My daughter has always had a face that got very red in the sun, especially under her eyes...even w/ sun screen. This summer she has had a bout of fifth's disease and now has the same sun sensitivity and an itchy rash on her arms and behind her knees. The fifth's disease was almost 2 months ago. The rash is definately worse in the sun but also seems to get worse when she is very warm. The rash is itchy and burns when I put sunscreen on her.
i when to see my doctor he tell me the a have anemia i dont want to say that is lupus but i dont have other answer them that what do u think it is ?
The rash that presented itself from being in the sun started out looking like pimples, but eventually turned very itchy, and presented on my forehead and ears. Not long thereafter, I began to have muscle aches...not limited to my joints, but what it feels like when you have the flu. This were usually mild (moderate to severe aches happened when I was more tired or stressed), and happened daily.
Everytime my skin is exposed to the sun I find myself developing a small collection of pinprick spots with a red rash on both arms. This rash seems to always occur in the same place (the part of my arm near my elbow and my chest area) and are often soo itchy. I'm worried I may have a form or skin cancer as I got sunburned a few years ago. I do suffer from hayfever and I have had reactions in the past. How can I treat them, or better yet how can I avoid getting them.
i have very itchy skin when it comes into contact with heat including bath water, i get a feeling of pins and needles and it affects my hands arms and chest, my chest has a rash where i keep scratching, i saw my gp 2 weeks ago who said i have roseca because my face was red and itching (t zone). last year i was in hospital for 4 weeks after having surgery to remove some of my bowel (i have crohn's) and i had peritinitius was very ill and was in intensive care.
The creme has a transdermal componant that causes it to penetrate the skin. The concentration of the over-the counter brand is low, however. If the problem interferes with your work, a short-term dose of prednisone orally would probably do the trick. Ask your physician.
For about two years I've been dealing with symptoms that cycle - itchy skin (legs, abdomen, chest), rash (abdomen, chest), achy and stiff joints (mainly knees, hips, back, neck, wrists), blurry vision, low-grade fevers, extreme fatique. At first the symptoms would last for about a week, then leave for a couple weeks. As time goes on, there are less good days than there are bad days - typically 3-4 days of symptoms, then just general fatique and achiness for a couple days.
t know if I am affected by the lack of sunlight and coldness (plus the stress of the Christmas season), my itchy joint and skin are acting up. My face feels buring and cracking. When I googled itchy joint, it popped up autoimmune disease. Wow. this is so right on.
Whether it is stresses from food, weather, emotion..., our bodies are so sensitive. I hate this. I go for massage once a week, and I find it helps. Thanks for this forum.
my grandma has been experiencing this skin infection for more than a year. it is itchy and painful sometimes. it appears on the upper back (shoulder), middle of her back, her chest, and both her upper arms. does anyone have any idea what disease it is? the local doctor has prescribed a cream to be applied on but it is not working. https://imgur.
Hot woman - not the way it is percieved.....I am SO SICK of people asking where I have been because I'm sunburned!!! I am (or was) pale as an ENGLISH GHOST AT CHRISTMAS from 2004 and before! Now, my chest, face, arms, and back (in that order) get red, itchy, and I stand way out in a crowd or even in a group of one!
My cuticles on both pinky fingers have a different texture of skin, thick, hard and dark and itchy. And my clitoris hood itchy even with Nystatin cream it still brothers me, with heavy discharge. I have had abnormal periods since puberty. When I first started my menstrual I bleed everyday for an whole year, heavily. After that year they just come at any given moment sometimes I can go 6 months without seeing one. I have kids so conception wasn't a problem.
Autoimmune disorders like lupus can also cause red blotches. There are many skin rashes and infections which can mimic each other in appearance. It is best to get yourself checked by a dermatologist. Pimple like thing on the scrotum could be due to folliculitis, ingrown hair. Application of Neosporin ointment may help. If the symptoms are severe seek the opinion of a dermatologist. Hope it helps.

So I have this recurrent facial rash which has been given about five different diagnoses. Basically, it starts with itchy flaky skin before progressing to what you see in the photos (although thankfully not often as bad as this). I can't seem to link it to anything in particular.
Any advice or help much appreciated.
Then also have your thyroid tested also by blood. Overactive thyroid can cause the skin to feel itchy, and burning. So can hormones.
Then i would get a full bloodcount done also including liver function tests.
The liver can make the skin itch.
Have you had any testing for this problem, if so post the results so i can take a look please.
If a doctor suspects this condition, a skin biopsy needs to be done to confirm the diagnosis because other conditions can look like discoid lupus erythematosus. If the skin biopsy shows discoid lupus erythematosus, then further blood testing may be indicated."

The symptoms are suggestive of hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.
Sometimes the treatment for hives i.e. antihistaminics and steroids have to be taken for few weeks like 4-6 weeks.
I went to the dermatologist and he said it looked a bit like ring-worm, but also this other skin disorder,(I can not remember the name). He did a biopsy and it came back with traces of both Lupus and this skin disorder (non-fungi). Since Lupus-AutoImmune disease runs in my family, he did another biopsy for Lupus and it came back negative.
It has since spread to my ear, across my shoulders, lower left back, right arm. It starts off as a red bump, then turns itchy and then turns into a sore.
my son has small raised "bumps" under skin on palm of hand peeling of fingertip skin accompanied by tingling sensation in fingertips, very itchy and it hurts as he says there is a family history of severe eczema and of lupus Can you give us some insight as to what this might be
