Every morning for the last two months I wake up with itchy palms, no rash, no dry skin, just terriby itchy palms. Sometimes it tingles and itches for the first hour after waking. It feels as if there is no blood flow to my hands, but I really have no idea what this means or if it is something I should be concerned about.
I'm feeling overwhelmed and I have lost faith in my doctors. Does anyone else have these other symtoms as well as the itchy palms? Very Upset.

Hi everyone, I've been reading the forum threads - very helpful - but no one has noted my exact problem, which is itchy bumps on the palms of my hands. Not red, or white, they seem to come from within. My Dr. said they are probably not bites, as insects do not break the skin of the palms (too thick), and thinks it might be an allergy (to WHAT???). He gave me some corticosteroid cream (this one has Fluocinonide), but it hasn't helped much yet (have used it for a little over a day).
Well now I'm trying to withdraw from Klonopin, another benzodiazepine, and I'vebeen on it since then - and it is also late October, very cold and dry. the heels of my feet are itchy again at night, and sometimes the palms of my hands. Could this be withdrawal symptoms, or otherwise neurologically related, or could it be something else such as reaction to the climate changes?
Itching on the palms of your hands and base of your feet can be symptoms of choliostatsis. You should see a doctor if the itching is really bad as it can cause problems for you and your baby and can cause complications. My mum had it with my little brother and had to be induced early. Good luck :).
Hello, Itchy palms with out any rash can be due to contact dermatitis, fungal infections, excessive sweating or eczema. Take some Benadryl or Claritin for the itching and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton-lined gloves when doing housework such as dishes and laundry and use a good moisturizing cream to nourish the hands and feet at night. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids may be needed and systemic diseases which can cause itchy palms need to be ruled out.
Your palms of your hands and feet get itchy (but not limited to) and often times gets worse at night it is a condition that should be monitored and often times doctors induce early. They don't know why but it has a link to still births. I plan on getting the blood tests done it doesn't hurt to be sure.

You need to avoid such activities which will trigger the event like wearing tight clothing (affecting areas of constriction), sitting for prolonged periods of time on a hard surface (affecting the buttocks), an extended period of walking (affecting the soles and feet), or carrying heavy bags of groceries (affecting the palms and hands).
ive read about the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands becoming splotchy red and itchy while pregnant but mine are strictly the tops. I dont have a rash of hives or anything...the only bumps and cuts on them are from me scratching so much. I initially thought it must be from my feet and hands swelling due to all my water retention...but ive been having issues with the water retention for quite sometime and this itchiness just appeared out of nowhere...
i got itchy spots on the palms of my hands, I thought it was spider bite but then i noticed red spots on my ankles and up the back of my legs. it is getting really annoying so can someone please help me out!!!
Since I came back from my vacation to Cuba, about a month ago, I developed some how tiny circular itchy things both in the inside and outside of my palms and feet. I also had an itchy spot on my scrotum for just 5 or 6 days, but got rid of it by applying a kind of whitish cream the doctor gave me for free. Now, the most disturbing ones are these itchy little stuffs, some of them perfectly round with a kind of a dark dot at its center and rigid. They are itchy mostly at night.
My 2 year old daughter has severely itchy palms of her hands and soles of her feet, to the point her hands are swollen and bright red and the bottoms of her feet are bright red, her hands and feet also get very hot to the touch. During the day it doesn’t bother her as much but at night she can hardly sleep. This has been going on for 3 weeks and her Pediatrician and Dermatologist are not sure what her diagnosis is.
Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized.
One symptom I am confused about happens to my feet and I am wondering if it can be related to autoimmune disorders. My feet are very itchy most of the time and turn hot and red. Lately when this happens there is some swelling and they sweat a lot. The swelling is scary too. I also have leg weakness (don't know if it is related), crawing sensations in my legs. My feet really bother me, they get so hot I stick them out of the covers at night.
I just started noticing tiny bumps between my toes and i started thinking it was athletes foot because my feet have been swelling from the pregnancy and sweating more than normal. Last night was the first time i woke up in the middle of the night with my feet itching so bad that i wanted to cut my toes off!!! It was because of last night that i started researching and i found your post. I haven't gone to the doctor yet but reading about the severity you experienced is concerning.
Interested to read your post I have also just started to get an itchy 'burning' itch on my palms and feet, and I have also been pregnant recently (like yourself I also had a miscarriageand itching remains). Co-incidence? I have no useful tips unfortunately I was online looking for help myself!
The medical term for intense or severe non-inflammatory itchy palms and/or feet without any apparent cause or etiology is called "eczematoid dyshidrosis" which translates to "eczema-like tiny water blisters under the skin that itches". Not-counting things like eczema, psoriasis, or specific diagnosed skin allergies, it's been long recognized by our medical establishment that eczematoid dyshidrosis is caused by underlying emotional or psychological stress.
Dyshidrotic eczema typically starts as tiny itchy blisters along the sides of the fingers or feet and then turns into red, scaling areas. It would be best to have it evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
For the past 3 days I have had very itchy palms, to the point where they start burning. It seems to stop when I am sitting or laying still. As soon as I get up and move around the itching starts, almost instantly. I have not changed anything at home. I had neck surgery 3 weeks ago due to a motorcycle accident. I also noticed this morning that my feet were itching today as well. I have been having random hives all over my body that come and go and itch very bad.
Dear Doctor, I have had a very bad rash near the bottom left and right of my right palm only! It started out to be just very itchy also waking me in the middle of the night, then small raised blisters appeared and the area became inflamed and wider in range. I have been to 3 doctors and we have ruled out any kind of contact dermatitis and I have been on a wide range of different creams and tapes.
My 79 yr old mother has been suffering for several months with severe itching, burning, redness and mild swelling of her palms and soles. A dermo has been treating her for erythromelalgia. Noted on one visit - mild warmth. He says the presentation is somewhat atypical. She is up during the night when it appears to be worse using ice to cool and stop itching.
