I have had itchy dry palms for over a year and I have been told that it was stress eczema. I have been on medication for pain and that pain has lead to stress and depression I have seen at least 4 Docs. and it keeps coming back. Balms and butters help dryness and sometimes an anti hist. may help with itch. We live stress full lives and don't eat and sleep right. I hope you get some relief and try to de stress once in a while.
Three weeks I started having numbness in my left hand, I called my doctor and was placed on a course of Prednisone. I had to stop the course of treatment early due to side effects. The problem I am having now is, along with the numbness I am also waking up at night due to severe itching of the palms. I'm not sure if this MS related or something different, I just want some relief and sleep.
I recently had a terribly painful & itchy rash on my left hand only. I went to the dermatologists and had three doctors look at it and they could not figure out what caused it. I have not used any new cleaners, soap or lotion that would cause a skin irritation. They prescribed a $75 cream that cleared up the rash. Unfortunately my skin started peeling off in large sheets on the palms of my left hand.
for the last six month iam feeling severe burning in my both hands This discussion is related to burning and itching on palms and soles.
For a long time now i have had dry , flaky skin on my left hand and every now and then i will get these little itchy bumps all over it. I have tried alot of things but nothing even comes close. It all started in the joint of my thumb but after time it covered my whole hand all the way up to the sides of my fingers. What can i do to fix it. It doesn't seem to spread anywhere else it just stays on my left hand...
It did get much better for a while, and then very small blisters under the skin started to show up around the edge of the original rash, on both hands! They were itchy and because they are on my hand, would pop or break open and a clear fluid came out. They seemed to be going away and then continued to spread across my hand. It seems that the cycle is that they show up (take a couple of days to fully develop), then eventually pop and the skin left behind is very dry.
I may get one or two and the a wekk later get more each time on the left or right hand. could this be Herpes? Does Herpes appear in exactly the same place each time? Can it appear on both hand in various places? I have looked up things, and phompholyx looks similar, but mine does not itch at all!!!!! What could this be. I am paranoid of the whole herpes thing! I have no other symptoms elsewhere.
I have been getting this on my left hand only on middle finger & Its getting worse my whole arm & hand aches
Thank you Anna, Since my last corespondence I have been put on oral Prednisone therapy, each time the rash cleared up and then came back with a vengence, now it is on my other hand and on the sides of my fingers, and so itchy and even water hurts. I have been to 4 doctors and now I am going to see an allergist. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
This actually cleared up the patches around my knuckles/ back of my left hand. The one on the back of my left hand was huge. There was one small patch that did not seem to be effected though on the back of my right thumb. A week after I ran out of perscription for the antibiotic, the bumps everywhere else started reappearing. I continue to take the nystatin stuff (I have 3 weeks of it) But it doesnt seem to do anything at all. The patch on my thumb is getting huge.
For the last month I have been waking in the morning to an unusual very small white bump or bumps on my hands. Usually around my palms or on the palm facing side of my fingers. Sometimes the bump or bumps will become itchy and are usually tender to the touch. They are white but, sometimes appear like a red dot. At first I mistook it for a spider bite or something of that nature. After loads of research online, I am still left clueless as to what it could be.
Hi Thanks for writing to the forum! Well, itchy palms with tiny white blisters could be eczema, fungal infection, dermatitis, contact allergy with allergens like soap, chemicals etc. If you itch between fingers too, there are chances that it is scabies. There are many OTC scabies lotions which you can apply and see. It could be viral in origin—as a part of hand foot and mouth disease. Hope this helps. I think you should discuss these possibilities with a skin specialist.
But then I noticed that I was getting these spots all over my hands, mainly on the palms of my hands(at least 20 on each hand that seemed to spread with every nerve reckening moment) When I went to the doctor, they originally looked like small clear spots clumped together below between the front finger and middle finger on palm of hand. Doctor said it looked like flat warts. But never had these prior, until I took the antibiotics.
I have had the exact same issue going on with my index and forefinger on my left hand only. The lines are not just up and down, they run diagonol as well. This is accompanied by clear bumps under the skin and has been re-occuring every week for more than two years now. The dermatologist I saw said it was eczema and put me on Vanos but it isn't helping (over a month of using Vanos).
to say the least it is annoying and ugly and I have gotten to the point that I don't know what to take or do to help the situation. It is on my right hand mostly and just a little on my fore finger and on both feet but especially bad on the left foot. I am really in need of some advice and suggestions on what to do to help it go away permanently.
I rarely get the blisters on my left hand, which led me to believe that this may be something I am touching because I am right handed. I started using plastic gloves to chop onion, garlic and chillies, and I wear gloves whilst cooking and washing dishes, but the blisters haven't gone away. The odd thing is that my fingernail (ring finger) has become distorted (much like the rest of my finger) and there are blisters under the finger nail that can be clearly seen.
Anyway it did the trick and I almost forgot what it felt like to have a dry cracked hand until my left hand became itchy about 2 years later. Now I have it on my left and tried using ELIDEL and it hasn't worked. Most likely because it may be expired. I'm going to make any appointment soon to get it checked out so I will let you know how it goes.
I also have a few, very tiny clear looking bumps/bubbles on the palm of my left hand. I can lift the skin with a sterilized needle and the skin comes up as if it just peels right off. Sometimes they reappear, sometimes they do not. I am curious as to what you think this may be. I do wear latex gloves a lot, I also wash my hands very often. Could it be that I do not rinse my hands well enough or the latex gloves?
Surgury leaves a small pit scar on the arm. I have like 12 on one are and 8 on the other. Do you have them on your back or around the crack of your butt? i have like 2 on my back and one on the crack of my butt where the tail bone is ( yeah i know seems gross but its not noticelable) I also find that if you use the adhesive part of a band aid (sticky part with out the pad material) and cover up a big bump for like 9 days, it actually reduces some swelling.
It has started on my right hand and is gradually spreading to my left hand. only on my hands and no where else on my body. After the blisters first appear and itch, after a couple of days they come to the surface of the skin and dry red irratated skin appears which then flakes off if I scratch it and sometimes cracks appear and bleed if they get too dry. I always wear gloves to wash up and clean with but never to cook or shower my children with or of coruse after using the toilet.
I have the blistery, itchy, hurty, flesh colored bumps on my palms and fingers, too. I don't have them all the time, but I have noticed that my bumps seem to multiply in relation to how stressed I feel. The ones on my palms drive me crazy until I succeed in scratching them open to release the clear liquid. OK, it's pus. I haven't gone to a dermatologist because I didn't want to pay a specialist big money to tell me that they can only guess what it is.
Hello. I am a female, mid-twenties, graphic designer. For the last year, I have been getting little red bumps around my fingers on my right hand. The first time this happened there was minimal pain, one outbreak & about two or three bumps. They only lasted a week or so. 6 weeks ago it happened again but more severally.
Since the outbreak I have had itchy palms and occasionally itchy ankles and feet, but my only outbreak of DH is on my elbows. Celiac Sprue or an allergy to wheat can be very silent and difficult to diagnose without the proper blood tests or biopsy of the small intestine. I'm hoping that following a gluten free diet will resolve my DH and itchy hands and feet, not to mention my chronic anemia.
And she is starting to get the tiny clusters of bumps in the palms of her hands and they are itching as well. She has not shown sighns of the rash or blisters anywhere else on her body other than the palms of her feet and now on the palms of her hands. She has not had a feavor or sore throught or any other symptoms. No one else in the family has gotten this and we have been scratching it for her and cleaning it and putting medicaion on it so I assume that it is not contagious.
Another interesting thing that is strange is that it is always mirrored to both hands, so if I am itching on the index finger on the right hand it also itches in the same place on the left hand. At most, the itchyness is worst on the centre of my palms, close to my wrists.
It was really intense but went away on it's on. A couple of hours later my left hand started itching in the exact spot the right hand had itched. Then 2 hours later the inside of my left foot started itching. It was so bad. It felt like there was a bug or something under my skin. It lasted an hour. It was so bad I started feeling sick to my stomach. I took an allergy pill and it went away.
It used to affect me badly on my feet but it's totally cleared up there now but I get it on two fingers on the left hand and on the edge of my palm and my thumb on the right. Last year, I was in America and I found due to being at the beach quite often that the sand helped dry it out and not affect it so badly. Now I'm not saying we should all pack up and move down to the beaches but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience?
For a couple hours after I play hockey and get sweaty, they turn darker again. I also have the spots on the side of my left hand, just past my thumb. on my right hand, there's a spot on top of my hand. I've set a dermatology appointment, but the soonest I can get in is 3 months from now. I'm hoping it's just some sort of dermatitis and nothing too major.
