I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?

Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250. Was on glyburide. Had trouble with BS dropping as low as 40. Doc thought I would do better with this drug. I have only one kidney so was prescribed a 50mg dose. Will it regulate after I have been on for awhile?

I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.

I know januvia can cause joint pains. Did she have these pains bedore she started taking her meds? It can also be totally unrelated.

I am diabetic with 136/166 respectively fasting and PP. I am on medication like Amryl M2 forte, Januvia 50 pre breakfast and Cetrapin XR 500 post dinner. Storevas 10 and cardace 2.5 post dinner. I have been given Nexovas 10 in the morning too. My BP is 120/80 as per latest report. I am from the army Retd and 49 years. My weight is 87 and is on the higher side with hieght at 176. Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.

The pain is in both feet and ankles. I take five neurontin and a januvia every day because of postprandial high glucose numbers. I've had peripheral neuropathy and diabetes 2 for about 7 years now. I see a neurologist, endocrynologist, podiatrist and my primary doctor and so far no real answers.

Hi, I recently posted about severe side effects I was experiencing with the drug Januvia , I had severe stomach pains and sore throat. My doctor has now prescribed Galvus and said they are from the same family as Januvia. Has anybody tried this drug? if so did you experience any side effects ,especially stomach pains? . It may sound stupid but I am a little scared to take Galvus after what happened before.
