Common Questions and Answers about Itchy skin vinegar

My daughter who's a holistic health practitioner and aromatherapist uses a few drops of Organic Peppermint Oil over the itchy areas. You may also try Aloe vera gel, as this works well too. ACV (apple cider vinegar) may help also, but do a test on a small area first, just in case you react. The above suggestions are for relief only, not cure. Wish you well.
I think you're right about it being a skin tag and not a wart. Warts are fixed to the skin, not soft and mobile. Although treatment with a strong acid could destroy a skin tag in the way you describe, household vinegar is a weak acid and I wouldn't think it would have that effect. But it obviously did. Maybe some skin tags are especially sensitive to acid destruction. You might post a follow-up question on the dermatology forum and see what Dr. Rockoff says.
go for a skin check up first. maybe it is an allergy that u ate what you are not supposed to. at times some people have delicate bodies that if they take long without De-worming, it can effect them.
Hello, For the past 2 months I have had really itchy skin, especially on my legs. I itch all the time and I am also bruising easily. My legs have been covered with bruises (spots all over) for the past 2 months. I think that I am giving myself the bruises by itching my skin so hard, but I usually don't bruise easily. I am not taking any medications and as far as I know I do not have any allergies. I have also not changed any soaps or detergents or my diet.
Demodectic Mange is not Itchy.....This mites are easy to find on a skin scrape.....Must be treated for months because it's a result from an weak immune system....Immune systems need proper nutrition to be healthy.....I have treated many for this with 100% success.....Great food helps alot! This causes red, heated skin! Next: Bacterial infections are from the severe trauma to the skin & all the itching.....They itch and must be treated with oral antibiotics and special shampoos.....
I have the exact same symptoms as well. Very itchy and skin is bruising prob. from scratching it so much. I soaked in the hottest bath imaginable for it on my feet and it relieved it for hours, but yet it still does not explain what this is caused from or how to prevent it. I don't have any faith in doctors or hospitals anymore because honestly they all depend on the net too much for prognosis/diagnoses whatever!
I have started having the following symptoms 1. Severe burning in my ranging from my stomach to my throat 2. Itchy skin (may be unrelated) 3. "lump in my throat" feeling 4. Apple Cider Vinegar baths for my skin I would like to try Orange oil or Orange peel extract for the GERD. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
Hello, Itchy skin that isn't accompanied by other obvious skin changes, such as a rash, is most often caused by dry skin (xerosis). Dry skin usually results from environmental factors that you can wholly or partially control. These include hot or cold weather with low humidity levels, long-term use of air conditioning or central heating, and washing or bathing too much. Other conditions cause itchy skin as well.
She thinks my left forefoot was severe athlete's foot and prescribed me clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate USP, 1%/0,5% and my left forefoot became almost healed. The skin is still a little itchy and a little bubbly but back to normal skin color and no more oozing or insane itching. I used it under my breasts and the skin is back to normal color but still a little rash remains.
f you think you have lice, after you wash your hair, rinse it with a mixture of white vinegar and water (half and half). Lice do not like vinegar and will give up residence.
there are no bumps, or anything like that, but the skin is sometimes red... which i would guess is from the scratching. any ides of what this may be or how to treat it?
It is a skin disorder affecting the scalp, face, and trunk causing scaly, flaky, itchy, red skin. It particularly affects the sebum-gland rich areas of skin. Side effects to inflammation may include temporary hair loss. If severe outbreaks are untreated for extended intervals, permanent hair loss may result, because of damage to hair follicles. http://en.wikipedia.
i have asked my phsycian repeatedly and i get the same answer from her. She belives it is just dry skin that has shedded into my ear canal. Basically when i sleep i put one ear to the pillow and cover the other with my blanket. When i wake up my ears are full of clear liquid. My ears do not itch all the time but when they do, yipes... i dont have an answer to what is going on with all of us but i do know that i get major relief from the itching by using clear CALAMINE LOTION...
TOTW is excellent food......You need to incorporate some of their canned for moisture and highere nutrition.....If there is nothing else (Skin wise) going on such as Parasites, Yeast, Fungus, etc., then you should see a difference in about 6 weeks....Hang in there! Karla If the HS spray is helping, then by all means, use it......I would think that it was a drying agent....However, in this case, it evidently isn't.....
My vulva is really itchy but not all the time. it comes and goes and sometimes at the most awkward moments like when im sitting in class. Its not red or swollen and there's no red bumps of any kind. i've never been to a gyne and im kinda embarrassed to go. does anyone know what could be causing the itch or how to treat it?
For some time now, I have been having itchy legs..whether I shave or wait a few days. It does not matter..I have used soap & shaving gel...I use Venus razor which i think is one of the best around. I have any extremely itchy scalp and red pimples on the back of my head. Also I find I have some tag warts near the crown of the head. I have been applying apple cider vinegar which seems to make the itching go away for awhile. What do I need to do to correct this situation. I don't want to go to a doctor as I am currently out of work. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Hello, Itchy skin that isn't accompanied by other obvious skin changes, such as a rash, is most often caused by dry skin (xerosis). Other conditions cause itchy skin as well. Skin conditions like dermatitis, scabies and hives, internal diseases like liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, irritation and allergic reactions to chemicals, wool, soaps, cosmetics and certain foods can cause itchy skin. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area.
ive been itchy for about 3 weeks. its an uncontrollable itch. when i scratch i have red goosebump like rash come up. tried everything benedryl, zyrtec, clariten, oatmeal baths, cortizone creame, rubbing down with vinegar, benydrl cream. eveything you can think of ive tried. going to see a dermetologist tomorrow. hopefully i can get some answers. went to the hospital and they told me i was allergic to my self! thats bogus! i really dont think they know what they are talking about.
I have similar sounding problem. Very itchy and dry looking skin round the eye area, including the bridge of my nose. One eye is worse than the other. I have tried vaseline, aloe vera gel, even steroid cream which the doc prescribed after diagnosing blepharitis. I don't think it's blepharitis as a lot of the symptoms don't match, eg I don't have crusty or sticky eyes in the morning any more than is normal. Have trawled the net and can't find anything other than an allergic problem.
I forgot to mention the first scratchy load made me break out in an itchy rash that lasted almost 6 weeks. I have sensitive skin, but no fragrances or chemical softeners ever touch my clothes.
I am a 22 year old girl. I am fair and have smooth skin but my skin is not clear. I tend to have pimples and boils on my face. The boils appear on my forehead and cheeks. They are not painful or itchy but simple swellings and they come in clusters. Few days back i massaged my face with olive oil but i got rashes on my face> how do i treat it. My otherwise health is good but overweight. What do i do to clear my skin because these problems recur regularly. Mine is a normal skin.
Hi: I know itchy skin doesn't sound like a big problem, but my legs and arms itch like they were about to fall off everytime I take a shower. I don't have dry skin and I use Aveeno body lotion everyday to make sure I get enough moisture. The itching is like an intense tingling only on my arms and legs (mostly on my legs) and it's so bad that sometimes I just want to run yelling into the street.
The really itchy times like you describe are more rare now, but my skin is still not healthy. I have bumps on my arms that don't go away and that are itchy in a different way than the random really itchy episodes. The really itchy symptoms like you described go away after they travel around to different parts of my body for a while -- anywhere from a few minutes in each location to a few hours, then I don't get those symptoms anymore for a while.
Hi everyone, I've been reading the forum threads - very helpful - but no one has noted my exact problem, which is itchy bumps on the palms of my hands. Not red, or white, they seem to come from within. My Dr. said they are probably not bites, as insects do not break the skin of the palms (too thick), and thinks it might be an allergy (to WHAT???). He gave me some corticosteroid cream (this one has Fluocinonide), but it hasn't helped much yet (have used it for a little over a day).
I then noticed it was everywhere I had been sunburned or exposed to the sun, but not anywhere that my bathing suit was covering. The rash is terribly itchy and it's very small flesh colored bumps. The rash is the worst where the most severe part of my sunburn was, which lead me to believe this was something caused by the sunburn. Does anyone know what this is? Is it something I should go to the doctor for?
Before these symptoms began I'd had sex at least twice with my girlfriend after she had a yeast infection but only after we thought she had cured it. Have been using clotrimazole 1% mixed with a few drops of vinegar for a few days now with mixed results. It helps the burn/itch for a few hours but all symptoms return eventually. I noticed a couple of other posts here were very similar, right down to he ear lobe and knuckle. What might this be? STD? Yeast Infection?
Does anyone else think these itchy crusty ears are related to nerves? I had severe itchy ear problems when I was taking finals and moving off to college.. now, 40 years later with my husband very sick it is recurring. Q-tips provide relief but add to the watery problem. I have found that LANOLIN works really well for softening the crusting and also the itch. I've had to use otic neosporin for infections that result from my endless digging.
