Itchy vulva before period

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy vulva before period

vagina

I have this white spot - it is not raised or anything inside vulva (vaginal lip area). It tends to get itchy right before my period. I have had it for awhile and doctor took two second look at it and said it was fine but I wonder what it is. I was given steroid cream for it - doesn't seem like that will help it heal? Any thoughts. Again, flat white patch, small, no broken skin, not raised. Thanks.
it went on like this until I got my period. The thing is, i got a fever the day before my period, and i felt horribly sick. The day after i started my period is when i noticed a papercut looking cut, small, above the top of where the lips start to seperate. After this, the bumps started getting worse, and itching more. Then, they sortof went a way for a couple weeks.
then it came back. Now I have red bumps around the vulva and vaginal opening that are severly itchy.. I also have white discharge now, but its thick..not watery at all. These symtoms are becoming very uncomfortable to the point where I cant sleep at night because of the severe itch..and its bothersome during the day too. I have never been to the gyno, and I am really uncomfortable going :( Is there anything I can do at home.. I have no idea what the problem may be.
Do your symptoms get worse just before your period? Though the commonest causes for your symptoms incluede UTI, STI, vaginitis, etc., there are other conditions which are generalized and cause bladder symptoms. If you have any family history of diabetes, you need to get that ruled out as an underlying factor. If predisposed to developing kidney stones, you will need to have radioimaging done to rule out the same.
I put itch relief cream like Caladryl Clear, and Cortizone 10 on the rash to stop the itching, and after awhile ( i am not sure if it was before or after i too a shower ) some of the little red bumps (mostly around my vulva) had started to turn flaky and peel. There is no puss, and they don't hurt. The bumps around my anus, and the lines of dots that go on to my butt cheeks however, are still there.

- Irritated and itchy vulva area, - When severe, skin becomes raw, clitoris looks swollen and pushed out, - White callused looking skin appears (skin eventually breaks) around the clitoris, - Labia majora sometimes becomes swollen as a result of the irritation - Gland on right groin has been hardened in the past couple of years, and when the condition worsens, it becomes sore (doctor had previously said it was normal) - Extreme flares and conditions exist approximately a week or two prior to m
calf myscle aches, shooting pain in thighs during menstral cycle and after vaginal burning around vulva, itchy anus, itchy clit... Some white residue where clit and lips meet. Given topical cream for yeast infection, but irritation persisted. Itchiness never fully subsided. November: itchiness returned after sex, tons of stress and same burning symptoms as above which have been going on either 2 or 4 weeks (not sure if October episode really subsided)...
I have the same symptoms as you all -- intense burning just before my period and continues until a few days after my period ends. All tests come back negative. This has been going on for YEARS and my OB/GYN got annoyed with me so I quit him. I had 2 other docs say I had IC (interstichal cystits) but when they looked at the inside of my bladder it was perfectly healthy. I have a med. chest FULL of creams that don't work.
The bumps do not hurt, but are only a little dry and itchy. I have not had sex with my boyfriend since before the yeast infection (it's probably been about 3 weeks now!). None of this was going on (besides the yeast infection) when I last went to my gynecologist 2 weeks ago. What does this sound like to you?
There is a distinctive pressure above my vagina and it feels bloated like it usually does right before my period and I sometimes also feel menstrual discomfort like those I might experience during my period. I also have the inclination to pee again and again and sometimes I feel like that's the reason for the pressure. I'm a virgin so it's not possible that I'm pregnant and I really don't know what to do.
im not sexually active and ive only really been fingered by my boyfriend.. but since i have come on my period ive become really itchy and sore, and ive come off my period and it is still itchy and sore, and i just dont know what to do my boyfriend cant even get me wet.. but my vagina has also became quite swollen, anyone have any suggestions what it could be?
For the past 3 YEARS I've had to deal with an itchy, irritated vaginal area. Over the course of that time, I've seen a total of 5 doctors... my family physician, a gynecologist, and 3 dermatologists. And, in that time, I've never really gotten a straight answer as to what's going on 'down there'. I've never heard the term "Bacterial Vaginosis" or "Vulvodynia", but could it be this? Thing is, it's only uncomfortable... there usually isn't any visual sign of soreness.
I started my period and started to get really itchy down there. I had this before and went to the doctor and had a yeast infection so this time I just went out and bought the monastat 7 that I got last time. Well yesterday was my last day and the itching seems to have gotten alot better but it's still there. Could it be something else or does it usually take a couple days longer for that to stop itching? Also does anybody know how long after this stops that I can have sex with my husband?
Doctor said that I have cervicitis when she did the colposcopy. After a few days, I noticed a couple of bumps on my outer labia (vulva)and they are itchy (size of pimple). Is this related to my hpv? Or is it possibly yeast infection due to the antibiotic that she applied during colposcopy? Or is this early symptoms of vulvar cancer? I am so worried.
The burning got worse over the following few days, and expanded to my anus and vulva--I was in a lot of pain and also feeling feverish, weird aches and pains, etc. So back to the doctor, who finally cultured me for herpes. Results came back 6 days later--positive culture for type two herpes.
I started 3 days before period and stopped while I had my period as soon as the period stopped the itching started again. I thought it might be a yeast infection (even though there was no discharge) took 3 day treatment no itching and when treatment was over it came right back. The itching happens through the day off and on. I can go a day or two with no itching and then it comes back. I went to the Doctor and she found nothing.
Tingling persisted for a couple of weeks and became extremely itchy until I called my doctor and got diflucan (she did not physically examine me based on history of yeast infections-but really has only examined me once in previous years when these symptoms occurred). Diflucan seemed to relieve my symptoms, they recurred 1 week later. This time, I had the pain in the lower left labia and this time there was a small round pea-like bump under skin. Went away in a few days.
I have notice recently that whle having my period mu vulva get really itchy, so I usually scratch, and after my period is over I usually have a rash. Anyone knows anything?
I usually start getting itchy about 4 days before my period. REAL ITCHY!!!! its at the opening. Its awful. I am going to have to go to a free clinic. I have used OTC relief but it comes back every month. I will start taking the acidophilis and hope that and the clinic help me out but I never had this problem. I have 2 kids but after the 2nd one my body is wacko!! Has anyone had any relief???
Can doctor recommend me any way to reduce vaginal itchy? Can menstrual period stop itchy of my vaginal? Besides, can I take acidophilus tablet as supplement in order to prevent vaginal infection? Hope to get your reply soon and hope to get some advices from you. I feel so worry and stress.
He gave me oral and we participated in dry humping (me in my underwear and him naked) I got an itchy vulva after that and clumpy white discharge.I also felt sick and went to the doctor and was told nothing was wrong. I did try an over the counter yeast infection cure but it didn't work (i don't think I inserted it far enough) reccently I met up with the same guy and did this all again but this time I gave him oral. I now have a headache and the itching still continues.
When my husband and I decided to start trying to get pregnant, I stopped my pills and it was almost 2 months before my period regulated, and before I stopped getting irregular spotting and bleeding and symptoms, so I think you should definitely take a test, whenever you feel like it now, since it will be accurate, good luck!
The first fifteen days of the next month were discharge free and then I got the same strong smelling discharge again ten days before my period was due. My vulva was very itchy and I scratched it quite a lot, especially half consciously during sleep. Then another lesion formed at the same place ( flat, round, no pus, just like the topmost layer of skin had come off). It has been twelve days now and it seems to have become more like a paper cut, right in the fold of my left labia.
Hi can you help me I am 31 and the past few months a week before my period is due I get very uncomfortable down below and one minute it's itchy then it's sore it's so uncomfortable. Then as soon as I come on my period it goes. I have been using vagnsil but it doesn't fully ease it. I did have a miscarriage two years ago but not sure if its connected. Your advise would be much appreciated.
I am sexually active with my boyfriend but we both are monagamos and STD free and everything, and we have unprotected sex sometimes. My vagina has been itchy and kind of sore like where I pee from, with a bad smell. It smells like onions or B.O. kind of, and fishy. It definetly smells different usually I like the way it smells, and when I itch it stays on my hands and I cannot get the smell off.

Perimenopause, or pre-menopause is a transitional stage of two to ten years before complete cessation of the menstrual period. Its average duration is six years, and can appear in women from 35 to 50 years of age. This has not been a stage of women's lives much talked about, and a woman can find herself experiencing puzzling changes, and not know why. What is actually going on is a gradual decrease of estrogen. The manifestations of perimenopause can vary.
