Itchy rash lower legs

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy rash lower legs

rash

At times it was so bad it kept me up all night, and I had scratches all over my lower legs. No rash, just itchy. I tried all kinds of ointments pills and cremes, and nothing worked. In one of these forums it was suggested to try cold water or ice packs. Another suggestion was Sarna Anti-Itch Lotion. These two suggestions worked for me. I used ice packs in the beginning, and then I started a cold water rinse on my lower legs with a hand held shower after my normal shower.
I am not sure if this is eczema but every winter I get itchiness on my lower legs that drives me crazy I have been to several dermatologsits but it will not subside I have tried every moisturizer and soap there is olive oil shea butter too what is this and how can I get rid of it???
For about a month or so I would get VERY itchy legs, especially my lower legs, after showers. Worse yet I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching like mad! I found this site and tried Hydrocortizone cream as suggested in a comment here. It worked at first, but still I woke up itching like crazy. I tried different itch relief lotions that contain oatmeal but they were of no avail.
Hi I'm so glad to hear others suffer with the itchy legs; no rash problem. I've suffered from this for 20+ years and think I've solved the problem for me. My lower legs tend to itch after a morning shower (or if water even touches my legs!). This is an uncontrollable itch that lasts for about 20-30 minutes. My doctor could not suggest any reason for it. I have found that aerobic exercising first thing in the morning for about 20-30 minutes (I jog), then shower with no problems.
Im glad Im not the only one with "itchy" legs. I have had "itchy" legs for years. I have been told it was all in my head. And have tired almost everything for dry itchy skin. Its mostly my lower legs, the front and side. Sometimes its my upper leg. When they itch, it feels like they are itchy from the bones. I end up itching them so much that I tear my legs open, and usually get a faint scar. They seem dry usually, but are as smooth and soft as my hands are.
I have been dealing with itchy legs for over 15 years... and I am only 27! It is usually just my lower legs. I am so relieved to see that other people have my problem. My fiance thinks I am crazy I swear! And all my mom and doctor ever said was "put more lotion on". They just don't get it. It certainly can't be an allergic reaction... why would only my lower legs be allergic to something?
Help me please...
Hi, I have had for two months itchy red bumps [no rash] on my lower legs. They so not go away and itch very bad at times. Dr said it was eczema but not to sure. The DR took a swab to see if it was a bacteria waiting for the results tomorrow. I hope my immune system is OK. Any thoughts?
predisolone, and an oral antihistamine. The rash on my legs and forearms seems to be trying up and is not inflamed, but my back has gotten worse and is very itchy. Any suggestions? I don't have a fever and it doesn't look infected but it is very uncomfortable and I'm a little baffled as to how/why it is spreading. I do itch occasionally, but I'm trying my best not to.
A couple months ago the rash moved to my thys, which look like razor bumps.. it moved down my legs but there werent really bumps on my shins/calves.. but i noticed bumps on my feet lately. the bumps on my feet kind of look like warts though. i get bumps on my hands here and there but they look more like warts rather than the rest of my rash.. but they are still itchy.
A couple weeks ago I noticed a rash on my lower legs. It looked like a million freckles with a faint red background from my knee to my ankle and also a heavier patch on the outside of my right ankle. It didn't hurt, wasn't itchy, raised or anything. I only know I had it because I saw it. By the time I got to the Dr it was almost gone however I do still have a bit left. She had no idea what it was and did some blood work for my liver and also white count.
Hi, I have randomly developed this rash- it started on my lower legs and spread to my thighs and arms. It was on the front of my legs at first, but also occurs on the backs now as well.
I have small itchy spots on my lower legs primarily that appear suddenly at anytime of the day. They start out as small (1/8 inch or less) red spots, become itchy, and when I scratch, they become larger in diameter (1/4 to 1/2 inch)and raised. They do not bleed when I scratch, but clear fluid will come out of them. After a few days, they stop itching and will go away except for a scar left from scratching. It is not a rash. They don't appear as a series, but indiviudally.
There is no rash or any sign of irritation and is mostly on my lower legs and arms but sometimes can be on the upper. There is no itching on any other part of my body. The itching feels almost like pins and needles. It seems to get irritated after I shower or swim or my body temperature increases with exercise but mostly water is the common cause of it starting. However there are times when it will just start with nothing to irritate it.
I have had this non itchy rash spread from my lower arm to my wrist for over month. Since after noticing it i tried an antiseptic soap which did not work, i tried a face cleanser and then hydrocortisone cream. I used hydrocortisone for a week and then went to see my doctor because it didn't work. My Dr asked me to continue using the hydrocortisone cream for one more week, this I have done but rashes still present and i'm beginning to notice a few of this rashes on my chest. Help!!!!!
