s mostly my head that is itchy but so is my body. I have no hives or rashes or scaly skin. Dermatologist gave me a medicated shampoo and said it could be dermatitis. It doesn't help at all. Already went through 2 bottles of it. I am beside myself. Can I have something wrong with me internally? Can stress cause this itching? I take benedry, but it doesn't help. I have cortizone cream but doesn't help. Don't know what to do. Any answers out there???
Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
The itch is intense and even more so when I rub the skin. The skin gets red around the scabs at the end of the day. Taking a shower is an ordeal. It's really hard not to scratch and so I just rub the scabs but there's no relief.
They are spreading and there's nothing working. I mean the creams against itchiness work when I apply them but the scabs are not getting less itchy nor less small afterwards. I have scabs of all sizes and it's started over a month ago.

i have bumps that keep appering on my body, like between my legs, my underarms, my hips, sometimes on my stomach but always surrounding my bellybutton. I have hypothyroidism and have been told by an allergist that my skin itching is due to the thryroid. I wake up almost every morning with my skin itchy and red and can't see to control it.
