I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?

I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.
What does this sound like, and what can I do about it? I am a Type 2 Diabetic, and take Metformin, Januvia, and Zoloft for anxiety.
i have done blood test on last month and my dibetologist asked me to take glucophage 500 on morning and januvia-100mg on night.after taking the same for 3 weeks my fasting sugar was under control.i m an IT professional.when i came to my work place ,bcz of work pressure and tensions ,my blood sugar level(fasting ) is getting high.
is it possible to take tahe same with glucophage 500 mg and januvia 100mg on night?

I know januvia can cause joint pains. Did she have these pains bedore she started taking her meds? It can also be totally unrelated.
I am diabetic with 136/166 respectively fasting and PP. I am on medication like Amryl M2 forte, Januvia 50 pre breakfast and Cetrapin XR 500 post dinner. Storevas 10 and cardace 2.5 post dinner. I have been given Nexovas 10 in the morning too. My BP is 120/80 as per latest report. I am from the army Retd and 49 years. My weight is 87 and is on the higher side with hieght at 176. I always took drinks in the evenings controlled. Kindly advice. I am off it since my liver is fatty as per USG.
Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.

My dad (78 years old) is on dialysis since last year due to kidney failure, on top of that he has a Coronary Heart Disease since 2000, so he is on meds. He does 3x a week then reduce to 2x week dialysis. Since last July of this year my dad has been experiencing too much weakness than normal. He can barely walk anymore. Then, he started having too low BP after each dialysis to the point that he passes out & sometimes get stiff.
Kidney dialysis can lower the blood pressure causing problems with the heart. If the blood pressure drops too far, the liver shuts down due to the heart not pumping properly. If the kidney dialysis is not started, the failing kidneys will make the heart worse. If the kidney dialysis is started, it could prove fatal. Kidney dialysis can do done in hope that it will not drop the blood pressure down too far. If the kidney dialysis is not done, the heart will suffer.
i want him to live longer,is it possible for him to live longer if he will not undergo dialysis?how long?or if he will undergo dialysis,what will happen if he decided to stop after 5-6 sessions of dialysis?i'm confused,i'm worried about my father's situation but i cannot do anything because i don't know what actions will i take.please help me!thanks....

The pain is in both feet and ankles. I take five neurontin and a januvia every day because of postprandial high glucose numbers. I've had peripheral neuropathy and diabetes 2 for about 7 years now. I see a neurologist, endocrynologist, podiatrist and my primary doctor and so far no real answers.
I want to know if it will do harm to take both menications can i take januvia for diabetic and phentermine at the same time or will i get a reaction to the medication

I'm sure you are worried. Trust your doctors. I don't think dialysis hurts. My niece has been on dialysis for nearly 10 years now. She is on a transplant list, but she has a rare blood and it is taking awhile to get a kidney, but she has a job, she has 4 kids, a husband, and her spirits are high. Dialysis does not need to interupt your life. Just don't let it. I asked my niece how she feels after she has dialysis and she said it gives her energy, takes away the tiredness.

i am losing my insurance so i cant take januvia. What should i take?
My friend Nory needs help to pay for her dialysis 2X a week. I have been paying it for her in hopes of some charity helping; but so far only PSC has offered any assistance & it is minimal. I have written 100's of letters to many religious & charitable organizations and no luck so far. If anyone knows of a charity that has helped please let us know. I haven't the finances to keep doing this uch longer & she will die. :(

My niece (her daughter) said that as the time got closer to her needing dialysis, she became more and more confused and then after dialysis, became clear headed again. We do understand this is due to the toxins building and then dialysis cleaning the blood.
Approximately 10 days ago, she decided to discontinue dialysis and went home with hospice. Her last dialysis was 2 weeks ago today. My niece says that she’s been extremely confused and making no sense at all.
