Sometimes on the ends of the fingers the split in the skin is deeper, in which case the skin feels hard and numb and takes longer to peel off. Exfoliative keratolysis may precede an itchy form of eczema in which there are small fluid-filled blisters. Emollient(moisturizing) hand creams especially those containing urea, lactic acid, or silicone will help the condition, steroid ointments do not improve this. ref:http://dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/exfoliative-keratolysis.
If the athletes foot flares up, back come the itchy fingers, and as the feet clear up, so do my fingers. Sometimes my fingers have also become cross-infected with the fungal infection from my feet, resulting in a spreading rash with an itchy edge that is clear in the middle, and responds to anti-fungal cream. I understand that 4-5% of people suffer from this allergy to athletes foot. (The rash on fingers are called dermatophytids!
They start out as one or two and then I might get a few more and they seem to cluster up on only the sides of my fingers. They are not itchy but they are sore to the touch when you run your finger over them. It feels like you have a splinter. They are slightly raised and red in color. They will stay for varying lengths of time and then dry up and go away. Usually not for more than a couple of weeks. I may go for months and months and not get them and then all of a sudden they show up.
On no medications of any kind. This occurs in both hands; palms and fingers. During the past two weeks it has occurred 3x. I had one doctor, years ago, who showed some interest. Had clotting time checked, normal. I too worry that this make eventually occur else where in my circulatory system.
Since the outbreak I have had itchy palms and occasionally itchy ankles and feet, but my only outbreak of DH is on my elbows. Celiac Sprue or an allergy to wheat can be very silent and difficult to diagnose without the proper blood tests or biopsy of the small intestine. I'm hoping that following a gluten free diet will resolve my DH and itchy hands and feet, not to mention my chronic anemia.
all itchy arm sufferers....please look into brachioradial pruritus. My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery pills..my list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs.
I suffer with itchy rashes on the palms of my hands, fingers, ankles and toes. I've had this for almost 2 years. It is so miserable as I am a nurse and have to wash my hands many times a day. I've had topical allergy testing and found out I'm allergic to Nickle, Gold, Formaldehyde, Fragrances, bacitracin ointment, Neomycin ointment, Diazoldinyl Urea, Quaternium 15, Carba Mix. I had severe reactions to the skin patches. I am currently in the process of changing some of the products I use.
I suffered from all the debilitating itchy leg symptoms described here, primarily on Sunday mornings when I was extra stressed trying to get the family out the door in time to teach Sunday school. Since I always change the sheets on Saturday, my husband suggested that it might be the detergent/fabric softener. Switching to unscented, hypo-allergenic products did help to alleviate the problem, and today I am symptom free.
I have the same situation. It started a little while after I gave birth. It is only an itchy inner labia. No other side affects. I was tested for a yeast and bacteria infections. My ob-gyn has no clue (I went to 2). It comes and goes and is itchy!! I can not figure this out!!!
Next, I got a HUGE red, itchy bump on my upper leg. Then, I got small yellowish-clear bumps on my fingers. Last, I got a small, very itchy bump on the side of my penis. It actually looked like it had a hole in it. I also got a small red bump on the head of my penis. I finally managed to get in to a Dermitologist. The Dermitologist said this looked like scabies, but my primary doctor disagreed because my fiancée doesn't have them, and they are very contagious.
Hi: I know itchy skin doesn't sound like a big problem, but my legs and arms itch like they were about to fall off everytime I take a shower. I don't have dry skin and I use Aveeno body lotion everyday to make sure I get enough moisture. The itching is like an intense tingling only on my arms and legs (mostly on my legs) and it's so bad that sometimes I just want to run yelling into the street.
Today I started to calm down about the HIV (largely due to this forum). Here's the thing, since then I've had different of my fingers become tingly/numb. My fingers and toes are cold. It mostly affected my pinky, but for example, right now my pinky is fine and my middle finger is tingly/numb and the sole of my right foot is tingly/burny. At times it is the palms of my hands or soles of my feet. Over the past day I've begun to feel itchy on my legs, chest and scrotum.

I have been to Dermatologists who have given me every type of cream there is available, but nothing seems to work on these 'itchy spots'. They are starting to effect me emotionally because the discoloration and deep holes take forever to heal and I notice people in public staring at them. I get them mainly on my hands, tops and sides of fingers, but sometimes will develop a large blister on my palms. I also get them on my feet.
I once had a spot in the middle of my back that felt numb, itchy, and sunburned all at the same time. I would try to scratch it, but I couldn't feel it! My right lower back also goes completely numb for weeks at a time--but still itches somehow.
I have hundreds of small extremely itchy/burny blisters on my hands, they are along the sides of my fingers (and recently on my palms and wrists) and are intensely itchy. When the blisters have burst, there is a clear liquid in them, and then the skin goes hard and about a week later just peels off, the skin underneath is paperthin and is so sensitive. Ive been to the docs and he said it was contact dermatitis but I only have it on my hands and fingers, nowhere else at all.
Typing makes ½ wrist (side w/thumb on right hand) has shape and stinging pain the other half feels numb. Around 5pm my fingers feel pins and needles or numbness; I can barely feel pressure. I have the same symptoms with my left hand, but not as bad. 4/8/09. I have numbness and shape sting pain in my right arm. Muscle spasms in back and upper right leg. Back pain that follows my spine, it starts around my shoulder blades and moves down and back.
Oh, normally the onset to a peel will begin with hundreds of red pin ***** looking bumps all over the palms and fingers! The hands will swell. This process is very painful and can itch! But it will go away and the layers of skin will then peel.
I noticed at this time that my palms were very red, almost purplish and the vein on my palms near the thumb were raised more than usual, hands felt swollen. The pain was excruciating. I took a hot bath to try to sooth things and I had to get out because I could bearly breathe. I went to the doctor who put me on zoloft and diazepam. This took away a lot of the pain.
This prompted me to see a doctor and from the week of that doctors visit on, strange symptom after symptom began to emerge (nausea, lack of appetite, numb/tingly arms, for a couple of weeks lower shins had perfect red dots in pores, Intermittent numbness in face that has gotten better, 30 pound weight loss 1st 2 months, strange chemical like smell in nose, burning/aching muscle/body pain all over, blurry vision, loss of hair on head, breast cyst, body twitches and tremors, Sensitive skin at dif
My fingers have been wrinkled for months now. It first started with one finger on my left hand and now all my fingers on my left hand are wrinkles. The strange thing is that there are no wrinkled fingers on my right hand. Im starting to get paranoid about this now and need someone to ease my mind that i dont have a medical condition. Can someone help?
so then I do, and it causes a burning sensation..I have it flare up on my palms, between my fingers, and on my fingers (top and bottom). If I squeeze my hand into a fist really tight while my hand itches it burns, and makes it worse. It keeps me awake at night, and my hands will swell to the size of baseball gloves if I scratch them all night. It also looks like little white dots under my skin when I scratch.

For example, if I carry a gallon of milk to the checkout counter my palms become red and itchy. On one occasion I was submerged in cold water during a canoe trip and I went into anaphylactic shock --huge hives broke out all over my body and my windpipe closed up leaving me gasping for breath. It was very scary because I was laying on the banks of river with nobody in sight except my boyfriend and we didn't know what was happening.
I get the little bumps on my hands (palms mostly but sometimes up on my fingers depending on the severity of the "break out") and on my feet (much rarer). I went to the doctor for it as a child eveytime it happened and after years of lotions, creams and steroids it still is hasn't gone away, although I've started to note patterns of break outs and they've gotten less frequent and severe. I've found at least 3 seperate triggers that cause break outs for me. The first is stress.
I have had no symptoms of having herpes but, today I woke up with a white line on the tip of my tongue and a numb feeling as well as sensitivity at the head of my penis, then at noon while urinating I came across a pimple about 1" done from the head of my penis smaller than a pin head right on top of a vein on the top left side of the shaft. I already know the i have herpes type-1 due to severe sunburn on my nose when i was 4 yrs old.
On my fingers, the palms of my hands, the bottoms of my feet, and my ankles. I get these bright purple circles (under the skin only) and they itch like crazy. Them my hands get really hot and I cannot move my fingers. My feet ache all of the time when this happens. I've been to the dr. who sent me to a dermatologist, and he has no clue what it is... he put me on a rx allergy med and some cortisone cream. that worked for about 3 days.
only where the sun doesnt fully reach..on the palms and inside of fingers i was thinking light therapy may help a uv light? anyone tried?
(e) How can I recongise the outbreak if I dont feel itchy or pain? I just merely feel thigh is a bit numb and buttock is a numb. (d) Yesturday after having virginal sex.
