It could be something to do with your liver that's what they told my friend you should call your doctor tomorrow and ask if you can be seen and get them to do tests to make sure it's not anything to do with your liver

It hurts and I hate how bad it is making my legs look. I started off with itchy ankles and now it is the whole of my legs, my bum and stomach!

Hi..im 32 weeks now. From last one week I'm having itchy rashes on my tummy,legs and hands. They are very itchy. I'm cont bare this anymore. Do anyone have the same situation? I learnt it happens in third trimester and there is no particular treatment.and lasts till delivery.

yes tell your doctor as there is a very rare illness called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy it affects the liver, but it could also be cus estrogen is high during pregnancy and causes the itching and usually disappears after birth, so yes make sure u mention it...i get really itchy legs i itch them til they are red raw...

I was super itchy for weeks and just had a blood test done and found out my liver isnt funtioning properly and I am now getting induced next week so I would bring it up to your doctor!

i have itchy legs also that i scratch, i look like im mule kicking my leg as i use the heel of my left foot to scratch which takes off layers of skin, i just had a blood test and my results did not show liver problems so what else i have a scar on my right leg from as i call it mule kicking once they heal i can go for days with out it itching then all at once im kicking again, but i find that its from the heat and moisture in the air at my work when im home with my legs free to the air im fine

Same thing happened to me. I mentioned it to midwife and that the itching was worse at night. She drew blood and I had elevated liver bile acid levels. She then gave me medication that I have to take twice a day as well as herbal detox drops for the liver. The condition is obstetric cholestasis and you only get it in pregnancy.. It ***** but, goes away after.

For some days now i been having really bad itchy skin....my face, chest, arms, legs but i dont have a rash....i looked it up and some say its normal but then some website said it can be a liver problem...im so worried right now...i got to wait till the morning to call my dr...praying its nothing bad. While sleeping, elevate your legs on at least 3 pillows. Whenever you sit raise your legs to your buttocks level. If you need to stand for long, keep shifting your weight from one leg to another and keep moving your legs. Tight stockings or crepe bandage too can help reduce the swelling. You maybe want to mention this to your midwife or doctor as sometimes in pregnancy you can develop itchiness which is caused by problems with your liver. It is rare but a simple blood test can rule it out.

Thanks for the advise. As for the meds I don't know anything about it. My doctor never said anything to me about it. She want me to go see a gastro doctor for my liver. And an ultrasound on my liver wensday. What's the best meds out there? Are they shots or pills? How long do u take them?
