Hello there, Of course itchy skin can be s symptoms of anxiety and stress. Have you ever see someone scratching himself really bad while he was under heavy stress? Everyone should at least saw that in a movie once in his life. But itchy skin could also be allergies so maybe it would be a cool idea to get tested. Anxiety is your body and mind overreacting to almost everything so even the feeling of your clothe on your skin might produce a itchy feeling.

s mostly my head that is itchy but so is my body. I have no hives or rashes or scaly skin. Dermatologist gave me a medicated shampoo and said it could be dermatitis. It doesn't help at all. Already went through 2 bottles of it. I am beside myself. Can I have something wrong with me internally? Can stress cause this itching? I take benedry, but it doesn't help. I have cortizone cream but doesn't help. Don't know what to do. Any answers out there???

Not so much a question, more like musing. I've read through as many of the postings as possible regarding unexplained itching. As a woman, I have come to believe that the itching is absolutely related to what I am ingesting. I have taken pains to change my diet, and exclude as many processed, GMO and non-organic foods as possible.

Please help me!! I am suffering very badly from itchy legs.. I have NO RASH!! It usually triggered from when i take a shower, and when i get out its like the sky caves in..my legs itch soooo bad! Every time I shower my skin on my legs and arms (and now increasingly on my lower back) gets incredibly itchy. There is no rash that appears on my skin and the itching lasts for around half an hour after I get out of the shower. It started when I was around 13 years old. I use Aveeno body wash for dry and itchy skin every time I shower, which is made from oatmeal - It helps a little. The itching is worse when I shave, but it helps when I use natural shaving gels that produce little foam.

When I had an appt. with my OB he prescribed me some sort of med that stopped the itching - oh that was a lifesaver! I have a rash that only appears around my midsection. The skin has raised pimple like bumps that sometimes are almost like whiteheads. The whole area is very itchy. The rash comes and goes. I have been experiencing this for nearly a year. I thought it was an allergic reaction to the buttons/snaps of my pants and coated them with clear nail polish. Didn't work. I have tried antifungal creams, cortisone creams and collidal oatmeal. What else can I possibly try? What could it be.

Hello, I have this non-itchy, red, dry rash on and above my eyelid. Theres a lot of discoloration now and i'm scared because I have no idea where it came from. The only thing I can thing of is i've been under a lot of anxiety.

It is so unbearable that you have to scratch the spot (which has no tell-tale rash or mark) and only after ripping the upper layer of skin off does the itching ease. I have the same problem now in two or three areas which are covered in scar tissue. This got really out of hand a couple of summers ago, after sitting in the spring sun. Doc says it's down to Scabies, but told my wife same thing when she nearly died from liver infection.
