I take (2) 500mg of metformin at breakfast and supper. I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?

In Abu dhabi,UAE the medical test for visa is done in every two years which includes HIV test also. Apart from that there is Occupational health screening for food handlers and restsurants which is done every year(periodically) in al madina occupational health centre which includes blood test also. My question is does this medical include HIV test?

My Mom is having type-2 diabetes , her pre-lunch blood suger level is 178 & post-lunch 275. She is having join pain in legs due to which she feels trouble in walking & cannot stand for longer time. Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250. Was on glyburide. Had trouble with BS dropping as low as 40. Doc thought I would do better with this drug. I have only one kidney so was prescribed a 50mg dose. Will it regulate after I have been on for awhile?

I am not currently taking the contraceptive pill. The major issue is that i live in the UAE and the morning after pill is not available here. I read on another website that taking an increased dose (4 now and 4 in 12hrs) of certain contraceptive pills has the same effect. The problem is i cant even get the contraceptive pill without a prescription and i cant get a prescription if I'm not married! I am stressed out of my brain! I do have some yasmin tablets in my bathroom drawer.
