The itchiness remained and travelled all over my face. Only my eyelids showed visible flakes while the rest of my face just turned blushed from the scratching. It really feels inflammed. It's been off and on and hydrocortisone helps with the itchiness and the swelling, but it's not getting rid of it. I'm beginning to feel the itchiness on my neck and behind my ear.
There are two important symptoms that I want you to pay attention to:
1) the rash is ONLY affecting ONE eye. This is weird. Usually allergies affect both eyes.
2) It's WRINKLY. The wrinkledness is NOT from scratching or contact; I've been careful not to touch or rub my eyelids.
3) The small region of flaky, wrinkly skin, the size of a pea, appeared under my brow maybe more than a week ago and stayed that way for several days until spreading.
But just last sun, I rubbed some onto my eyelids and facial rashes started to explode. They were not itchy at first but started to spread and becoming very itchy. My Gp said its contact dermatitis. But how could it be as I have been using it for 3 months? I put hydrocortisone cream on them but nothing seems to subside. Now my whole face is covered with itchy swell rashes. What should I do? Could I become allergy to retinol out of a sudden?
Over the past few weeks I have developed itchy, red, burning, scaly, puffy eyelids. I thought that maybe it was my make-up (which I don't often use) so I haven't put any on in several days. However, the problem seems to be getting worse. Worst of all is my upper eyelids have become wrinkly and droopy (which I imagine is due to the puffiness?).
I tried putting a thin coat of benedryl cream on them and it helped a tiny bit with the itching.

Basically about 2 weeks ago i noticed red, dry, scaly patches around the outside of my face and on my neck it then got worse and spread over my face and onto my eyelids. I went to the doctors as i thought i had a allergic reaction and he said it was due to tonsilitis. I have been taking antibiotics for over 1 week now and it has appeared to look better, although on my neck and eylids it is not getting any better, if anything it is redder and more scaly.
I am a 29 y/o male, have a history of red, itchy, flaky eyelids. Recently the redness and flakiness have progressed to cover my cheeks, eyebrows, middle of forehead. The itchiness is now subsided and I am left with very noticeable hypopigmentation in these affected areas. There is a sharp line on both cheeks demarcating the normal area from the affected area. I am 33 and have the same thing as the daughter of "At Wit's End". However, I'm not so concerned about the rash on my forehead as I am about my swollen eyelids. If it's acne, then why do my (our) eyelids swell? I happen to use a Clearasil cream as well. I wonder if that has something to do with it? I also have allergies to ragweed, dust mites, fragrance, etc. and take Claritin just about everyday.
Yes, I did 2 1/2 years ago. I'm a 35 yr old woman who lives a pretty clean lifestyle. That's right I'm boring as hell and managed to get this. I was lucky in that my dermatologist identified this immediatley by taking a biopsy. I had it for about 1 full year with terrible continuous breakouts. It got so bad it reached my eyelids. My derm explained that because eyebrows naturally protect the eyelids from the sun it is common for it to appear on the eyelids. How did I get it?
I have had a "rash" that started on my chin, and has now spread across my face and into my ears. It is very itchy and has watery blisters that dry up and flake off (my skin is very red around this area). I've seen my GP and a dermotologist to no avail. Anyone have any suggetions?
t wear any makeup and for the better part of the time ive been washing my face with Cethaphil facewash. If i use any lotion on my face its Neutrgena oil-free for sensitive skin, but a the same time i try to avoid the area around my eyes. I also take daily claritan and vitamins. I've gone to the doctor several times for this and i was told it was an allergy to something. Tried changing soaps, detergents, monitoring my diet, and the other standard reccomendations to no avail.
my eyelids are itchy and flakey, recently heard from one of my mom's friend in a different country that she really enjoys using aloe vera cream and wanted us to buy her some here and ship them to her. i've personally never heard of such cream and had a hard time trying to find some, when finally we stumbled upon some at GNC for under $2!! dirty cheap if you ask me,, and we bought a whole case load...
They swell near the lashes, mostly on the upper eyelids. That is the only symptom. They are not red, itchy, scaly, flakey, or dry. Just swollen.
I went to a derm, who said that my body probably associated the virus I had with the chemicals in all the products above, so when I use them my body reacts. Same with the animals and pollen. She told me to avoid all for 6 weeks, and then my immune system would "forget" to react to all of the above.
Over the past few weeks I’ve developed a very dry texture irritation on my lips and my eyelids and certain parts of my face. These areas are never red but can be itchy at times. And it does cause my eyes to swell/puff up. The texture is hardly visible to the naked eye, mostly by touch. I have had these red spots on both of my eyelids for at least six months now. They never itch or hurt, never any puss or leaking and they never get any bigger, they just seem to dry over and peel about once every couple of days but never go away. They seem to fade once in a while but never completely go away. I read that it could be a fungal infection from to much yeast so I stopped eating bread of any kind for a week and a half but no change.
I have had this rash on and off for the last few months. As of yesterday it will not go away. It is all over my cheeks and chin and nose and some on my forehead. It's not really itchy. I have taken allergy medicine and Benadryl but it hasn't helped. It isn't really like hives. Almost looks like acne but the bumps are all the same size and they're just red no white heads or anything. You can't really even feel them. It's almost as if they're under the skin.
s doing it. My face is hot to the touch and flaming red. I have spots of rash all over my face. It has left and came back several times. It itches and peals . Are they putting something different in their products ? I'm afraid it will scar my face. I've never had any acne or other skin problems . Is anyone else having this problem ? My eyes are crazy itchy - they are red in the inside corners and a bit swollen. I have a red itchy rash over various parts of my body and now it's moved onto my face (not pretty). The rash patches are almost always circular and of varying sizes. They never completely disappear but they are not always red and itchy - some are good one day - paler - and the next they are back to red and incredibly itchy.
I know for sure that this is not psoriasis or eczema.
Does anyone know what might cause a swollen face on an 8 yr. old? my son't face swells up just out of the blue every so often. It does not turn red or blotchy, and does not have a rash. he has also gained a lot of weight, but i don't know if that has anything to do with this. ???
