januvia

Avatar n tn Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250. Was on glyburide. Had trouble with BS dropping as low as 40. Doc thought I would do better with this drug. I have only one kidney so was prescribed a 50mg dose. Will it regulate after I have been on for awhile?
Avatar f tn I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.
Avatar n tn I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?
Avatar n tn Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.
Avatar n tn i m asking as haw the use of sitaglipin help in conlrolling the sugar levels.
Avatar n tn t get byeta, are there any similar drugs that are covered under your plan? Byeta is a class of drugs called insulin mimetics. This includes Byeta/ Bydureon, Victoza, Januvia, among others. Maybe your Dr can check if any of the others are covered and may be of help for you. If you cannot get these drugs, you may want to try a low carb diet (low carb, moderate protein, and fat for balance of energy). Some people find this way of eating helps both blood sugar control and weight management.
194838 tn?1303428544 My doctor has now prescribed Galvus and said they are from the same family as Januvia. Has anybody tried this drug? if so did you experience any side effects ,especially stomach pains? . It may sound stupid but I am a little scared to take Galvus after what happened before. I am taking Glucophage and my GP has added Galvus as my blood sugar is not yet controlled. Did anybody gain or lose weight while on Galvus?. Sorry so many questions but Im feeling anxious about this.

If he is diagnosed with ADD, I want to try everything before drugs.
Avatar f tn What are the odds of those of us that are suffering from from tooth decay and paying outrageously for doctors appointments, prescriptions, and now dentists and dental bills, what do we need or have to do to begin a class action lawsuit? Four members of my family have been on subutex for about 6 years some for general pain and some for addiction and we all have the same issues with decaying teeth and such. Our doctor has no means of tapering us off but we all have started ourselves.
