Common Questions and Answers about Itchy throat bumps

itchy

It does not hurt but like the little bumps, it just feels a bit irritating. Normally, the bumps will flare up and the throat will feel itchy for a few days to a week or so and then they will calm down only to reappear a week or two later. I did go see a few doctors at walk in clinics and they all said it's nothing to worry about but to be honest, I've been feeling really scared as of late because of this.
Two days ago I woke up with an awful sore throat and went to see the doctor and was told I had a bacterial infection in my throat. I have had aches in my back for these past two days as well. And then this morning, I woke up to find one red bump in my pubic hair but not near my genitals, but closer to my belly button. It had a white head on it, and fluid came out that seemed like pus, but I couldn't be sure. Also, one of my lips was swollen, red and itchy.
A day later I got a raised red, itchy bump on the back. A day later smaller bumps started to appear on my side, the side of my breast and in the middle of my chest. They've only got worse. They are itchy and very tender to touch, even wearing a t-shirt irritates them. I've also being experiencing drowsiness, headache, a cough and, as I mentioned before, a terrible throat. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with me?
So during the second week of june, I could very tired, fatigued, fever, sore throat, lost a lot of weight due to not eating cause of throat. My mouth and throat had white patches all over it. Had a strep test and mono test done twice. I was given medication to treat sore throat, it all got better. Went to the hospital, had X-rays done of my upper chest and everything was normal. During this time, my lymph nodes were beginning to swell in my neck.
My children are doing fine now, the symptoms went away just as they came my two year old got the bumps first, then my 16 year old got them about two days later then my 11 year old got them two days after my 16 year old and the bumps went away in the same way the youngest child bumps went away first then in two days the 16 year old then two days after that the 11 year old went away they had no other symptoms other than the bumps.
I still have red bumps on the back wall of my throat but there seems to also be small red bumps on my tonsils and sides of the back of my tongue (though I'm not sure if these are just the normal papillae). Any idea what the heck is going on?!
I also have multiple small bumps on the back of my throat too. I also have lump in throat sensation (feeling something stuck in my throat). They are not painful. I wonder what are they.
Hi Betty, sounds like your getting a cold or did alot of talking last night. The bumps are your taste buds. The taste buds are all over your tongue but get quite large on the back side.

I have a small patch of itchy and sore red bumps on my lower back, another patch on my right butt cheek, and another on my groin, all of which are on the right side of my body. Also, the lymph nodes in my groin are hard, swollen, and tender to the touch. Besides that I have no other symptoms. About a week ago, I had a bad sore throat with swollen lymph nodes but tested negative for strep throat. I am not sexually active at all. Any idea of what it could be?

Hello, These itchy bumps can be due to viral infections or scabies bites. Another possibility is of contact dermatitis or allergic reaction. Scabies is a contagious skin infection caused by a parasite – the mite, which burrows under the host’s skin and causes intense allergic itching. It is transmitted from objects or beddings, but more with direct skin- to – skin contact.
the bumps are itchy as hell, and if I scratch them they ooze a yellowish fluid that eventually hardens and forms a sharp scab-like crust onto of the bump. SO DISGUSTING.
I tested positive for Chlamydia and then took the antibiotics to get better but a couple weeks later started experiencing these itchy bumps on my inner labia. They resemble fordyce spots a bit and that is what my doctor keeps telling me, but fordyce spots do not itch. I was tested for herpes 2 weeks and then 9 weeks after possible exposure and it has still come up negative.
She also took a biopsy of one of the bumps to test it for herpes. Today, September 9th, I noticed that the bumps on my vaginal lips look larger and are now hurting without even pressing on them. The itching has actually decreased, but now my lips are painful. I know that I will probably find out in a few days what this is, but I am FREAKING out. I haven't been able to sleep at all, and I am just so nervous that this is herpes (which I am pretty convinced that it is).
itchy bumps on outer elbows, skin-colored small bumps on sides of fingers. I visited a dermatologist who recommended anti-histamines which had some positive effect. The bumps on the sides of the fingers seem to be triggered by summer heat. But they also increase in number whenever my elbows become more effected and itchy.
I am 34 years old and have been putting up extremely itchy skin for a year and half. When I scratch I am causing little bumps on my skin to scab over and they don't seem to heal. I have this rash look all over my body. I have been going to my dermatologist consistently and have been treated for Scabies, allergies. She has given me steroid creams, antihistimine creams, atarax, allegra none of which has seemed to work.
Although difficult to say exactly without examination, it could be hives, which is an allergic condition that can cause itchy bumps on skin. It can occur anywhere on the body such as the trunk, arms, and legs. Hives are usually allergic (food, cosmetics, medication and insect stings) but may also be due to infections and stress or some hereditary conditions. The common cold often causes hives in children.

Hello, BRP(brachioradial pruritis) is a rare disease, usually restricted to the forearms and is most prevalent in individuals between the ages of 39 and 72 years. BRP usually develops bilaterally and involves the area overlying the brachioradial muscle, although it can spread to the back or chest.3 Patients with BRP report having an itching sensation, usually combined with a burning or painful sensation.
Shortly after she got sick and thought it was perhaps strep throat. The bumps don't itch except the one on her arm. The are on her jaw, check, upper lip, ear, neck (side and the back of her neck), and on her back as well. She has taking benadril and claretin to try to make them clear up. She also used cortisone cream on her face but nothing helps. Any thoughts on what it could be? Also she has never had the chicken pox and she is 43yrs old, thank you.
After rubbing the flaky white skin away the bumps flattened and reddened, but are still present. The bumps don't cause me any pain. All of the bumps, in general, seem to be kind of fading, getting smaller. None have disappeared, they're reddish/pinkish, seem to have shrunk or flattened in a way. It's difficult to describe. There are a lot of small flesh-colored bumps all over the affected areas that I can feel but only really see if I turn in the light.
A couple of days later, after I got out of the shower and took my second day of zithromax for a sore throat, I started to notice immediately 2 bumps on my hand, three bumps on my other hand, two on my foot and two in my mouth on my tongue. I don't know if this is a cross between a dermatological problem or an oral problem. I have never had a reaction like this while taking the z-pak, however, I am allergic to Keflex and Sulfa.
