i feel in left side of chest that radiates to left jaw and left arm and hand? is it possible for someone my age and test that i have had to have CAD, that causes my symptoms? thanks, also sometimes i feel a fluttering sensation in my chest that feels like my hearts not beating right and i get kinda weak and hot, i also CANNOT reproduce the chest pain by pressing on the area.
Avatar f tn Hi I have cervical fusions also and live in pain but my jaw never goes numb I do get the pins and needles in my arms however I would check out the Jaw pain with a Dr ASAP ......
Avatar f tn Extreme crushing chest pain.
Avatar n tn It can spread to the shoulders, the jaw, or the left arm. Another cause of chest pain that radiates to the shoulder blades could be a tear in the aorta, which is a medical emergency. It would be most safe if you were evaluated as soon as possible.
Avatar n tn I have chest pain that radiates into the left arm pit, thru to the back shoulder blade and sharply up to the left lower jaw in area of lower second bicuspid and first molar. It can also radiate into my left cheekbone. It can be mild,or severe, and not all signs together or in sequence and usually accompanies chest tightness/crushing and shortness of breath. Women can be very different from men in their signs, having only tiredness of a symptom of an impending cardiac event.Joan.
659608 tn?1318289366 I have recurring pain in my jaws, mainly the left side. I have been having it in the day and at night. It starts right at my ear, and extends down toward windpipe.Lately it is little sharp pains lasting just a few seconds, but really bothersome. I have been reading that women may have that kind of symptom before a heart attack. I had Rheumatic fever as a young child, and have never been told I had any heart damage.
Avatar n tn If you are really worried, its justifiable to go to an emergency department - e.g if the pain radiates to his jaw or down an arm, or if he gets short of breath. I am not a doctor, this is only my opinion, not medical advice.
Avatar f tn I started having some symptoms such as upper back pain and pain in my left arm at random places like the elbow, wrist, some of the fingers. Not constant pain, doesn't even last a couple of minutes, it's more fleeting aches I would say. They come and go, sporadically. Anyways, my doctor felt my upper back and said I have trigger points, which are basically knots in the muscle that can send referred pain to different areas of the body, including the arms.
Avatar m tn I still feel the pain in my left chest, it is sometimes kind of a sharp pain and mild pain, Iam also going through pain on my left hand and sometimes on my neck and jaw. I dont have problem in breating or sweating. Please let me know what could be the reason for the pain.
Avatar f tn But the one that would concern me to immediately rule out is a cardiovascular reason. Women in particular can have lower left jaw pain during a heart attack. Now, I know this isn't presenting exactly that way for you but still is worth checking out. If you have any other symptoms with it like shortness of breath or chest discomfort, please go to the ER. The one thing that I think is fairly common is nerve compression called Trigeminal neuralgia. This is a big reason we get jaw pain.
Avatar m tn hi there yes definitley sometimes its all down left arm up shoulder and into my jaw my arms in tingly its scary ive had ecg and 24 hr monitor got all clear from heart ive found keeping diary handy i write down my symptons each day so when i get them again i can look back and see was fine good luck
Avatar m tn I am a 26 year old male, 5'11 240 lbs. For the past 3 or 4 months I have been having intermittent left arm pain that tends to change in places where it hurts ranging from my shoulder all the way down to the tips of my fingers and anywhere in between in my arm. Some times it hurts all the way down my arm and sometimes I may just have one little spot on my arm or even finger that hurts by itself. My right arm has hurt occasionally but not very often at all.
Avatar m tn the pains that i experience in my left side of chest, between left nipple and center of chest, left arm, left jaw, left hand, all seems to be the same type of pain, I cannot reproduce the pain or any pain by pressing on the area, 4.so what could this indicate? 5. does that sound cardiac to you?
Avatar m tn I woke up yesterday with my left arm having a similar pain in it right above the elbow when I move it in certain ways. I read jaw pain and left arm pain is a "very serious" side effect of Geodon and you should seek medical attention immediately but I don't think this is the same thing as that with the way they just describe it as "jaw/left arm pain".
