Started with a sore throat.
The primary symptom of rhinitis is a runny nose along with sneezing, watering of the eyes, congestion of the nose and itchy nose, throat, eyes, and ears. You are right in saying that steam inhalation is beneficial in rhinitis. Along with steam inhalation, you can take nonsedating antihistamines like cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratadine (Claritin). Moreover decongestants and topical decongestants may help in reducing congestion of the nose.
Help!!! i have been experiencing itchy throat, watery left eye, headache and sneezing since 2007. It has been going on and off eversince then and seemed to eased off with the use of Levocethirizine 10mg. The problem now is that this symptoms has been persistent and very embarassing and troublesome. I have used Levocetirizine and Piriton but with no change this time. It has now gotten to the point where I have nusea everyday and have to vomitt everyday before i feel any kind of relief.
• Does she seem to sneeze a lot? • Are her eyes itchy, red, and watery? • Does the skin under her eyes look dark or purple or blue (doctors call these allergic shiners)? • Does she breathe through her mouth? • Does she have a dry cough? • Is her skin irritated or broken out in an itchy red rash? If you answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, there's a good chance your baby is allergic to something in her environment.
I am experiencing sneezing, scratchy throat and watery itchy eyes. I am just wondering if any one else is experiencing this. I do wear contacts so I dont know if this has anything to do with it or not.
In April I started with the itchy, watery eyes. I has progressed to a rash on my face. I have been to the allergist, and the dermatologist who told me it was eczema. I am staring to think it has to do with a root canal I had done. The root canal was in Nov. 2006 and had to be redone in April and was wondering if anyone who has been experiencing similar symptoms had a root canal..
When hay fever was bad I would use a saline rinse in my eyes and in my nose and in my throat every hour to wash out pollens. My dust allergy got so much better once we got rid of all the carpeting. I now use indoor/outdoor rugs only as they don't absorb dust. I still have dust and tree allergies as well as cat and am sensitive to smokes, perfumes, fragrances. When I buy a new product I try to get hypoallergenic ones without fragrance.
hives (raised red blotches, itchy or painful) swelling of the tongue/ lips/ throat, dizziness, and other symptoms like itchy watery eyes and asthma. I would suggest you obtain a referral to an allergist or an ENT who does allergy testing. That is the only way to reliably know what is causing your allergic reaction. Some allergies can be life-threatening as they can precipitate anaphylactic shock in which the swelling can be so severe that it impairs the ability to breathe.
i recently came down with what I thought was a cold and experienced extremely bad symptoms (coughing, wheezing, itchy, watery eyes, congestion) the whole bit! This was probably the worst "cold/flu" virus that I have had in my lifetime. I'm 32. Turns out about a week and a half later - I started to get twitching in my left eye and the muscles in the left side of my face started to weaken. During this time I also experience itchiness in my left ear, back roof of my mouth/throat.
If it's bothering you, it's reason enough to go. Do you have any other symptoms with the mucus? Sneezing, dry nose/crusting, itchy eyes, watery eyes, etc. Do you notice that you have the excess mucus only at a particular time? (ie: being around an animal, being outside, weather changes, being inside, after cleaning, after being around someone smoking, after eating something in particular...etc) All of these things may help your doctor in determining the cause! Best of luck!
My eyes are sore, with redness, and swelling in the corners, near the bridge of my nose, I find smokey rooms make my eyes sore and itchy. Ive been on various antibiotics which have not really helped. My Dr. tells me I have a Virus, but its very resilient, and I'm hoping it not something more sinister. I'm wondering what this is I have and if any other people have had the problems, for the period I have, 3 mths. Im 32 and in good physical condition, a non smoker.
i get a really itchy chin, skin, head, face, sneeze a lot, itchy/watery eyes, and heavy wheezing when it is dusty. i don't really know what to tell you because i don't take any meds to get rid of the allergies. i just use my inhaler and sometimes it works. if you find any good meds for it tell me.
itchy throat and inner ears, slightly stuffy nose, plus normal itchy and watery eyes.
I sense relief then the symptoms return. Most days I can hear but am constantly aware that my ears are itchy. The challenge is to not itch. If I itch, I usually get flaky stuff that I literally can lift off my inner ear.If I itch too much it becomes wet and begins draining a wet clear fluid. Then at night, whatever side I lay on clogs shut. In the morning there is thick crusty crud that again I try not to pick at. Im obviously in continual circle of symptoms here.
Was eating bread and peanut butter. I don't seem to have any other connected symptoms, no watery itchy eyes or runny nose. It does seem my nose gets dry in the morning and sometimes can't breath through my nose because it is so blocked, but it isn't runny. As a young child I used to get many ear infections (not sure if that is relavant). I'm thinking it is either a food allergy (milk suspected) or post nasal drip? What things can I try to narrow it down?
My last doctor sent me to an allergy specialist/immunologist and it turned out I'm pretty much allergic to every environmental substances (which usually cause the typical sneezing, watery/itchy eyes, runny nose). I've tried taking Clariton, Allegra, Reactine but they do not work for the throat swelling. I also tried Cortisone inhalers and nasal sprays and had no luck. I'm sick of going to the doctors and having them look at me like I'm crazy or just giving me more antibiotics.
Some people experience allergy/sinus symptoms in different ways, my congestion happens in the throat, others in the nasal passage and others have watery eyes, needless to say, he prescibed FluNase or FluNose, with Zytec. This really worked for me althugh I used it just during the allergy season, when I experienced the congestion.
I have the same situation. It started a little while after I gave birth. It is only an itchy inner labia. No other side affects. I was tested for a yeast and bacteria infections. My ob-gyn has no clue (I went to 2). It comes and goes and is itchy!! I can not figure this out!!!
It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
Quite a few years ago I had my first bout with the watery, itchy, scaley, red, wrinkley, swollen eyes and after a couple of months it went away, then a few years later it started again and then went away. This past February, I had a complete hysterectomy and it started all over again, but this time it has gotten extremely worse. So like I said it could be that I have too much acid in my system or it could be some hormonal imbalance.
Now my eyelids a swelled very much so and my eyeballs itch as if I have cotton or sandpaper in my eyes. My eyes arent red just swollen and itchy. I do not have allergies and the eye doctor said that if my symptoms did not clear up to come back. Does anyone know by chance what it could be or what I can do for my symtoms? I have never had this problem and my symptoms are changing everyday and not in progressing towards clearing up. Help!
I need a holistic approach to dealing with my seasonal allergies that consist of sneezing three times in a row, itching watery eyes, itchy ears and throat, and a general feeling of being disconnected. Help Me!
Normally Asthma patients have a wheeze. Itchy throat and watery eyes sounds like allergies. You can take over the counter meds like Benadryl this type of med has antihistamine in it and it should stop your problems.
i have itchy nose and watery eyes and sneeze alot especially in the morning and i also have a swollen lymph node under my right jaw under my ear does anyone have any similar symptoms?
I'd have sneezing, mucus in throat, watery itchy eyes and head feeling heavy with also feeling tired. Recently I now have blurred vision in left eye, dry mouth and still mucus in throat. Went to my eye doc and she sees nothing wrong with eyes but signs of chronic allergies. Out me on Patady drops for 2 weeks but had to finish steroid drops first. Has anyone heard of this or had this.
Headache on one side of my head. 6. Dry Throat 7. Itchy and Watery eyes. 8. General Malaise. What am I coming Down with? Please advise me.
I'm having the usual spring alergy problems with itchy, watery eyes...and now my ears are tickling. Claritin didn't help with my eyes, so I started Benedryl tablets today every 4 hours. It really helped my eyes, but my ears started tickling tonight, and the Benedryl doesn't seem to be helping with that. Should I take some Claritin or Clortrimeton? I'm sure this is in response to pear trees blooming right now.
