itchy scalp relief

t have scaly, flaky, itchy, red skin; just itchy scalp and some pimples. I also have had no hair loss; if only I could on my legs and underarms, ha ha. That's why I asked if it could be related to rosacea. Has anyone every heard of rosacea spreading to the scalp; I know it can affect your eyes.

I also have had the problem with an itchy scalp that feels like it is burning. I have to use shampoo/conditioner that does not contain soy protein or any type of soy. I hope you get some relief.....

My skin was extremely dry I tried coconut oil tummyy butter aveeno lotion and baby oil nothing helped so I started using something called "mothers friend" it works amazing got it from a local pharmacy but it can be ordered online and is only $8. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water also it helps. For my hair ive been using mane and tail horse shampoo.

Then my forehead, around my left eye and a small portion of my scalp became very itchy - burns when I scratch it. There are NO visible signs of a problem but it is very itchy. I saw my Dr. who prescribed me eye drops and augmentin. She thought it was a bacterial infection. I have been on the meds for almost a week with NO relief. My skin and eye look fine but the itching is unbearable. I also can't sleep on the left side of my face...it feels like little needles are poking me.

Arms covered in really itchy red what looks like hives. Started last week now has spread to my legs and back, even one on my face. Have used 2% hydrocortisone, Benedril, Anthisan, chamomile oil, lavender oil, hemp oil, the green bottle gold bond, Eucerin. Dr. suggested that I take some Claritin so I'm on my third day with little relief. This was not one of my sx on my first round of tx. Will call Dr. on monday. Has anyone had these terrible itchies? Any suggestions?

m a beautician but my scalp looks like its BURNED it has dry spots not sure why ? not sure if its an allergy to something but my scalp is itchy burning and scabby and raw have thyroid goitors more problems no answers?

But now, I still have itching where the rash was, and an intensely itchy scalp! I always wear a hat in the sun, so I dont think my scalp was ever sun-burned. The itch is not that unpleasant, kind of like the itch one would get, from an opiate, so I havent been taking any more anti-itch pills, because I avoid extra meds, as a genreral principle, in my daily life.

I have had the same problem!! After a couple years of itchy scalp I had a big bout of hair loss it's didn't have patches but thinned out a LOT, then it stopped, I switched back to Pantene because it gave it more support and started biotin for hair growth ... now I am having all over itchy skin!! Going crazy btw... look into over growth of yeast!! Try a good digestive cleanse and see a naturopath Dr... my boss swears by the "eat right for your blood type" diet.. check it out!!

I had bumps like mosquito bites and rashes that itched, my injection sites were often itchy, my scalp drove me crazy one month with itchy bumps, and there were places with no rashes or lumps that itched. I often scratched til I bled and there were places I rubbed so hard I removed all the hair. I tried lots of things - Aveeno colloidal oatmeal baths, Gold Bond medicated cream (brought a nice cooling effect), drank lots of water, placed a humidifier in my room.

Like Brianmo I've tried it all. I tried to keep from scratching cause hair falls out even faster. I use my steroid cream occasionally too. It's Krazy itchy w wig on. I hope you find some relief. Is it worse at the base of your neck? Looks like dandruff. Yikes?

hi can any one give me some advise, a few weeks ago istarted to have a very itchy scalp and burning sensation its driving me in sane , i went to doctors and they gave me antibiotics which did nothing . i went back and they gave me a steroid lotion and told me to use a coal tar shampoo which i have done but to no avail. now my doctor says they dont know what else to give me that they are baffled . i just wish i could find something that would cool my head down and give me some relief.

I'm on victrelis triple therapy and just recently started to develop really itchy scalp. Feeling like I want to scratch it right off. Any advice?

s absolutely amazing, the first time i used it i could FEEL the difference, it was like such a relief to my scalp. The first one whatever is in it soothes my scalp and then the tea tree oil does something else that helps, no idea what but it feels so much better. Hope that helps a little bit!!

Itchy bellies can mean skin stretching and you know what that means!!! Use some good thick lotion and rub it in after shower and one other time during the day. I personally use cocoa butter, or shea butter with vitamin E....

OH THAT ITCH!!!! Itchy here, itchy there, itchy everywhere Lololol!!! I get that itch in my scalp, chin and neck area. What works is a cool cloth or pack sometimes ice and some lotion. Maybe it might work for you cause that itchy can drive you CRAZY!!
