There is a sandy-grainy like build up on my scalp This is also accompanied by an itch. Even after I wash my hair, the grainy like build up is still there. It is NOT flaky what so ever. My hair has also started to fall out and at the end of my hair, a white little grain is at the end. hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations.
My son has a black growth on his scalp that flakes, itches and at times bleeds. He has been to dermatologists, but has not had relief -- he has no medical insurance, so it isn't feasible to keep trying new doctors. Any help in over the counter drugs.
i used t-gel shampoo (nuetogenia--the spelling, i know) found at wal-mart for the itchy scalp that itches and bleeds and heals and i scratch it again. maybe try that. i bought one for my friend because he had the same problem, and he said it stopped.
Hi, This could be seborrhoeic dermatitis. It is a skin disorder affecting the scalp, face, and trunk causing scaly, flaky, itchy, red skin. It particularly affects the sebum-gland rich areas of skin. Side effects to inflammation may include temporary hair loss. If severe outbreaks are untreated for extended intervals, permanent hair loss may result, because of damage to hair follicles. http://en.wikipedia.
Hello, This growth on the back of neck which bleeds on picking up and is non itchy has been present for many years. Hence it makes sense to get it examined from a dermatologist as from the symptoms it looks like benign vascular growth of skin. It may need biopsy skin to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
i have had problems with my scalp, I went to a beauty supply store where they have alot more types of shampoo and conditioner, i suggest using this shampoo called - ion clear-t dual action shampoo (it's pretty much for scalp issues such as oily scalp, dry scalp dandruff, psoriasis..) and then this conditioner called american classic tea tree conditioner.. it's absolutely amazing, the first time i used it i could FEEL the difference, it was like such a relief to my scalp.
It is spreading, has been intensely itchy, it is wet sometimes, like it is weeping and there are large flakes of skin that slough off daily. Sometimes it bleeds a tiny bit. The area seems raised from the rest of scalp. I also think it is important to note, it has a foul odor. It is litterally driving me insane. Now, in the past few weeks, in my left ear canal, there is another patch of the same thing! It is litterally inside my ear canal.
I didn't really consider it as OCD at first, having just chalked it up to the increasing hot wheather which makes my skin {and scalp} really itchy from all the sweat but the fact that I can't seem to knock it off makes me question whether or not it could be a compulsive problem. Mostly I end up picking right near the crown of my head and it to gives me this sort of trance-ish like feeling. It's weird though because it's like, my head feels really gross unless I get all the scabs out of it.
I check her throughly for a few days to make sure it was not lice, I have washed her hair over and over with different shampoos that are not medicated, now I have noticed small bumps on her scalp. My scalp is now very ichy, and my husband says he is starting to feel his scalp is ichy. Could this be scabies? What is scabies? What are the symptons and how does one get scabies? Would appreciate any information.
OH THAT ITCH!!!! Itchy here, itchy there, itchy everywhere Lololol!!! I get that itch in my scalp, chin and neck area. What works is a cool cloth or pack sometimes ice and some lotion. Maybe it might work for you cause that itchy can drive you CRAZY!!
all itchy arm sufferers....please look into brachioradial pruritus. My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery pills..my list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs.
For the past three months I have suffered with these small pimple like bumps on my body that are insanely itchy!!! They come up pretty quickly, and are gone soon after (but more come up in other places) and become really itchy, I scratch them so much my skin bleeds and bruises. I can hardly sleep because the itching keeps me awake, or once I finally sleep I wake up 100 times to scratch!
Hello, These can be due to folliculitis scalp or perifolliculitis scalp. Perifolliculitis is characterised by small, very itchy pustules within the scalp, often most troublesome on the frontal hairline. The scalp should be washed with a mild normal shampoo as often as desired. Antidandruff shampoos containing antifungal agents such as ketoconazole or ciclopirox are sometimes helpful. Apart from that you need topical and oral antibiotics, antihistamines, oral steroids and topical tretinoin.
I have itching on me soles of my feet that I could take a knife to and just itch till it bleeds. I am also getting it on my hands. My dermatologist thinks it is Lichen Planus which is an autoimmune disorder. I had it 13 years ago and she said I was lucky because some people never get rid of it. I am going for a biopsy in 2 weeks and they will know for sure. Look it up and see and tell your doctor to take a biopsy so you know for sure.
I realized that it's the moisture that makes me itchy. All my doctors tell me that I should moisturize my vaginal area and apply creams and Vaseline because they think I could have eczema. But when I do that, I keep itching. Only after a year of suffering did i stop listening to the doctors and tried keeping it dry. Not more dry than the rest of my body, but equally dry. After I shower, I would let it air dry and then apply baby powder which absorbs the moisture. 5. ACupUNTURE!
At first I thought it may be bed-bugs, but it just hasn't gone away... I'm praying every day that it isn't herpes... I have red itchy bumps all around my thigh areas, my buttocks and one one the head of my penis. Also, they have moved all throughout my body, and I am having little one's show up between my fingers and whatnot. I also thought it was because of the couch I was sleeping on, but recently I cleaned everything and got a bed, and I still can't sleep due to the itch.
The dry scalp is something different. He's had a dry scalp and dandruf for a long time. Then he started with this patch that won't grow, actually now it's two patches that won't grow. Doctor thought it was ringworm but the cultures show no fungal growth. Meaning it's not ringworm. He has to stay on the antibiotic just incase they start to see something grow but so far it's not ringworm. That's good cause ringworm is gross but now he has to see a dermatologist. Aaaaauuuugggghhhh!
Recently,it has spread to the chin area and bothers him more now.It is also more itchy and actually bleeds sometimes. We took him to our GP and a diagnosis of childhood acne was suggested. He was prescribed Fucidin H which has offered no relief and is due to see a dermatologist soon.Just today,I also noticed a small little pimple on his lip.It is bothering him a lot and we are anxious to get to the bottom of it.
Last week i noticed on the base of her neck a rash was starting so i just kept on with what the dermatologist said and the rash continued down her whole back to her bottom and the back of her knees as well as the inside of her elbows. I have also noticed on her scalp that it is starting to flake like dandruff. We have tried everything from the sensitive soaps to everything our dermatologist says and we are just kindof stuck.
I have very dry skin around the area of my butthole. It is so dry, that it bleeds on occasion and itches like crazy. I have gone to the Dr. before and have been prescribed creams and pills etc, but no luck. I have taken an over the counter liquid for pinworms (I know, gross) but that did not work either. does anyone else have this issue and what have you done to clear it up? It is mainly during the evening and night time hours when I am asleep that it happens the worst. HELP!
On my hands I have been developing little red hives with a raised white base and a red dot that are very itchy. I scratch them and a red dot appears in the Center, breaks open and bleeds. Another HUGE concern of mine is that I have suddenly undergone a sever sudden hair loss. I have developed a bit of bald spot and hair is coming out in the shower in clumps. And falls out regularly throughout the day.
i am 3 weeks post tx and still have some rash on my scalp and some of my hair continues to fall out. i am to assume that the rash on my scalp is ribavirin rash. it itches alot and once i scratch it gets flared up and i'm scratching all day. sometimes i scratch till it bleeds. i know i shouldn't but it just drives me crazy. i spent money on nioxin shampoo and others and they were no different then regular baby shampoo except they smelt mediciny.
I started getting these itchy, red, bumps on my head that just bleed when I scratch them, and the yellowish scabs would come off. I tried different shampoos (MADE for seborrheic dermatitis) and nothing has helped. It really is annoying.. Then I noticed that I get these red bumps on my legs. I pick at them, which I know is doing no good, and they scab over too. They seem a lot like my cousin's legs- she has folliculitis. So I chalked that up to just getting that from her.
Since I was 10 years old, I developed this horrible skin condition. Firstly it started off as red and itchy patches on my inside bits of my arms and a bit on my chest. I didn't suffer too much but it got worse in winter. But now its gotten even worse. Not only do I have it on my arms still but now I have a constantly flaky scalp and the skin on my face is ALWAYS very red and very very flaky. It really annoys me and I know its not outbreaks because of stress allergies etc.
She spends much of her day itching her skin. She itches so badly that she scratches herself until she bleeds. Also, she has growths on her legs that look like volcano-shaped mounds with something growing out of the top. Some are as large as an eraser on a pencil. When dermatologists (we have seen 5 different ones) do a biopsy they tell me that they are squamos cell cancers. At first, I had the dermotologists remove the bumps. Now I have given up because she just grows more.
does anyone have any suggestions of medication, lotions or anything else that might help. This is the one symptom that really, really is hard to live with.
itchy after shower and at night, severe itching of the scalp, itchy rash on eyelids, itch inside ears, rash on face, rash between toes and fingers, tiny itchy bumps all over body, red itchy (shiny) bumps on chest that don't go away but flare up and itch every few weeks. It did itch one time for a couple/few weeks under my ball sack, no sores, just raw looking skin that itched. No discharge from my penis or burning when peeing. Doctor said it was eczema.
He told me not to loose my sleep and relax. He also said that could be form my scalp psoriasis. Still looking for reassurance, I went back to my GP, he said the same thing. Run my complete blood panel, everything came back normal. I became obsesses why it is still there because I am scared I have cancer. I live in constant fear. I have itchy throat since couple of weeks (ac?
