Itchy skin sore muscles

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy skin sore muscles

sore

For about the past two weeks, my skin has been very itchie. It doesn't look like a common rash. It's also not in one targeted spot. I itch everywhere, but at different times. My feet and hips could be itching. Or my hands and head. It's different body parts at different times. The place that itches looks red. There is almost like a raised white bump. Not a perfect circle. Some are oval or square. Some will be 1/2 an inch long.
i went to the clinic they took a swab on the sore and a blood test and the result was that it wasnt herpes it was a bacterial infection due to my poor personal hygene( i am not circumcised) so they gave me meds and the itch and sores went away months later i developed a sore inside my mouth, i thought it was a canker sore because it wasnt a cluster like a cold sore but when a sore healed another would come inside but in a different area inside the mouth.
If I give it a scratch, the internal area becomes sore, almost like I have torn a muscle. There is no rash, redness, broken skin, ingrown hairs etc, I don't sweat a huge amount and I can't really find a lump (especially not one that hurts). I don't think I've been lifting anything. When I lift / strech the arm up there is disomfort but I struggle to pinpoint exactly where in my armpit the pain is.
Taking LOTS of multivitamins seems to help this some. I also have very sore joints, muscle spasms, aches and pains nearly everywhere.
I have had herpes before, but with this pain I don't get any rash or blisters, just such sore skin. I also can't sit on the toilet especially if its cold. It sounds like if you are run down or stressed the pain comes. Not sure what to do about it though.
I have noticed that I am getting sores in the corners of my mouth. The skin breaks very easily and has been, for me, impossible to heal. Is this a side effect and if it is how can I treat it ? I have tried chapstick so it doesn't get irritated but it doesn't stop the sores from hurting. Any ideas ?
My 35 year old wife has had very sore muscles and the souls of her feet have been very itchy over the last 3 days. Does anyone know what could cause this combination of symptoms? It's mainly upper body muscle aches and her hands are especially sore. It feels like she has been gripping something for hours and they seem fatigued. Any insight or advice would be appreciated. It's off to the doctor tomorrow but in the meantime it would be great to have some ideas. Thanks.
A few days later a skin infection came out around my lips(not itchy, peeled wen i didnt put cream on it and neva bled). It seemed like stuck on skin and when i put cream on it, the skin was coming off exposing my normal skin underneath it. The skin infection cleared after three days of fuisidic cream treatment and my sore throat was gone but the glands are still there.
After reading all of the posts on the Upper Arm Itching problem, I decided to take one reader's advice and try something with Camphor Oil in it. I remembered I had some "Icy Cold/Hot" (sore muscle salve) in my medicine cabinet, and thought I would try that first, since a few post's had suggested using Ice. OMG - it worked! Within a few minutes, the itch that was driving me insane went away completely!
I too get pain but usually in muscles (rather than joints) but have a itchy feeling right before a bad occurance. Before I get nodosum erythema I itch real bad in the exact same spot as where it occurs. So, I have come to think that the itching is a autimmune response but from what I have read is common to several autoimmune diseases ( for example lupus and allergies).
My lower left abdomen is swollen and sore to the touch. The bump is itchy and also sore to the touch. Anyone know what's going on?? Any of you who have been to the doctor, can you share what you've been told?
My legs have been itchy every day since i was born. im 21 and i have always had itchy legs. when i was younger my family would all scream at me as once i started i couldnt seem to stop. the itching gets so bad that it annoys you and fustrates you and it becomes painfull. My dad used to smack my legs where it was itching and it used to help but it didnt last too long only for about 5-10 mins and i would be scratching again.
And although it's not painful, I've got itchy skin in both forearms, just above the wrists. If I bend my elbows while working at the laptop, they eventually become stiff and it's difficult to straighten them. I don't feel crepitus in the elbows but have had it in both shoulders for years due to rotator injuries. The crackling noises are still there plus a sharp neck pain if I bend my head a particular way. I run an average of 50 miles per week but don't to any weight work.
facial swelling and swelling around the eyes, edema, swollen tongue, dificulty concentrating, sore muscles, recurrent infections (The Rash), sleepiness in the afternoon, my eyelashes have started to fall out, low libido (almost nonexistent) low body temperature, sensitivity to cold, reduced sweating, very dry and itchy skin in the winter, and my voice is hoarse. Blood test results came back fine; I am healthy as a horse, according to the dr. TSH level is 2.17.
hi! in the past weeks my muscles have been very sore, starting with what i thought was food poisining. i was nausiated and my back muscles were very cramped. now that im not feeling sick my muscles in my back and neck have stayed sore and cramped. it had recently moved to my neck and the front of my neck almost down to my chest. and now i am experiencing the itch, my neck , my chest and my rib cage front and back, i cant stop itching!
The area becomes inflamed and thick when scratched. In addition I get inner thigh muscle soreness and pain at times. I have seen an infectious disease doctor and RN; they seem to think it's some kind of fungal infection, tinea cruris. I've asked them whether this is herpes and they said it doesn't sound or look like it. The irritation seems to worsen when something rubs against it. I've been putting terbinafide cream on it two times a day. I have also tried clotrimazole without luck.
I've been suffering with Fibromyalgia for supposedly 3yrs but only recently been diagnosed last June 09, so I'm quite new to all this, especially the skin conditions that go with it. I also have a skin rash which is different to the one on my hands, this is around my neck, shoulders and slightly on my chest, this one looks more like eczema, when I'm hot it flairs up and goes all bright red, which is soo embarrassing when I'm out.
So during the second week of june, I could very tired, fatigued, fever, sore throat, lost a lot of weight due to not eating cause of throat. My mouth and throat had white patches all over it. Had a strep test and mono test done twice. I was given medication to treat sore throat, it all got better. Went to the hospital, had X-rays done of my upper chest and everything was normal. During this time, my lymph nodes were beginning to swell in my neck.
Hmmm. I wouldn't say he bruises "easily" but he does get weird marks and sores on his skin. He also has stretch marks all across his lower back, which he developed last summer. He was evaluated for Marfan's syndrome due to his height but the consensus was that he doesn't have it. (no sign of detached retinas which they would expect to see at this age.) Both the cardiologist and our dermatologist didnt' think the stretch marks were concerning.
It is hard to describe but it hurts to touch a patch of skin lightly.? It does not hurt to press on the spot but only if I rub it or touch it lightly. It comes and goes daily and the area is about the size of a nickel. I do not feel any sort of lump and there is not visible signs on my skin. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. It is on the right breast on the top right where my clevage starts. I am 29.
it looks identical to the other in the mirror, as well. When I grab the skin there and lightly pinch, it is sore - so I don't think it's the muscles beneath the skin. It's only really SORE when my shirt presses on it or I squeeze my arm towards my body.. And of course when I fiddle with it. The pain seems to fluctuate, sometimes I won't notice it at all and other times I'll squeeze my arm towards me and it'll be very noticeable. Could stress be causing this?
Vulvar vestibulitis, vulvodynia, lichen sclerosis, vulvar dermatitis, lichen planus are all things that can cause itching. Get checked out by a dermatologist to rule out skin problems. If you have itchy skin or other skin problems somewhere on the rest of your body, you can get the same problem on your vulvar area and labial tissues. Getting checked out by a gyn that works with chronic pelvic pain issues will be key in ending your suffering.
I have blisters on several of my toes (on both feet) and it's not from athlete's foot or poor shoes. The blisters are extremely itchy/sore and are the size of a pea. I have one on each of the first 3 toes starting with my big toe. They are mostly on top of my toe between the last knuckle and my toenail, but one is on the side/tip of one toe. They are not true blisters in that there is no fluid sack. It is simply a very swollen and red hive. It seems like really firm and inflamed tissue.
You are most likely just very sore from having sex so often, your vagina kind of needs to get used to that sort of activity! It's just like using any muscle too much, it gets sore and needs rest. One day is not a long enough break--take a week or two and then only have sex maybe once a day for a while. White discharge can be normal, itching may be normal or may be a yeast infection, which is very normal to get.
Last 5 month i had an intercourse with sex worker with protection condom that is brandless..im not sure either its latex or what?... after a next day i had fever, sore throat , muscle pain almost a week..then i went for tested it shown negative for hiv.. so after the next 2week i had fever again ,ulcer and headache... soon a weeks all the illness gone.. so my health getting better ...
I was relieved to find someone else saying that they felt their lungs were itchy. When I look on the web there's a lot of itchy throats but I wanted to find itchy lungs. I think my problem may be to do with dust and cats. My cats come into my bedroom and I can sometimes see the dust motes in the air. I'm going to start a better regime of clearing dust because in the long term my lungs could suffer. Make sure where you sleep is as dust free as possible, this may help.
