My palms are not red until after I am digging at them. It is so severe that I have bruised the palms of my hands (both hands) from the scratching. There is no redness or dryness. I had my liver enzymes checked and they are within normal range. Doctor gave me ointment to use and it helps, but does not stop it. I had carpal tunnel surgery done 15+ years ago, both hands, and I did bring this up to the doctor. She said after this length of time, this should not be a problem.
The second time my Gyno prescribed medication for an infection and 1 week later I developed the itchy palms and upper chest. These are all allergic reactions. The first time I didn't know what was wrong with me, I too was waiting for money to come into my life, but after a week and that didn't happen, I went to a Walk-in clinic and they gave me prescription strength Benedryl and told me I was having an allergic reaction.

My mother has been having problems with her palms. Just the palms. It’s itchy, scaly, dry, cracked, and just painful for her. She’s gone to the doctor, but everything they have had her use does not work. It’s nowhere else on her body. Although she does have a patch of skin like that on the back of her neck every once in a while. But her palms have never healed. What could it be, and what things do you recommend to help? The doctors have not been able to do anything. She’s desperate.
My 2 year old daughter has severely itchy palms of her hands and soles of her feet, to the point her hands are swollen and bright red and the bottoms of her feet are bright red, her hands and feet also get very hot to the touch. During the day it doesn’t bother her as much but at night she can hardly sleep. This has been going on for 3 weeks and her Pediatrician and Dermatologist are not sure what her diagnosis is.
I am suspicious about being infected, I tested 2 months negative and waiting to do another test after one more month. I feel burning, sometimes itchy palms, numbness also existing. I would like to mention that a month ago I had pink rash in my hand palms and foot soles, and skin was peeling, but it got back to normal now. what could this be? is somehow an indication to HIV?
I have read numerous times there have been situations with HepC where the palms of your hands will become red, itchy and hot....bring it to your dr's attn as soon as you can.......it may be something else, but it may all be a part of your disease. Good luck.....gold bond cream works great.....and may soothe your hands..
Does PEP cause itchy palms? My palms have been itching for the past couple of days. I've been on PEP for about a week now.
I have recently developed little itchy bumps only on the palms of both hands and the bottom of both feet in the arch area. I can see them under the skin and when I scratch them they pop open and have water inside. If I scratch an area more will surface. I've never had this before. Can it be an allergy to something? Stress? My Dr. gave me a steroid cream to use at night with gloves and it's not working.
My allergic reaction on the palms of my hands has been raging for over a year, it is now going up my fingers and spreading. (itchy, dry, cracking, can't keep hydrated, lizard like palms). Does anyone have any information about kitchen utensils, grips on pans, knives, spatulas, handles, etc? I recently changed the tape on my handlebars to cloth and am hopeful.
ve been reading the forum threads - very helpful - but no one has noted my exact problem, which is itchy bumps on the palms of my hands. Not red, or white, they seem to come from within. My Dr. said they are probably not bites, as insects do not break the skin of the palms (too thick), and thinks it might be an allergy (to WHAT???).
He gave me some corticosteroid cream (this one has Fluocinonide), but it hasn't helped much yet (have used it for a little over a day).
hae ...i have a recurrent issue with the skin from my palms..it recurently peels off in patches which is quite embarassing..it`s totally painless and not itchy atall.please advice me on what my problem is and how to solve it.I HAVE HEARD THIS PROBLEM FOR over 6 years now.please help.
This problem not only happens on my palms bt also the entire hand in patches,on my feet also.
