Avatar f tn What would cause my bite to shift to the right and pain at the joint of my jaw on the right? Could this change account for my having a constant eadache?
Avatar f tn I am quite sure if it was an ear infection, you would be feeling very sick by now with a fever, and the pain would be more localized( in your ear itself) not as a headache pain. In this case, you should get an opinion from your dentist. If it is TMJ he will be able to help you better than your reg. MD.
504930 tn?1210512101 I have been reading about my symptoms and it sounds a lot like this, since the jaw and ear started hurting. (plugged feeling in the ear) Also right side neck pain for a few days a couple of weeks ago. (I just assumed I slept on it wrong or something).
Avatar f tn ve had an ongoing headache for about 3 weeks now, I have been to the doctor twice, and was given Naproxen, which disagreed with me, I was told to relax, my jaw is in spasm, the headache wakes me at night, and the pain doesnt stay in the same place, yesterday it was around my left ear and jaw, this morning its at the back of my head. Has anyone got any suggestions to help it?
Avatar f tn Just an ordinary doctor could tell me that?
Avatar f tn i get a sharp pain behind my left ear it can last days in spasms comes lasts a few seconds then goes i get a few mins rest then it happens again today nothing so far but i would like to know what is causing it
Avatar n tn It always starts with a horrible headache then it goes to numbness in my cheek and jaw and ear. The other day I had a new symptom that was a sore throat pain in underneath of jaw and behind my ear. Anyway, someone told me the headache was a side effect of gabbapentin but the headache has always been present even before I started medication. The headache is constant and unrelenting. I have had MRI and cat scan and they were normal. Dr thinks my TN came from mastoiditis that I had.
146298 tn?1258712247 They go from my eye to my jaw and specific points of pain are jaw, base of skull, top of skull, behind ear, where shoulder meets neck. When I have such a headache I am very dizzy, technically it's vertigo. After the ache has begun my nostril slowly closes itself and adds a bit to the pressure, but I've had sinus headaches and this is different. Something in my head seems to be swelling and blocking the nasal passage rather than the nasal passage being blocked and causing the pain.
Avatar n tn I am a 31 y/o female and I have been having a tingling sensation on the right side of my head... Also have been having pain around my ear and on the same right side pain going down my neck ... Not sure exactly what this is .. Been having a few weird pains the past few days .. Had pain in the top of my shoulsders for the past 3 days and went to see a massage therapist.. Pain has since stopped .. But now I have this pain or more like nagging sensation in the right side of my head..
Avatar f tn However, I have taken all of the medication, the redness was gone within a couple of days, but now the pain has worsened, even to the point of causing a burning in my jaw by my ear, as it does if I laugh when I have something sour in my mouth. I also have a continuous ear pain and have a headache all day and night. At night it causes me to wake up and the headache is so bad I feel sick to my stomach. It hurts worse to lay on my right side also.
Avatar n tn I get the worst pain on my left side of my face, head, my ear hurts and my neck almost like a toothache.
387767 tn?1345872027 Ear pain, Jaw pain and Headaches can be due to TMJ ( Tempromandibular Joint Dysfunction). TMJ is common in patients with Fibromyalgia. Do you grind /clench your teeth at night? Do you mostly get this pain after waking up from sleep? Then most likely it's TMJ. Also, If your dentist mentions that you have some teeth-wear ( Attrition), then you are most likely grinding/clenching your teeth at night. Though I don't know what the reason could be for your throat closing up...
Avatar n tn Also, you might go to a dentist specializing in TMJ disorders or a maxillofacial specialist, because a problem with the jaw is strongly suspect with headache on the side with jaw pain. Do you clench or grind your teeth when you sleep? I'm a clencher myself and I have both joints with arthritis and joint disc dislocations, with one of them out of place even when I open my mouth (called without reduction, I believe).
Avatar n tn s esphoguas, I have recently been in the hospital twice in two weeks. Once for high blood pressure, numbness in my left side of my neck, jaw and ear. Also blue hands. I had been taken off of elavil 25mg., that I was using for stomach spasm, per the doctor. The second hospital stay, I woke up at 3 am one morning with a headache and nausea. I took 3 baby aspirin, and two tylenol 325mg. I laid back down and pressure came over me.
Avatar f tn no ear discharge.no jaw pain. no dentures used.no medications.why is this occuring?
190673 tn?1259203266 I get headache that is mainlyon the back of my head and when I apply something cold to my jaw area the headache usually goes away. But I have read that TMJ can cause dizziness, anxiety etc while contrary to that, some people claim it cannot. Can someone with knowledge tell me the symptoms of TMJ and does it cause anxiety or vice versa?
Avatar n tn 1 minute is in the temple and then it later will move to her forehead or in front of her ear near her jaw. It is a sharp pain that is stronger sometimes than others. We just cant figure out what is causing it?
Avatar f tn I find my jaw stiffens and the pain also effects my ear but for me it is being caused by my recent Lyme dx and it's stress. I didn't have it until about 3-5 days after dx. I use a bite splint when needed. My Daughter is a dentist and recommends the less expensive ones you can buy in your local drug store much less of a cost as the custom made ones and just as effective.
3052618 tn?1344105035 which is somehow true as pain originates from c2.and then it hits in my left ear and the face from ear to eye.sometimes i feel as if somebody has beaten me up all night on the side.the most horrible pain definetly.

621386 tn?1221532483 Not to mention, that she suffered for years with head pain, jaw pain ( excrutiating) sinus troubles, severe neck pain, and mostly ear aches. They told her it was "sensative ears", and they told her it was Vertigo. This went on for many years, they gave her pain meds that only harbored the troubles. Now, I am very mad that her doctor(s) could not have found out about the cancer until the lesion showed up.
1808083 tn?1316314114 I just had a small filling done about an hour ago in the lower back molar. I am now having severe Jaw pain radiating up into the ear and around the lower jaw down into the gland area. The assistant who did the shots did something really wrong I think. I have never felt pain like that. I thought she had electrocuted me! There was a horrible nerve pain all the way up my jaw to my lip and into my ear. Then it really hurt as she was putting the rest into the jaw.
Avatar f tn hello, you could have tmj-temporomandibular joint disease-it does cause dizziness, headaches, pain in and around the ear, pain in the jaw and jaw clicking and popping. there are some good articles on the internet they give you more symptoms and info about it. i am not a dr-- i do not know about fever-chills and throwing up. with that it could be something else. sounds like you may need to see a dr and let him or her decide what is going on. good luck and hope you feel better soon.
Avatar n tn The pain has almost faded away, but yes my temple and ear felt kind of cold. My ear almost felt like the was something cold in it. Then my cheek and jaw felt warm like it had inflammation in it or something. The doctor I went to said it was just a herpetic outbreak and would go away on it's own, he didn't really look into it much though. For $50 I figured I'd at least get x-rayed or something.
Avatar f tn Hi lily0078, Have you seen a doctor about this headache yet? If a headache does not go away with home treatment after that much time has passed, it is important to see a doctor in order to get a proper diagnosis. There are two types of headaches: primary headaches and secondary headaches. A primary headaches is not caused by a separate disease, illness or an injury. Examples of primary headaches include: migraines and tension headaches.
