Avatar n tn the nose cleared slightly but i am still blowing my nose as its still slightly block. but the part below my left ear around the jaw joint area became more uncomfortable. what could be the problem?
Avatar n tn had a stabing pain behind left ear, it was between my ear and jaw bone, recently had two teeth pulled near the front. it hurt when i open my mouth and the ice cream made it hurt. I also have a sinus infection and sore throat.
Avatar n tn I have had a similar symptom. First I would get get an occasional feeling of cool liquid in my year but nothing is there. About a month later, my jaw on the same side as the "cool" ear got real sore. It has been a month or so now, with the jaw still sore, and the ear getting those cool liquid feelings now on a regular almost constant basis. Hmm... TMJ? I have some rhumatoid arthritis in my family. Maybe I am disintegrating. Just my luck.

1446980 tn?1286838538 yes many of us have reported jaw pain as well as eye pains...ear fullness too. With the ears I also get ringing , buzzing, and even what feels like an ice pick jabbing pain..... I also asked my dentist to rule out TMJD....as many times we r told that is what the pain is from...mine was not.
Avatar f tn s connected (started recently), pain/tightness - what feels like a super tight muscle knot/ball - at the back base of my jaw right below the ear, ear tube pain, ringing in my ears, more so on the right side, which also hurts more. Have a small (unmovable) lump on right side in mouth almost directly under bottom molars. Hasn't changed in size in the year since I noticed it, but a lot of the pain in my ears/throat is right around there.
Avatar m tn Very unlikely that this mechanism could cause ear drum rupture. The jaw joint and middle ear are very close in space and when one hurts the other often does too. It's not inconceivable that your jaw itself could have been injured though. Seeing a doctor is an easy recommendation to make...
Avatar f tn My latest bought (Just getting Over) originated from the below the jaw/neck. Radiated to ear, teeth, cheek, eye and forehead. At 1st I thought it was an ear infection. There are 3 nerves (TRI-geminal) in the face that will cause different pain in different locations. Typically only effects one side of the face. Treatment is difficult. Pain med. Anti-inflammatory. Soft foods, rest.
Avatar m tn Dear trek, Dr says that with these tests I did not have the virus , but the two weeks I woke up with a sore throat and pain in the jaw below the ear . Não preciso ficar preocupado com esses sintomas como sendo hiv. o que deve ser esses sintomas.
Avatar m tn I have a Painless swollen lymph node below my Jaw in the right side and I realized it before 2 years. It hasn't changed in size. I don't even realize it till I touch it. I have an issue with my wisdom teeth and I am yet to remove it. Whether I have to be worried about this swollen lymph node? I once discussed it with a doctor, he asked me to ignore it saying that it could be swollen because of my wisdom teeth. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn I have pain in the lower right jaw around where the jaw curves close to, but below, the ear. I recently went to the dentist and xrays showed no problems, and there is no tooth pain. I do not have my tonsils and my glands are not swollen. Are there nerves that feed through this area? I can't understand why this pain is here. It seems to go away for a few days but then comes back without cause. Very tender to the touch. Do you have any idea what I can do or who I should see for this problem?
Avatar n tn I am having a problem with my left ear/jaw area. The pain will start gradually but increase over time. It casuses my jaw to feel tight and I have terrific pain in my ear. It hurts to turn my head to the right (keep in mind it is my left ear that hurts) and touching my ear causes near vomit inducing pain. There is a spot just below my ear that if I massage it, the pain subsides for a minute or two and then starts back up.
387767 tn?1345872027 Is it possible to have arthritis in the jaw? I get pain in my jaw right near my ear, and I get pain in my ear, especially the left one. I also get a sharp pains in my head on that side. I am worried. Doctors are not really giving me an answer, and I visited several dentists to check my teeth and for TMJ. My jaw kind of clicks when I move it, but not really any pain in my mouth. Since I have arthritis in so many other joints, is it possible to have it here too?
504930 tn?1210512101 I have been reading about my symptoms and it sounds a lot like this, since the jaw and ear started hurting. (plugged feeling in the ear) Also right side neck pain for a few days a couple of weeks ago. (I just assumed I slept on it wrong or something).
Avatar f tn Any time I have tooth or jaw pain for any reason (like not wearing my night guard), the ear pain gets worse. Pain from the jaw / teeth tracks up to the head, behind the ears. Sinus infections definitely worsen the pain (which can spread to forehead, cheek, nasal area during infections).
Avatar m tn Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. The pain could be related to causes located in the teeth/ gums/ ear/ throat, underlying bones, overlying soft tissue structures such as infections/ inflammations, neuro-muscular causes, injuries/ trauma, growth/ masses etc.

Avatar f tn ) for four months in last spring. Now pain around the ear has returned. Sometimes the pain is below the ear or jaw angle, sometmes in or behind the ear canal. Sometimes it is in the upper temple area. On one day when I was working in our garden, I had headache in the temple, and it lasted for the whole day. I have never had migraine. I have read about exertional headache, could it be such? Nowadays the ear pain occurs most frequently early in the morning but can also occur during the daytime.
155639 tn?1251738603 I have been having ear pain/fullness feeling that radiates down the side of my jaw, inside my ear, down below my ear and even down my shoulder at times. It feels like it should be swollen but there is NO swelling. I can hear some cracking in the jaw when I open up my mouth on that side. I saw my ENT yesterday thinking it was an ear problem. He did hearing tests that were perfect and my ear drum looks great.
Avatar n tn For the past five days I have had a lump below my ear in the area where the jaw hinge is. It's smaller than a marble, but painful to the touch. It's hard to tell if I can move it or not. Last week I had a bad spell of vertigo which I've never had before. I went to the doctor, but didn't have the lump at the time. The lump is on the same side as the positional vertigo ear. Any ideas what it could be?
1432874 tn?1283385853 m done chewing or talking, or just whenever, I feel pain and tenseness just below my ear and right in the back of my jaw where it opens and where my wisdom teeth are. I've searched and haven't found anything really to relieve this, but put tubes in your ears (not happening) and get an incision in your eardrum to release the fluid, which I don't want to do either.
Avatar f tn I'm a 23 year old, female. Two days ago, I noticed a small bump on the left side of my neck the size of a jelly bean, about two inches below my ear, and two inches back. It wasn't painful and I figured it was a swollen lymph node. The same day, I noticed my left leg sporadically going numb but I didn't connect the two. The next day, the bump was swollen to about the size of a quarter and a few other things appeared.
Avatar n tn I dont feel any pain until i open my jaw more than half way. My ear feels like theres a lot of fluid in it. I was thinking it might be an ear infection. But why would my jaw really hurt to open more than half way? It doesnt hurt when I chew either. Does anyone know what I might have?
Avatar f tn What would cause my bite to shift to the right and pain at the joint of my jaw on the right? Could this change account for my having a constant eadache?
498623 tn?1212932319 I have an open bite. I was in braces for 10 years and the only way to fix the bite at this point is orthoganathic surgery. I have post poned this due to the fact that the insurance company considers it cosmetic. But since the fact (its been four years) I have developed horrible jaw pain.. it causes huge headaches.. and makes it difficult to eat. The pain never really goes away, its very consistent.
Avatar f tn s a dull pain when not even eating, slight headache, neck pain just below right jaw, also several times a sharp ear pain occured enough to woke me up in morning. Im going to try eating soft food/soup now see if it cures the problem. Or should i go to dentist now? Thank you.
Avatar n tn When the jaw is closed it resides below the ear, and when I open my jaw it moves over the jaw bone right infront of the ear. I can move it around a little bit, and it is not painfull and hasnt grown at all, just becomes a little swollen if I play with it to much. Ive gone to my primary doctor, dentist, and oral surgeon which all say its nothing to worry about, its a muscle or gland? My oral however said it was a muscle that has become out of whack or something?
Avatar f tn I have had jaw pain for many days, only on one side, now i have ear and throat pain on the same side, and my jaw hurts so bad, like I had been punched (or so I assume) really har din the jaw. It hurts to eat, and I have pain in my ear and a sore throat.....can anyone give me advise? Bad sinuses? Time to go the Dr?
