Wednesday and thurday as well i bad a slight cough. Then friday morning i woke up with pretty bad build of phlegm in my throat and i had some pain in my throat. Keep in mind this was about 3 in the morning and i couldnt sleep because my throat was hurting and it was itchy as well and i had to get up and spit like every 10 mins. So that night i went to medicine cabinet and took the last of some otc cough medicine that i had and then i was fine and was able to sleep.
I have excessive phlegm, but no cough, seems to be worse after I eat. I am constantly clearing my throat, & getting a sore throat b/c of trying to clear it all the time. I'm getting some relief from Allegra, and some natural remedies, but it's not enough.
I would like some info. I came down with an itchy/sore throat at 11 days of a risk I had. Next day I had several re/brown spots on my chest. Most were on the left side but had some on the right. About 8 days later th sore throat really bothered me one morning. It hurt to swallow. I cleared some mucus/phlegm and it got a bit better. it went back to being a slight itchy/sore throat the next day. I felt like some mucus kept going from my nose to my throat.
Nasal and throat cleaning with sea salt and baking soda in warm water like 3 times a day or if not with a well-measured oxygenated water solution that is stronger, that would reduce substantially since when washing the nose the liquid penetrates to the throat and takes out Yellow phlegm when you are with the flu.
I had cold/flu in Dec 2007, since then i've been clonstantly clearing my throat of phlegm, it is clear phlegm. I'm not sure i'm meant to cough it up or not, but i'm scared to swallow it made me gag and a few months after my cold which scared me.
This morning, I cleared my throat as usual, but 3 times there were traces of blood in it. It's still clear but just with little bits of blood in it, one was a streak of blood. There was alot more clear phlegm.
I also had an itchy throat and a cough that produced green phlegm for 1 week. 3 weeks after this my rosacea was the reddest its ever been and a ring of spots was on my cheek and I had an itchy rash back of neck.these disappeared in a day and Im hoping this was stress. 1)am I right in thinking that 84 hrs is too early for ARS symptoms (seeing as pep can be started right up to 72hrs)?
Do you mean that if i do not have any phlegm after taking bromhexine, then there will be no more problem with the blood in phlegm? so , do i need to consult a doctor? A good news to tell, today the phlegm i spit out without coughing have no blood with it, except once. =) I did not sleep in air-con room de as i saw some of the post here said that if the air is too dry, that may cause blood vessels in nasal breaks. Thanx for ur advice and opinion. Ur opinion really console me a lot. Thank you!
Do you have any white spots like pus in the back of the throat or tonsil area, had any fever? Usually, you get a fever with a bacterial infection. It could also be viral. But I do trust the ENT's they are good. It is possible that it is a resistant bacteria. Some how I'm not surprised at the GP giving you too much antibiotics and miscalling a lymph node in the groin area.
It started 3 days ago. I woke up with a slight sore throat. Later on that day had a slight fever and into the late evening had the chills and had a hard time sleeping. Woke up the next morning. High Fever and worse sore throat. I though it was strep so went to the doctors got a throat swab done and came back negative for strep. Now Day three, Fever is gone but sore throat still there. I have an almost 4 yr old daughter, who at night wakes up coughing, gagging on to much phlegm, and follows with throwing up. Last night she threw up 6 times. No this is no the flu, or something she ate. This happens once a week. She generally wakes up with alot of phlegm and has a hard time coughing it out.

I've never had bad allergies before. In fact I would only sneeze once in a blue moon. But for a few weeks now my eyes have been itching so bad and I would itch them to the point that I've already had two infections of my eyelid on the left side.It would swell my eyelid almost till my eye was shut. I have a pretty bad history of staph infections. Also the roof of my mouth has been itching and when it starts to itch it will get these hard lumps on one side at a time.
