Avatar n tn I have been having sharp pains in the middle of my chest. The pain goed up into my jaw and ear. What can this be? I have high blood pressure.
Avatar m tn Next time would go to the emergency room where they can do labs and EKG. Cardiac enzymes from a heart attack do not show up till 48-72 hrs after a heart attack so they will need to redo the labs then. Many times heart attacks and strokes are caused from the same thing (clots.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I have body aches that make me feel like I have the flu. I also have a dull pain in my left jaw and sometimes pain radiating down my neck. My doctor has run several tests including thyroid function, glucose, and some neurological studies. Everything comes back perfect, but I still feel bad. Could this be a heart condition? Should I be more pro-active by seeking out a cardiologist on my own? There is a lot of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease in my family.
Avatar n tn My Dad had a Stent placed after a heart attack one week ago. He has been having jaw pain all day. Should we be worried?
Avatar m tn You could have something known as TMJ and that causes jaw pain. TemperoMandibularJoint disease can be brought on by repetitive movement of the lower jaw, which can cause lots of pain. You could also have a blocked salivary gland known as siladentits, which causes jaw pain. I would recommend seeing an MD if you have not done so already. Both of the issues I mentioned can be treated with medicine. IF it's siladenitis, it will require an antibiotic to treat.
Avatar f tn But the one that would concern me to immediately rule out is a cardiovascular reason. Women in particular can have lower left jaw pain during a heart attack. Now, I know this isn't presenting exactly that way for you but still is worth checking out. If you have any other symptoms with it like shortness of breath or chest discomfort, please go to the ER. The one thing that I think is fairly common is nerve compression called Trigeminal neuralgia. This is a big reason we get jaw pain.
Avatar n tn I personally suffer far more if the left Circumflex forms a blockage. It causes throat discomfort, nausea, chest pain, jaw ache, dizziness and my blood pressure drops. I can also say that my chest pains have always been in the centre of the chest, never radiating into the arms or back etc. My legs also tend to tingle. There is obviously a big difference between strong angina and a heart attack, because one has the heart mucles seriously compromised, whereas the other can be reversed.
Avatar n tn Does this sound like heart attack symptoms? I have been put on a prescription for beta blocker and given nitro spray, had an ecg, chest xray and blood tests but still waiting for results.
Avatar n tn When people refer to jaw pain and heart attack where on the jaw is this referring to. Is it lower jaw or up near the cheek on the upper jaw. Is the pain intense or throbbing.
659608 tn?1318289366 I have been reading that women may have that kind of symptom before a heart attack. I had Rheumatic fever as a young child, and have never been told I had any heart damage. I have heart attacks in my family, my brother has had several bypass surgeries, and has a difibullar in place, and his heart is working at 20%. Is there a possibility this could be heart related, or is there some other cause? I would appreciate comments from anyone who has had this or knows someone who has.
1814992 tn?1316890851 Doctor checked only my blood pressure which was normal and refused to do further checking of heart , telling that I might be very young to have heart attack. Please , help me to understand this symthoms... Thank You in advance!
Avatar f tn While there are many non-life threatening causes of chest pain (such as mild asthma, acid reflux, and musclar pain), there are serious causes as well (such as heart attack, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection). While your young age, lack of co-morbidities associated with heart attack, and atypical symptoms are reassuring, given the potential other diagnoses you should be seen by a doctor to make sure nothing more serious is wrong.
Avatar f tn jaw pain has nothing to do with gallbladder,,,heart issues caould cause the center epigastric pain,,,and the jaw pain.
Avatar f tn I'm 44, female. I have two heart problems. One is the prolapsed anterior mitral valve which I did the echo-test in 2001. Unfortunately couple days ago, only 10-15 minutes after start in my body combat class, like a heart attack, I fainted, heart pain and severe jaw pain but I didn't collapse. I took a break nearly 30 minutes my heart was getting better and less jaw pain. Actually it was happened to me several times during the tennis course. So I did CT scan test.
Avatar f tn I have been reading what the previous members were expiercing, and I have been having the same exact symptoms, to a"T". They are very sporadic, but extremely sever pain in the chest and upper back and jaw. I don't know what causes it, but when it starts you can not stop it. It last between 5 to 30 minutes and when its gone, you feel fine. I have rushed myself to emergency room three times, thinking I was having a heart attack.
Avatar n tn The symptoms you describe are typical for a heart attack in a woman. Woman will normally feel pain n the back rather the chest and mostly radiating to the jaw. The fact that it only lasted 15 mins is a good sign, but given the nature of your pain along with the timing, 4 am to 9 am is the most common time for a heart attack, I would be getting checked out.
Avatar n tn ve even had a mild heart attack, chest pain radiating from the chest to the lower jaw is a symptom of a heart attack, if you have any dizziness or feeling sick then see a doc straight away
Avatar f tn A little over a week ago I woke up with what felt like a pulled muscle in my neck, which causes stiff neck and pain in my neck and shoulder on the right side. Two days later, it had radiated up to my jaw and ear (still right side only) and sometimes would cause me to feel pain behind my right eye-sort of like a migraine. A day after that I had pain at the base of my skull on the right side alone with an almost burning sensation in my neck and shoulder.
370181 tn?1595629445 Thanks so much for your response, selma. I didn't think about the vagus nerve being a possibility and I'd never heard of the condition you called "silent reflux." I was just incredibly relieved you didn't immediately say "run to your cardiologst as it might be a heart attack!" That is what I was fearing someone would say.
Avatar m tn It usually lasts a few minutes and then goes away. I dont have any other symptoms other than sharp chest pain, pain in my jaw, and left arm. What could this be? Is it possible to have a heart attack at 25?
Avatar m tn Me being a pretty cautious dude, I searched the internet to try and solve my problems. But when I saw that it was a heart attack symptom my heart sank and I had a panic attack and felt like I was going to die. After I calmed myself down and walked home and told my mum about it. She said that i should I should wait a few days until I go to the doctor. During these days I developed very very minor chest pains, that was when I knew I needed to see a doctor.
