194838 tn?1303428544 Thankyou both so much for answering so fast, I will change the time I take the Januvia and will make sure I eat enough when taking the Metformin. I want to give the Januvia a chance but as I said the stomach pain is not a side effect I could tolerate for too long. Thanks again for explaining how these meds work, it helps to understand.

Avatar f tn While in the hospital for heart related problems my doctors found that I had the D word. I refuse to accept this as I have worked so hard to avoid having the D word. I was sent home with a monitor which I refuse to use (no fear of needles just using the monitor means acceptance). I am on Januvia 50 mg and Amaryl 1mg. My doctor told me to eat 3 meals a day plus a snack at bed time. I have lived by the Atkins diet and don't eat carbs and don't care for sweets.
Avatar n tn I have pain in the very upper back of my legs and the inside of my legs where the thigh meets the body. It began a few weeks ago. I am 64 and have been a type 2 diabetic for 5 years. I also have been treated for hypertension and high cholesterol levels since the age of 50. I take daily Glucophage 500 x 2, Januvia 100, Actos 30 (newly prescribed), Lisinopril 40, Amlodopine 10 (newly prescribed), and HCTZ 25. What do you think is the cause of my pain? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.
Avatar f tn And Levitra for several years, using it about once every two weeks. The Januvia I have been using about a year now. For my diabetes, I could do better. I do plan to see my doctor about it very soon.
535822 tn?1443976780 The New York Post today has said that there is a push for the 9/11 Trial to go to Govenor's Island , A lower Manhatton Community board called on fed officails yesterday to move the trail of the terrorists to Govenor's Island and passed a resolution demanding the shift, in a hearing with Downtown Residents who loathe the idea of the threats that would ensue and the lockdown it would involve, this makes sense to me , what say you ....
721243 tn?1230573586 Insulin is one of the options and it is a good one because it works. Using needles is not something people prefer, but if it makes you healthy in the long run it is much better than the alternative Still, there are many other medications that can be taken by mouth besides Januvia, so you may not need insulin just yet. Be sure to give dietary changes and exercise a good try and stick with those changes. Keep checking blood sugars regularly. Drink lots of water, cut out all sodas and juices.

Avatar n tn Hello, Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Remember that diabetes should be your priority.
194838 tn?1303428544 Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
Avatar f tn While E-33 is indeed bactricidal, it is also corrosive and will cause deterioration of a wound and a chemical burn. The individual who approved this protocol shoiuld be criminally charged and dismissed. You have a situation requiring immediate action and intervention. The use of E-33 for diabetic wound care is not acceptable nursing home practice.

Avatar n tn If it continues past a week, I suggest speaking to your doctor about possible side effects form the medication, or work-up of GI illnesses that are sometimes more common in people with diabetes. In the meantime try to stay hydrated and stay with bland foods. Take care.
