Itchy red rash on face eyelids

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy red rash on face eyelids

rash

I previously suffered from eczema on my arms and legs, but it has been dormant for at least 10 years now. I now have rash on my eyelids and where my nostrils meet my face (does this make sense??). It itches a lot, periodically, but does not feel like the same incessant eczema itch. It seems extremely itchy closer to my eyelashes rather than just my whole eyelid.
- I've had rashes across my face for the past 2.5 months - broken, red, oozing skin around my mouth, cheeks and forehead. very painful. - red, itchy, swollen, and weeping rash (and darkened skin) all around my eyes and eyelids. very itchy. - I've seen 2 dermatologists, they diagnosed excema for the rashes not around my eyes. they guessed that around my eyes I have some sort of contact or allergic dermatitis.
It cleared up, but the day after I stopped taking the steroid, the red itchy rash came back. My doc gave me a topical steriod and this seems to keep the inflammation down, though it still itches. Now the skin on my face is incredibly dry, and I have to moisturize it frequently during the day. I basically had to change my whole skin care routine, now using gentle moisturizing products, as opposed to the oil and acne fighting products I had to use before.
I am 51 years old and have never had wrinkles around my eyes or on my face until now. My lids now have wrinkles and droopiness. Also sometimes I have a rash on my face around my right eye. The skin gets red, dry and itchy. I've always looked very young for my age, and I'm afraid this condition is beginning to age me quickly ! Please help ! Any suggestions would be appreciated..
I have recently developed an itchy rash on my face, mostly above my eyes on the eyelids, around my nose and mouth. I have had to switch the brand of cosmetics I use twice before (8 years ago and 2 years ago; but I have had very good luck with the current brand. I have also noticed that my orthocyclen bcp's have kept me blemish free for several years now. I noticed that this current rash started about the same time we acquired a family pet poodle. Could the dog be causing my rash?
However, I'm not so concerned about the rash on my forehead as I am about my swollen eyelids. If it's acne, then why do my (our) eyelids swell? I happen to use a Clearasil cream as well. I wonder if that has something to do with it? I also have allergies to ragweed, dust mites, fragrance, etc. and take Claritin just about everyday. I have also been wearing a wool hat with fleece on the inside for the past month or so, which is another strange coincidence.
) I'm a 26 year old female and for a few months now I have had a rectangular patch of dry, flaky skin on my eyelid (measuring about 2cm by 1cm, it really looks like a rectangle) sometimes its red and sometimes quite itchy. I havent changed any of my usual products, in fact I've started using eye creams to help soothe the problem and while im at home and overnight I use an antibiotic ointment on it (more because i feel like it helps keep the area moist).
However, the skin underneath my eyes, eyelids, lips, around mouth, and a little on my forehead get VERY dry, itchy and red. If I mess with my eyes they get more and more red and sometimes are a little swollen when I wake up in the morning. I understand that it is also winter so the change in temperature and the fact that I live in Iowa may have something to do with it. I have a history of some eczema but not for quite a while.
I have red, itchy blotches all over both my eyelids, right side of face, lower back and stomach. what do i have?
Hey i have a red itchy rash on my face mostly on my chin, but it spreads to my cheeks and the tops of my eyelids. i thought it could be a reaction from the flu shot i took like 2 weeks ago but the things i read said that it will happen with min. or hours after taking the shot....i have been broke out for 2 days now and i am itching soo bad can some one help me please??
My eyes are certainly itchy, mainly on the upper eyelids, with the redness sometimes extending to the skin on my face by the tear ducts. As I'm a man, external factors like make up are not a factor, nor are contacts. My eyeballs themselves feel fine. I notice that when running, sweat is sometimes highly irritant and causes my skin to really burn. I would say my skin has a tendency to dryness, with very mild eczema.
Just finished 24 week treatment. Did labs this week. All the sudden my eyelids are red and itch. Has anyone had this problem and what did they do about it?
I have really tiny bumps in (what appears to be) EVERY single poor all over my face...then their are also tiny red bumps in areas (not acne..at least not most) on my face as well. My skin is dry and itchy. Especially around my eyelids. My eyelids and the skin around my eyes..were red and grossly swollen and sore..the swelling has finally gone down and now I can feel there are even smaller bumps on those areas (it feels like sandpaper to the touch) and sadly...

My balls and scrotom and pubic hair has become itchy though. i dont know wat i have if its an std or not but im really worried, please help????????
If it is a definitive round, scaly, red/white, itchy patch it is most likely a fungal rash. I am a medical student currently on my dermatology rotation. I have seen many patients come in with these symptoms. I know many people are not able to afford to go to a dermatologist, so I will try to give the best advice and information I possibly can. The best at-home treatment I can recommend is butenafine hydrochloride 1% cream. Butenafine hydrochloride is an antifungal agent.
Most hives are not allergic, run their course, and disappear as mysteriously as they came. Other conditions that lead to itchy skin with an itchy rash on the body are Eczema and contact dermatitis. ).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites).
Ear and nose still had some rashes. But, left eye started getting red and swollen. So now, both eyes are red (it wasn't as red before), almost swollen shut, pressure on the face from the swelling, dry, and right eye is scaly from dryness. Also, 2 additional smal itchy rashes (weeping also) on arms, and just recently, few itchy red patches on neck (not weeping). Went to Doctor #4 who said it's allergies.
The internet is great. I woke up yesterday with itchy ankles -- no rash, just itch. Today it is even worse and now I have momentary itches all over, but the ankles & legs are the worst. I live in Virginia -- don't know if geography has anything to do with it. I have been looking around the internet for possible causes, and found this site. Hope we can figure this out -- this itching business will drive you crazy and I have only itched for a little over a day!!!
about 4 months ago i started with a small red scabby look above my left eyelid as the time went by it is spreading on my eyelid, it looks red and flakey and yes it itches sometimes, it looks horrible and i want it to go away, it makes me sad because i love wearing makeup and i have stopped do to the look, i also thought it was the makeup doing that but i am not sure :( - i dont know what to do - and i just started this new job and cannot afford to take off for a dermatoligist until i complete my
This time, again only one side of my face (the same side) but behind my ears was extremely itchy and there is a red rash there. My one eye is very swollen as is my sinus on that side. I look like I have bells palsy but it's not because of the itching and swelling. It's not drooping. My ears are ringing. My neck and throat feel tight. The swelling and itching come quickly and then receed. Although it has not receeded yet from this third attack.
Just when I think a product is working, everything flares up again. The red itchy eyelids, the redness and puffiness around my lips, I am going crazy. At one point I thought it was my boyfriend because I had just started seeing him, but that has been ruled out. I have spent so much money on dealing with this. Has anyone tried the KENALOG shot like I have read in a previous post? I am interested in finding out about this. I have also read about Biotin being a good thing to take.
I have had a very red, itchy rash in various parts of my body for a month and a half, supposedly caused by an allergic reaction. The rash is around my eyes (upper and lower eyelids, extending to the brow ridge), around my mouth, under my left armpit, on my inner thighs, and on my left nipple. The rash is very red and has clearly defined borders. The rash oozes clear fluid and forms blisters. Sometimes the rash on my eyes is so swollen, I am unable to see and cannot drive to work.
This morning, I washed and applied some more cream. The red rash seems slightly worse. It is on more of my face, maybe even across my forehead. It is on my eyelids. My doctor is not on-call. What should I do?
Could this be rosacea related? Also, does rosacea itch and burn at times? I am asking because I am concerned my red rashy face may be something else as the doctors have had me do all the autoimmune blood tests due to the chronic conjunctivitis. I was given steroid cream and protopic for the itchy areas of the face and they both work....I am 38/F otherwise in good health except for the red unhappy eye.
However, i have just acquired a new job working in an office and since then I am now suffering with ver itchy and red eyelids and a red and flaky nose but only on one side, the other side of the nose is perfectly normal. I have never been sure that I was diagnosed correctly as having Psoriasis as my symptons were more of a rash nature. I have spent hundreds of pounds on treatment and am unable to find anything that can combat whatever it is I've got.
This morning I woke up with my face feeling itchy along the lower part of the right hand side, along/under the jaw and it is red. There are no bumps as of yet, the skin is soft and smooth, but it feels warm to the touch. It is only on the right hand side of my face as of now. For all the other breakouts there was no redness alone first. I always had the bumps or whiteheads at the same time.
