Avatar m tn I think I have a mild reaction to artificial green apple flavoring. My throat gets very itchy and tight, but it doesn't affect my ability to breathe. Nothing serious, but its uncomfortable enough to avoid eating it. For the longest time I thought I was nuts, but I guess not!
Avatar n tn I am allergic, in the way that it makes my throat and mouth itch a lot, to cherries, peaches, (<- those two make me itch like crazy), bananas, avocados, apples, strawberries, and plums. I am allergic to some other fruits as well but it depends...it's just sometimes. Is there a specific allergy that connects to all those fruits? and is there a way to get rid of it, or lessen the effects? I think i have pollen allergies as well because i sneezed a lot during the spring.
Avatar n tn I am going to start eating cherries or drinking juice and plan to start with 6 cherries or 1 glass of juice per day. If I am not seeing a benefit I plan to increase the quantity I consume until I either see an improvement or I turn into a great big cherry :) Has your mother started drinking the juice yet? Is she seeing an improvement?
Avatar f tn Hi, I recently moved to Florida and appear to be suffering from allergies. People have told me that the new area may be what's causing the problem. Last year I got sick twice and both times people were saying allergies could've been the culprit. This year (in early January) I started with an itchy throat. Back in December I had a problem with my ears itching (I assumed they were just dry and used Mineral Oil to ease the itching).
Avatar f tn I really want some cherries. I woke twice in the night and still want them now. Last craving was sucking limes! Its crazy. Just a share really.
Avatar n tn Department of Agriculture/ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center, University of California at Davis, Davis, CA To assess the physiologic effects of cherry consumption, we measured plasma urate, antioxidant and inflammatory markers in 10 healthy women who consumed Bing sweet cherries. The women, age 22-40 y, consumed two servings (280 g) of cherries after an overnight fast. Blood and urine samples were taken before the cherry dose, and at 1.5, 3 and 5 h postdose.

338303 tn?1211319843 I did see that site but another forum had listed that cherries were also listed. I sure hope not because I love the white cherries and usually eat tons of them and also peaches.
444337 tn?1428073510 Do you have access to cherries, fresh or canned? Cherries contain the thing that is made and put in gout meds, and can help alleviate the pain and inflamation. You might ask your Dr first to make sure that cherries are not contraindicated - that it is just the meds which would interfere with the Harvoni, but I believe there has not been anything about not eating cherries on any of the hepc meds, that I have seen or heard anyone mention. Good luck. I know how painful gout can be!
Avatar n tn I've looked inside and out and No cherries. I WAS born with a hymen that was broken during my first sexual intercourse. The hymen is a small piece of membrane that is inside the vagina. Often broken (much less dramatic than it sounds or is portrayed) during sex but can also be broken during tampon insertion or fingering. Nothing pops. No cherries. Just a membrane that opens.
Avatar n tn Cherries are great for making your blood count go up (obviously fresh cherries)

Avatar f tn allergies, PN drip, and acid reflux. The ENT said the back of my throat looked like two cherries and scheduled me for barium study and gave me 2 wks of aciphex. Avatar m tn , child, were do cherries come from, my answer was this, well birds may eat the cherries and the will poo the cherry stones on the ground were they will grow into cherry trees and if your lucky when the trees grow up they will flower and then there will be cherries. I am 57 years of age and have two adult children of 25 and 30 that have gone through University and are doing well, I must have done something right! The child looks up to me as a father figure.
Avatar n tn However, it seems that the majority of people benefit from consuming about two tablespoons of tart cherry juice concentrate a day, or one to two servings of fresh or dried cherries. Just like with any other type of treatment, however, different people will naturally respond differently to cherries and the end results gained will most likely be varied.
