Avatar f tn But the one that would concern me to immediately rule out is a cardiovascular reason. Women in particular can have lower left jaw pain during a heart attack. Now, I know this isn't presenting exactly that way for you but still is worth checking out. If you have any other symptoms with it like shortness of breath or chest discomfort, please go to the ER. The one thing that I think is fairly common is nerve compression called Trigeminal neuralgia. This is a big reason we get jaw pain.
1127040 tn?1289718662 Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions. The cartilage may have been injured.
Avatar m tn My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made. -I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur. - I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.

Avatar n tn When ever I feel more pain under my chest/heart burn kind of thing i have this mouth walls soreness and severe jaw pain both sides. Omeprozole is not at all working for my GERD. If I take antacid like Gaviscon it works. And i feel better. But after i stop the Gaviscon antacid again it comes back. Even if I jog in the morning my throat pains. When i asked the doctor about jaw pain they said it is related to dental issue. I consulted dentist he found nothing and said, there may be wisdom tooth.
Avatar f tn Hi Huma, Welcome to the Pain Management Forum of MedHelp. I am glad you found us. Mollyrae is correct. This pain should be addressed immediately. Left shoulder pain and chest can be cardiac related. Heart or "Cardiac" pain does not have to come in the commonly know "crushing left-sided chest pain." Cardiac pain can be shoulder, neck, jaw, arm, hand (EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT) or just show itself as extreme fatigue. You need to be evaluated asap.
659608 tn?1318289366 It is however more than possible that you could have an infection in your jaw, say, from an impacted or infected wisdom tooth. Tooth pain can often make the ear and neck hurt as well (just as an ear infection can make the teeth hurt...). There is also the possibility that there is nothing wrong with you dentally either and you are suffering from neuralgic pain.
Avatar m tn have had 3 episodes of pain in my jaw & across my chest for about 30 minutes, had a angiogram today & they found no blockages? Is there something else it could be?

389345 tn?1209322565 I just found out that I do have three leaky heart valves. Could these headaches be do to the jaw popping or the heart condition?
Avatar f tn Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. The condition can bring about stabbing, electric shock-like pain from just a light wind or a finger's glance of the cheek.TN usually develops after the age of 40.

7251241 tn?1389564212 For nearly two years now I have been suffering with constant pins and needles in my left arm, chest tightness, neck tightness, jaw pain and chest numbness. I have had 2 ecg's, 3 rays and bloods and nothing has shown. I have not had any heart attacks or no family history of this. I am 21, healthy and no previous experience of this. Can anyone give advice? I must add that I have a regular inflamed sternum.
Avatar f tn --- the pain you describe in your jaw could be myofascial pain --- that is very common in patients who have fibromyalgia. You can check it out on google.

Avatar f tn The only reason why I am concerned is because I have both chest and jaw pain and those are heart attack symptoms. I also have pain in both my arms. A couple days agobefore I went to the doctors I had sweating, pressure in chest, and trouble breathing Is that why the EKG came back normal because those symptoms were gone at the time?
Avatar n tn I hadn't eaten anything and it's not really happened again with the lump in throat and pain in jaw. The only thing I notice when I eat is I always feel full and "heavy" in the area center below my breasts. Apparently the drinking water issue is likely due to the fact that I don't usually and when I do I drink as much as I can to get it over with and that depletes electrolytes.
Avatar n tn I have been having sharp pains in the middle of my chest. The pain goed up into my jaw and ear. What can this be? I have high blood pressure.
Avatar f tn My sore throat went away but the lump is still there. Sometimes I have pain in my throat near the lump but it only lasts a second and then goes away. It's on the right side of my face, nothing on the left. Should I be alarms or does it just sound like swollen lymph node?? Help!!
Avatar n tn When people refer to jaw pain and heart attack where on the jaw is this referring to. Is it lower jaw or up near the cheek on the upper jaw. Is the pain intense or throbbing.
Avatar f tn I actually beleieve I was menstruating when he took my blood. As for the chest pain, when I reach across my chest with my left arm it brings on the pain. I also get pain in my jaw then. I'm not getting any shortness of breath on exertion. Do you think it is likely to be heart related?
Avatar m tn She was out shopping this morning and encountered her worst chest pains ever, along with pain in her jaw and legs. Possibly related is the fact that her right foot has also been slightly swollen for the past 3 days. Anyway, she went to the ER and the EKG was normal, and she felt much better within a half hour or so, but they plan to keep her there overnight for observation and more tests.
Avatar n tn These symptoms could be a sign that you are having a heart attack or angina (a pre-heart attack). The pain from this is usually a heaviness in the chest, sometimes associated with shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, and /or sweating. It can spread to the shoulders, the jaw, or the left arm. Another cause of chest pain that radiates to the shoulder blades could be a tear in the aorta, which is a medical emergency. It would be most safe if you were evaluated as soon as possible.
Avatar m tn a few days ago i began having jaw pain when I open my mouth. It is not severe pain, but mild to moderate. The only thing I have been doing differently is that recently i have been using finacea and hydroquinone. Tho weeks ago I started using the medications on the same area not at the exact same time, but within an hour. I Have had the pain for four days now and it has not seemed to have gotten any better.
